SuperOnyi:I'll advice if you've started seeing money without ads, you can focus on just writing more books When you see good cash coming in, you can turn your direction to ads. My opinion |
SuperOnyi:I mean what you need isn't more info, it's to start writing with what you know, you'll gain experience and it'll teach you more that anything what you should or shouldn't do. It's much faster for your level write books and publish, see what's working and not, get feedback, repeat the process. What cheehummer said |
SuperOnyi:The best thing for you is to gain experience, write, you'll have wins and losses and learn and get better, just focus on execution. |
Penboy:You see a good book, write a summary of it and publish it independently. Books that are good but too long to read, their summaries were selling. But some people wrote bad books, I guess they stopped |
alakara:I wished I had known, all that time wasted, well, it was a good book. |
Penboy:They're culling bad books to improve quality I wrote a summary book and it was blocked saying users have bad experience and against authors write I then asked if I can rewrite the book with my own style and they were like: When we find that publishers are out of compliance with a Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) policy, we let them know so that they can address the issue. This helps ensure a better experience for customers. For security reasons, we can't provide details about our internal procedures. To learn more about our policies, check ....... |

If you are to underestimate anything in this life, you don’t want to underestimate the heart. 2 things to support this; First, all that Allah says is true, no doubt about that, and when He then swears, it is to show emphasis. Allah did not swear with anything more than what he swore with regarding the heart, saying about it: By the sun and its brightness; And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); And by the day as it shows up (the sun's) brightness; And by the night as it conceals it (the sun); And by the heaven and Him Who built it; And by the earth and Him Who spread it, And by the soul and Him Who perfected him in proportion;……Indeed he succeeds who purifies it. And indeed he fails who corrupts it. It being the heart. And He says about the Day of Judgement: The Day where neither wealth nor sons will avail. Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart. 37 The 2nd is the saying of Prophet about the heart: “There is a piece of flesh in the body. If it is sound, the whole body is sound. If it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. It is the heart.” In summary, if people fail in the area of the heart, there is no success after that. And regarding it, scholars best describe it with the body. The body’s main function is to sustain life and does so with two abilities; perception(senses) and movement. What affects the soundness of the body is diseases from mild to severe, and to the degree they are severe, the body loses its function and dies. Similar is the heart, whose function is to remain in a state of purity and soundness. It does so with 2 abilities; perception and desire. By perception, what it perceives as true, and desire, what it seeks/intends. The heart can also be affected by diseases mainly doubt and desire, and in affecting its abilites, it will perceive as true that which is false, and desire that which harms it. Think about this, rather than give a lengthy explanation, I’ll mention what Allah said about magic in surah Baqarah: ……And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew. And if they had believed, and guarded themselves from evil and kept their duty to Allah, far better would have been the reward from their Lord, if they but knew! So one might say, due to disease in their heart, they sought that which harmed them, and if their hearts were sound, they would have sought that which was of greater benefit. How many people in our time take lightly magic, or think some of its people use it for good? Indeed the heart is mainly attacked by falsehood and deception. So how can one seek soundness and purification of the soul? Similar to the body, the (right)doctors and their medicine, and staying away from that which harms them. And amongst the most potent cure for the heart is the remembrance of Allah. |
For an institution that compels us to spend long years of our lives, giving us a lot of information to learn without teaching us how to actually learn, it is very ironic. There are many benefits to understanding how to learn, such as intrinsic motivation, deeper understanding, and enhanced problem-solving skills—things that help us outside of school as well. Instead, what they do is lower the bar, which is not good in the long term for anyone. One example is the subject of mathematics, which many students struggle with. I came across research that said the major reason students fail in math is that they don’t believe in themselves. Imagine if all we had to do to improve students' math performance was work on their beliefs, but instead, the opposite is often the case. Many students are criticized for low performance. I know of a case where a boy was insulted and beaten by his father for bringing home poor results. When he grew up, he couldn’t finish his education, hated school, and didn’t know why he was doing it. Can you blame such a person? It’s like trying to train someone to become a professional athlete by criticizing every mistake and punishing them. What do you expect them to become? Nothing will show growth, motivation, and a positive attitude in an environment of negative reinforcement. Learning isn’t even hard, and if done correctly, it can be very