Only an illiterate or fanatic will say Elrufai don't need SK votes. The election was politics and not a fight between SK and NK. If it were so, then i will agree that the NK candidate dont really need the SK votes to win. This is cos there are more muslim voters than Christian voters in Kaduna. Voters, Not Population.

I voted against Elrufai and of coz, I ain't happy he won. However, that is politics. A winner must emerge and there is nothing I or anyone can do about it. I will personally pick Elrufai over Ashiru on a good day but since Elrufai hates me, I can't love him either.

That said, deep within you, you know Elrufai won due to
1. Federal might and collaboration with securities
2. The PDP candidate was quite weak. Upon that, He didn't run a robust campaign.
3. Elrufai as usual used religion to gain favor. he knows that the average Northern Muslim has a very fanatical disposition. Even when Yakowa contested against a Muslim, we didn't hear the kind of nonsense divisive statements we heard like now that he contested with a fellow Muslim.

My joy though is that he hates us in SK and we showed him our disdain for him too. I only hope that the division he has brought in Kad will end now that he has won else, all I see is a timebomb of curfew upon curfew.

You obviously understand kaduna politics and what's on ground, you can't be more right.

The voters apathy was very obvious to say the least, it was various TV and radio stations.

The reason was mostly linked to the lost of fate in the electoral procedure of Nigeria since their preferred candidate lost.

For instance my polling unit has a total of 602 for PDP and 16 for APC for the presidential election (I actually voted for APC here), but compare to the 456 for PDP and 8 for APC in the gubernatorial election.

I saw on a thread where you clearly indicated an indifference with El Rufai choice of a Muslim Muslim ticket, believing since it is not in the constitution it has nothing to do with anything. The zoning that is recorded from the parties in presidential election; what do you have to say about that? It is more of a unity thing.

I believe you are in kaduna, and you know that religion matter alot here, can you convince why you think that religion is no longer determinant factor in kaduna politics and social economic issues.

I believe it is Kwankwaso, he move out from APC knowing fully well he can't be flag bearer in the just concluded election with buhari being there. And he is also aware that by 2023 APC would championed someone from the west.

Locking the card to a polling unit is a software instruction inside the card. You can un-do that and have it vote at any polling unit. I can bet you they are already doing so.

You can program the PVCs to fail to read/vote. You can give it other mischievous instructions that I cant mention here cause polititians would do an undoable with it.

You can print the PVC at home, and polititians are already doing so. Its no conspiracy theory cause few months before the presidential election, PVCs were seen being sold on alibaba.
