TheBiafran:Total knockout with facts. Good job |
raker300:Thank you for pointing that out. Does he know how much tomatoes Ebonyi and Abia women produce. Do you know that if we depend on northern tomatoes it will rot before it get to the east due to poor storage facilities. People think with your head. |
. |
This is a myth that needs to stop. The overwhelming number of fresh produce consumed in Igboland is produced locally. Igbos don't depend on the north for food produce. Anambra alone is currently producing food surplus and has began exporting some fresh produce. Ebonyi people are the food basket of the east. Outside of aba and umuahia, the rest of Abia state is dominated by farms. In fact a number of visionary Igbo business men have started their own cattle farms in Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi. Stop with this myth. We don't depend on the north for food. |
betterABIAstate:I started my business 3 months ago in the east and I am amazed at the revenue we are generating. People got money in the east and I will continue to grow and invest there. My brother and I are already planning another investment there in 2 years. |
I have asked for northerners in the past to post average northern neighborhood pictures just like we used to see in the multiple eastern threads but all they keep doing is to post bridges, highways, hospital, government house etc. I have no idea how the neighborhood of the average norhterner look unlike I see in the east. |
Igbos need to just focus on developing Igboland and don't pay attention to the haters. We shall get there one building at a time. |
When I tell people that massive development is going on in the south-east, they keep doubting. Please visit the south east and see for yourself. |
PentiumPro:Nothing confusing here. They are one Nigeria by force and your Buhari has threatened to kill them if they try to leave. |
PentiumPro:You can't eat your cake and have it. Afterall, we are one Nigeria so those Igbo men and women are there in Lagos because you forced them to stay in Nigeria. So as long as one Nigeria remains, they shall milk the cow with their businesses. They are playing the one Nigeria game too. |
PentiumPro:Yes I just started my own business in the east with my hard earned money. It's three months old and the revenue is amazing and cost of doing business is actually good unlike Lagos. More investment from me and my older brother is in the drawing board. I will keep all my investment in the east and expand outside Nigeria when it grows. I will never ever invest in the north or Lagos. God forbid. |
Here we go again with this old debunked lie. |
Ayomikun37:Your words sounds good to the ears until you open your eyes and see the reality. Nigeria is a tribalistic country and has always been. Nothing is done based on merit. And "NO" my friend, we are not Nigerian first before our tribes. |
PentiumPro:And that's fine with me. Igboland is still powering on with development and nothing can stop that. Igbo sons and daughters are beginning to invest massively back home. We always did everything for ourselves with no government help. So take your vote and shove it up your buttocks. |
I challenge anyone to name one good thing Igbo presidency will do for the average igbo man? Every policy the Igbo president comes up with will have to pass through a northern dominated senate and house of rep. Igbos need to use what happened to GEJ and learn lesson from it. Even if you mange to win the presidency, they will create something worse than boko haram to frustrate you. Stop this nonsense Igbo presidency and focus on building Igbo land. |
Stop this nonsense lie. Nobody can fix Nigeria. The problem with Nigeria is the system of govenance in place. An Igbo presidency with the current system in place won't change anything. |
The answer is a big "YES" I have studied Nigerian politics very carefully. One lesson I have learnt is "never ever underestimate the Yorubas igbophobia". It is the foundation and driving force of southwest politics on a national level. The Yorubas are one of the most intelligent groups in Africa and the world at large but they are the only group in modern history that will support a backward group to rule if they feel politically threatened. Yorubas feel threatened by the possibility of an Igbo dominance both economically and politically. Because of it, they make irrational and ultra emotional political choices that are beneficial to them in the short term but always disasterous to them in the long term. History proves me right. So let's all continue suffering and smiling. |
SeverusSnape:Exactly what I was thinking....lol |
This is the type of thread that zombies like to peep and run.. |
comrChris:Thank you. Ebonyi state is going through a silent revolution and nobody is talking about it. |
arresa:You mean the same south-east that I did a 2 months tour? The same south east has the highest construction boom going on in Nigeria. PERIOD. Keep living in denial. The EAST is moving forward...LOL Unlike you folks my people don't tolerate bad governance and they call out their governors but you guys have been protecting that useless governor. Sophisticated SHAME |
Propaganda Has limits and Osun state has finally reached it. They have only N6million when you deduct the debt they already incurred. More APC propaganda will continue to unfold as time goes on. You can win with propaganda but you cannot govern with propaganda. |

banki:Nigeria is a depressing country. |
Lexusgs430:Proof that you didn't read the news before you commented. |
This is no news. It was bound to happen. More west African countries will follow soon. Applause to ivory coast and their visionary leader. Edit: Ivory coast, south African and Kenya are the African countries where the average farmer are just as rich as the business men. The all have lots of medium scale farmers. |
jmichlins:1) Buhari did not meet an empty treasury. The bailout money didn't fall down from the sky 2) Devaluation of the naira has already happened unofficially. The government is just in denial. He is indirectly subsidizing forex for those with the means and connection to get the official exchange. The average, Nigeria exchange at N350 to 1 dollar. 3) Once again where did the money for the subsidy come from if the treasury was empty. Plus it was Ifeanyi uba of capital oil that help stop the hijack from the marketers not buhari. GEJ said so many times that the government owed no money to the marketers which turned out to be true. 4) You say he has big plans but there is no money to implement them, so how did he get money to explore oil in the chad basin in north east? Do you know how expensive it is to drill oil? 5) Yes, it true that Nigeria is not alone in the oil crisis but lack of leadership and cluelessness has made things worse. He took freaking 6 months just to get a mediocre cabinet? No economic summit? Nothing, Just travel left and right |