healthy and beneficial. We can tap into people’s curiosity and their natural desire to learn and understand. Things like asking the right questions, exploring the topics being discussed, connecting them to real-world examples and applications, and providing encouragement can go a long way. In learning how to learn, there are two main things: first, beliefs, which can be easily addressed depending on what a person has come to believe about themselves; second, strategies. To condense it, one needs to understand how the mind stores information, unlike a computer. A computer stores information linearly—garbage in, garbage out—directly taking in and retrieving data as it is, similar to memorizing. The mind, on the other hand, takes in information and connects it with other information it has stored. This makes the information in memory highly interconnected, creating associations between different pieces of information and forming a complex network of ideas, experiences, and concepts—in essence, understanding. This is why we have things like flexible thinking, creativity, and the ability to draw connections between seemingly unrelated topics, things that a computer cannot do. So, if one wants to learn new material, the best way is to form connections between the new material and what they already know. For example, think of photosynthesis as solar panels for plants, but instead of generating electricity, they produce food; the water cycle as Earth’s recycling system; electrical circuits as a road or highway, but for electricity. If you understand this, then you can understand the difficulty children face when you give them facts to memorize without trying to actually understand them, and how understanding makes learning much easier. The core of learning is understanding, and using this as a basis, we can perform more effective strategies to learn, such as active learning, chunking, elaboration, and creating analogies. I would like to know what you guys think about this, parents, students, is this something you find helpful? Would you like it for yourself or another? Share your thoughts. |

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb - may Allah preserve him - on the 6h, Jumādal Aakhar, 1438H 📩🔹Question: What is the criterion in combining the prayer due to rain? 📩🔸Answer: Ibn Qudāma, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: "The rain which permits the combining of the prayer is that which "wets" the clothes, and brings about difficulty when going out in it. As for At-Ṭallu (the lightest of rain) and (similarly) mild rain which doesn't wet the clothes, it doesn't permit it. And snow is like the rain in this, due to it falling under its essence, similarly the cold." Habīb Abū Muhammad رحمه الله said: “Do not sit idle, for verily death is seeking you!” [Az-Zuhd Li Abī Dunyā: 46] Alī ibn Abī Tālib رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever [truly] expects death, hastens to good!” [Mawsū’ah Ibn Abī Dunyā: 2/92] Al-Hasan Al-Basrī رحمه الله said: “A servant does not have extensive hopes except he acts poorly!” [Qasrul Amal: 501] Al-Hasan Al-Jarawī رحمه الله said: “He who is not moved by the Quran and death, if the mountains clashed before him, he will never be moved!” [Tabaqāt Al-Hanābilah: 1/362] Al-Rabī’ ibn Abī Rāshid رحمه الله said: “Remembering death has come between me and many business [related affairs]!” [Hilyatul Awliyā: 5/78] Al-Awzā’ī - may Allāh have mercy upon him- said: “Whoever remembers death often will find a small amount [of worldly things] sufficient for him! And whoever includes his speech in his deeds will speak little!” [Siyar A’lām Al-Nubalā: 7/108] Ḥasan Al-Basari – may Allāh have mercy on him – said: “How strange it is that a people whose departure [from this world to the next] has been announced, and whose predecessors have already departed, still play around!” [Al-Mujālasah wa Jawāhir Al-‘Ilm: 843] |
Antlislaam:I can think of a couple of reasons why: 1.Allah does what He wills Allah said(2:253) …..if Allah had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought against each other, after clear Verses of Allah had come to them, but they differed - some of them believed and others disbelieved. If Allah had willed, they would not have fought against one another, but Allah does what He likes. 2.The Quran is a revelation from Allah, and not the first, Allah has been revealing, each of them serving their purpose. Say (O Muhammad):"I am not a new thing among the Messengers (of Allah) (i.e. I am not the first Messenger) nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am but a plain warner."(Quran 46:9) 163. Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad) as We inspired Nuh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], 'Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Yunus (Jonah), Harun (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon), and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms). 164. And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, - and to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly. 165. Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.(Quran 4) People since the time of Adam, had one revelation or another from Allah, and the revelation was for guidance. Allah said(when Adam was expelled): We said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve. 3.Each nation had their ways according to what fitted their time For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow; so let them (pagans) not dispute with you on the matter , but invite them to your Lord. Verily! You (O Muhammad) indeed are on the (true) straight guidance. (Quran 22:67) At the time of Adam, it was sufficient that Allah had taught and he put in action and taught his children till he died. The Quran is one of what Allah sent for our time, when is from the time of His final messenger to the last man. Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad ) the Book (this Qur'an) for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his ownself, and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his (own) loss. And you (O Muhammad ) are not a Wakil (trustee or keeper) over them. (Quran 22:67) |
