Foreign Affairs / Re: Revisiting The Basics About The Current Balance Of Military Power by emae009(m): 9:06am On Jan 01, 2022 |
Lol... A long epistle from the self-claimed "woke people" to explain nothing. I like how you all always downplay the capability of the US. It makes for a good read. The hail mary phrase of "Lost all the wars since WWII" is always the first blow. Follow by touting weapon systems that aren't battle tested (in contested environment) and claiming superiority to ones that have been tested and proven themselves. Well it's a new year. I hope you lots do a lot more reading this year before displaying ignorance on a public forum |

To avoid all these hullabaloo. I believe the AFCON should be moved to a summer schedule like other continents' tournament. I know tradition plays a major part but we are in a dynamic world. Change is always inevitable 4 Likes 1 Share |

Generalwoodz: I have like 5 I'd recommend but I won't, on grounds that you don't that both scenario (blackberry demise and crypto prediction) are not the same thing. Most top analysts had predicted that by now Bitcoin would hit $100,000 price point. At the time, they weren't wrong but look where we are now. Blackberry on the other hand were making mistake after even after so many before them had fallen. they refused to listen and doubled down on their stubbornness until it was too late. That is something that's easy to predict. The market on the other hand is controlled by demand and supply forces with a sprinkle of whales movement. that ensures unpredictability. Not even WB would give you predictions with 100% certainty 1 Like |

Politics / Re: 134m Nigerians Without NIN As Linkage With SIM Deadline Ends Tomorrow by emae009(m): 12:01pm On Dec 30, 2021 |
Officialgarri: common backend verification with Telecoms companies is taking them this long. You want to overload with BVN. Like FG like you, you guys like to created unnecessary workload and work overlap for nothing. A more less time and resource consuming route would be to transition BVN to NIN. There are more BVNs than NIN. A simple database transfer would have solved all these problem. The Advanced countries only have one verification code for very thing important. It's only in Nigeria that we are about having 3 and the 3 aren't interconnected. The next Government will come up with their own Identity code. 4 Likes |
Properties / Re: What About Using 9-inches “Solid Blocks” For The FOUNDATION Of Buildings.?? by emae009(m): 9:21am On Dec 29, 2021 |
BluntCrazeMan: the weight of a 9" solid sandcrete blocks is massive. That's for just one. if you multiply it by the number of blocks needed to reach the "German floor". that's a whole lot of weight. In Nigeria, except in specials scenarios, must construction are done by experience not what is stated by the Engineer. A PS that has built a storey building before will always use that knowledge to build the next one without taking into consideration things like soil bearing capacity and others. So why I said you should increase the depth of the foundation is because most foundation structures are built using the hollow blocks so whosoever is in charge will use that same knowledge without considering the weight of the blocks. The foundation might carry but it will exert so much stress on it that it might be close to it's failure point |

While the weight of a 9" sandcrete blocks is more than its hollow brother, the strength isn't. What Engineers tend to solve most in construction is how to reduce the weight (excessive load) without compromising the strength and stability of the structure. Sure you can use it, but you'll have to increase your foundation depth to carry it's extra load which overall increase the cost of the project |

Kingcalls: Your wailing doesn't change the fact that Messi will retire as arguably the greatest of all time if and only if he doesn't win the world cup as the older generation won't give him the throne absolutely without it. Ronaldo will retire as one of the greats in history if he likes let him play in all the leagues and score 2000 goals. Foreign Affairs / Re: A Full Scale War BTW Russia And NATO. What Are The Possibilities? by emae009(m): 9:57am On Dec 22, 2021 |
sunboy: any ballistic missile in Cuba will lead to a full scale invasion of Cuba within 14 days. With a Naval blockade, Cuba will not get any external help. Anybody that tries to help will collect. Part of that agreement was the backdoor removal of missiles from Turkey. Those missiles have been returned to Turkey but Russia don't have the global power to mobilize into the Western Hemisphere and drop missiles in Cuba anymore. The Soviet Union had, Russia doesn't 1 Like |

Thread of full of people that don't even know what they are saying. NATO already have Russia where they want them, backed into a corner, without any real chance of expansion. The idea behind NATO creation is being fulfilled. I'm seeing a lot of Georgia confrontation with Russia as a case for Russia bravado. You guys really need to read. Georgia wasn't a NATO state to being with so how did you expect NATO to come fight Georgia's war? you guys should make it make sense na. Oh! the funniest one is MAD and how Russia has nukes to destroy the whole word. You guys should really read, most of the nuclear stockpile in the world are in cold storage meaning it will take resources to activate them. The question you all should answer first before jumping on nuclear way is whether Russia has the resources necessary to activate those stockpile faster than their Western counterpart. Finally, this is a prediction. They will be no war whatsoever. Concessions will be make by both sides and Ukraine will be allowed to join NATO bringing an end to Russian aggressions against former Soviet states. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Russian lawmakers are suggesting that Russia deploys intercontinental ballistic nuclear weapons to Cuba and Venezuela. I believe that is the decision russia would take first before launching an invation. funniest ish I've read. Those lawmakers need to read the conditions for which Cuba is allowed to be friends with Russia. Any ballistic missile in Cuba will be a full scale invasion of Cuba. Russia tries to help, them collect join. Joke of a suggestion. While likes the say all options are usually on the table so not surprised there |