tintingz:If you don't believe in Allah, then there's no point talking about islam That's like trying to talk about how to save yourself from hellfire, when you don't believe in it in the first place. Or something more relatable, arguing about the right map to a treasure when you don't believe there's a treasure in the first place. If you're looking for the truth, start with your disbelief in the existence of God, even people that don't believe in islam will agree that there's a God, so anything before that won't yield anything. I must say I do find it strange that you'll say that, do you think the Jews & christains came from nowhere, with their history with the Prophets, not to mention the Arabs? The most likely explanation I can think of is you do not know their history, or you assume if forged, which will be sad if that's the case. I would leave you if this, if you'll ponder upon it. Surah Hajj 22:1-11 1. O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing. 2. The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah. 3. And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allah, without knowledge, and follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allah) Shaitan (devil) (devoid of each and every kind of good). 4. For him (the devil) it is decreed that whosoever follows him, he will mislead him, and will drive him to the torment of the Fire. [Tafsir At-Tabari] 5. O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily! We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh, some formed and some unformed (miscarriage), that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). 6. That is because Allah, He is the Truth, and it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who is Able to do all things. 7. And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it, and certainly, Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves. 8. And among men is he who disputes about Allah, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving light (from Allah), 9. Bending his neck in pride (far astray from the Path of Allah), and leading (others) too (far) astray from the Path of Allah. For him there is disgrace in this worldly life, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste the torment of burning (Fire). 10. That is because of what your hands have sent forth, and verily, Allah is not unjust to (His) slaves. 11. And among mankind is he who worships Allah as it were, upon the very edge (i.e. in doubt); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face (i.e. reverts back to disbelief after embracing Islam). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss. |
Antlislaam:Islam began since as early as the first creation, that is because Allah has always been, and He is the One besides whom none has the right to be worshipped. And He created the creation for that. Allah revealed: 83. Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned. (Surah Imran 2) 6. Say (O Muhammad ): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V.2:105). 7. Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. (Quran 41:6-7) 17. Verily, those who believe (in Allah and in His Messenger Muhammad ), and those who are Jews, and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Magians, and those who worship others besides Allah, truly, Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Verily! Allah is Witness over all things. 18. See you not that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and many of mankind? But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can honour him. Verily! Allah does what He wills. (Hajj 22:17-18). |
We find it hard to leave sins we know are wrong, one of the reasons is that we don't Feed our heart/mind the right source that'll compel us to desist from leaving them. When the heart is sick with desire for evil, the medicine is exposing it to fear and intimidation, as well as revealing to it the ugliness of the sin. When it understands, it leaves such evil and desires what's better for it. This is one of the benefits of seeking knowledge, they are many books to help, 1 I'll recommend is 'disturbers of the heart' by Ibn Jawzi, should be an easy find on google, rather than talk about the book, I highlight a few points gotten from it. And here's more explanations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vi0jb4wNV9Q of course nothing beats reading the book. Every breath we take is taking us closer to death. The time we spend in this world is short, the time we are held in our graves is long, and the punishment for following our lowly desires is calamitous. Allah made warnings to precede punishment. Majority of sinner rely on Mercy, Forgiveness & generosity overlooking His severe punishment. Falsely assumed the Mercy like tenderness, as they likened His Mercy to that of man, His creation. As for he who seeks forgiveness while still insisting on committing sins, then indeed, he is like a stubborn person ignoring all the warnings. Ma'rüf al-Karkhi said, 'Hoping to receive the Mercy of the One who you insist on being disobedient to, is a kind of betrayal and foolishness' Some of the wise have said: 'Allah ordained to cut the most honorable part of your body [i.e. hand] in this worldly life be- cause of theft equivalent of five carats, therefore a person should never feel safe from His Punishment in the Hereafter.' Further to the point, when knowing that the intercession of Ibrahim, the friend, for his father will be unaccepted and the request of the Messenger of Allah that Alläh forgives his mother is also unaccepted should make the regular person always in a constant state of worry and fear. It is better for you to accompany those who incite you with fearfulness [of Alläh and His Punishment] until you enjoy safety [I.e. in the Hereafter] than accompanylng those who assure you with safety but afterward [i.e. in the hereafter] what you fear [Punishment] would befall you. Some notable mentions: Those who enjoined good and forbade evil but practices contrary to them will be punished severely. 3 things that accompany one to his grave: His family, property and deeds, but only his deeds remain with him. A frequent dua of the Prophet: "0 over-turner of hearts, make my heart firm on your religion" The backbiters will be punished by scratching their faces and chests with nails of copper. The Angel Mika'il(keeper of hellfire) never laughed since hellfire was created. Of those who will go to hellfire, the most affluent person will be dipped in hell and as a result swear that he never enjoined anything in this dunya. The Messenger of Allah said: The example of you and me is like a group of people dreading the attack of their enemy so they send a man investigating the matter so the man noticed the enemy [approaching]. The book lists more with reference |
omoharry:What you read is a mix of truth and falsehood, and truth is mixed with falsehood so that the falsehood can be more deceiving You were closer to the truth when you said it's about doctrine, the shia have beliefs that take them out of Islam, and no one who truly believes in Allah and His Messengerﷺ will want to have anything to do with them. So be careful where you get your info from, if it is truth you seek. |
As salaamu alaykum Many people claim they love God, but yet they act contrary to it. We seem to understand the importance of love, as all can agree that those who love Him and are loved by Him, such people will not enter the fire. So I made a video (two of them) talking about love and how it works, it’s connection with purpose, the reality of those who truly posses it, and more. Part 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-BEXdJzeO8 Part 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZWdPMjQlTs |
I was talking with a brother who was trying to organize a class for sisters, and he was telling me how he was informed about sisters complaining about their husbands who are supposed to be learned men of islam(that's the circle I'm in), but yet they find weaknesses in their character. They also complained of how they tell them that this and that is haraam, and they only listen out of obedience and they don't know why they are haraam, they feel like all they hear is haraam. So it's like there's the general places of learning like the islamiyyah and known 'malams', who are not really teaching the people, they don't warned the people about pitfalls and water down the deen. The result is ignorance and people getting into all kinds of evil & wicked actions. Then there are the supposed one who learn and practice the religion, but all people hear from them is essentially everything is haraam, and they don't understand how they can live life staying away from the prohibitions. I was pondering over some knowledge, and I realized from it so many gems. How the reality of iman is love of Allah, and the real love is recognizing that the good things we seek, like honor, protection, all kinds of benefit, they all come from Allah. And when one realizes this, it's easy for him to obey Allah, do the commands and leave the prohibitions. But more than that, is that someone can find pleasure in worshipping Allah, or at least in the thing He has made permissible. This is the kind of knowledge so beneficial yet many Muslims will never hear about, because ignorance has spread. People don't know the very basics; Who Allah is, why we should worship Him, what is worship, what is islam, etc. Here's a quick example: Have you heard the those people that say they are not a slave, but they worship God? Well, slave and worship stem from the same word a-b-d. The action is usually translated as worship and the doer of the action as slave/worshipper, but people see it as different, out of ignorance. I actually differed with the brother on how to go about starting the class, so I thought, if it's the spread the knowledge, why don't I just find people interested in learning. So I want to create an outlet for people to learn the deen, or as I'll say, to learn the why. If you have comments or are interested, I'll like to hear them. |

Hoily:You can start small, with what you have, without even capital. Everyone already has something they can offer, if they think about it. AntiChristian:If you understand entrepreneurship/business, it not something hard The root of business is just solving a problem for people. I discussed more about both on this thread, check it out if interested: https://www.nairaland.com/7724143/how-make-money-doing-what |
Some people say their problem is they are trying to raise capital to start a business, looking for 100k, 500k, and no one to give them. Again, start from the very beginning, people give money to have their problem solved, if you can’t go big, start small, as small as solving a problem for one person. Let's say you want to buy and sell clothes, meet one person and be honest with him, tell him your situation and if he'll be willing to buy clothes from you even if it is just for you to go to the market/store and buy it for him, you save him the time and energy him to go and buy it by himself then you can get a small commission from that even if it's 1,000, 2,000. People want to help, and they are willing to if it won’t cost them too much. Don’t go and be begging and saying my child, no food, no amount is too small, people are tired of that, when they give, such people usually come back and ask for more, that’s creating a problem, not solving one. If you can afford to beg for 100 naira, you can afford to look for a small value you can offer to somebody for 1,000 naira, make sure it solves the person's problem. More examples: Instead of opening a restaurant, cook for just one person, some people buy from street vendors because there’s no choice, but if someone can make food that’s home cooked, cleaner, healthier and more delicious, and for the right price, they won’t mind patronizing. Many rich parents have children that are not doing well in school, if you can really help their child to excel in school, they can even pay you more than what many schools pays teachers. The university example I gave above, don’t go big, start with 1-3 people, even 1 is enough. Don’t know who to meet, go to rich homes and offer to clean or wash, don’t beg, if people find you solving their problems, they’ll be more open, that’s how you open your opportunities. If you’ve noticed me mentioning rich people, then you’re right, you want to tap into where the money is flowing, no point charging what people can’t afford. It’s not only them, it just increases your chances of getting paid good money, you can still do with average. The goal is to solve problems, be creative, look around you and observe, what problems people are having that you can solve, even in your immediate contact list are people you can help, and they’ll be willing to pay you. Provide QUALITY product/service. People say there is no money in the country, please don’t take it the wrong way, that’s how poor people think. It’s not an insult, it’s just a way of thinking that doesn’t serve you, just like thinking you’ll one day elect a politician that’ll save the country, rich people think differently. Jumia has laptops and ipads selling at over 1 million and people are buying, if people perceive value, they’ll pay, period. When you can solve a problem for 1 person, then you can solve the same problem for two people, three people, keep on adding, if one person will pay you 1,000 then 10 people will total 10,000, Do the maths, and before you know it, you can earn more the salary of the average civil servant, with less work and more value, do it well, and with time you can blow. Solving problem for people, that’s all business, yet someone will go to school for 20 years and will never hear something like this, who will tell him, if his teachers knew they won’t be teaching. I find it surprising people are still looking for certificates these day, believing it’s a sign of education, and if you don't have one, you are not a smart person or you can't find a job. I saw a research that professors(US,UK) with all their degrees and ‘titles’, are not anywhere near the richest people, like the gap was too much. I was once speaking to a girl who studied medicine and she told me that once she starts housemanship, she’ll be earning 140k per month. I chatted with a lady on nairaland, after learning kdp for like 6 months, she started earning N200k per month, 6 months vs 7 years. Over a year later, I don’t know what the doctor is learning, but the kdp girl’s income has almost quadripled. I don't know anybody that is going to pick up he's mathematics or chemistry notes from 5 years ago and solve a problem that he is currently facing but someone can learn programming, psychology, cooking, etc., and solve people's problem over and over again for a lifetime. Things are easy, it’s people that make it hard. Shikenan, I can’t shout louder than that. |
Two things to note: 1. Notice what’s common between them is that they all solve problems. 2. These are ideas i’ve seen come up with based on me and my journey, don’t see them as the only way, if you’re creative, you’ll find many opportunities. 3. They are things with little to no competition, that’s the advantage of being creative. Go to a school private universities, focus on a specific course or program e.g. medicine and then offer a program that simplifies their educational journey, you make graduating with good grades easier. I saw someone doing this, no competition I think, making 6 figures, in pounds (Cambridge). Teach a particular group of doctors maybe surgeons or dentists how to acquire more customers, all businesses need more customers. A rich man with big houses and space in it, offer to cultivate the land with crops or animals. In fact, agriculture is so lucrative you can just meet someone with money and sell him to invest in agriculture where you run the business for him, it can be as simple as raising layers. There are influences online people with a lot of audience but they don't sell anything to them, teach them or create a product for them that they can sell to their customers and then you'll be willing to pay you or get a commission for that which is what many influencers do. People have money and don’t know what to do with it, offer to start something small where they put you in charge; provision store, restaurant, etc. And so on, what is important is that you are creative and it is based on something that you are good at doing or is most suited to you and you enjoy doing it. Now you see some people saying their problem is capital, i'll like to say something about that. |
