They knew she was inside , she was even shouting , but according to neighbours they couldn't go save her because the guys were also shooting , in the video , she made attempt through the window , she was shot and she went back , she was rounded off , while the firing was burning....it was like a Nollywood movie to me...this kinda thing can still happen in Nigeria ??, Same people ??... I believe this is the beginning of the fight between them.

Husband of Mrs Salome Abuh, the Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ochadamu, Ofu LGA of Kogi State, who was allegedly killed and set ablaze in her home by suspected political thugs, Elder Simeon Abuh, has called for justice in the case.

The family, in a statement signed by the bereaved husband, noted that the brutal murder of Mrs Salome Abuh and the destruction of properties were premeditated.

The culprits, they said, were known to members of the community.

The statement read: “On Saturday, 16th of November 2019, at the Ochadamu Primary School Polling Unit, one, Someone in the company of other boys told me that he was going to deal with my younger brother, Gowon Abuh, who is a strong supporter of the PDP. That he and others were on the payroll of GYB 4+4.

“He further said that this election is for the APC and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. I politely told him that there was no need for this, that we are all brothers, we all drank the same flowing river, went to the same playing ground in the community and we shall still remain in the same community, politics notwithstanding.”

“After casting my ballot, I headed home, leaving my wife behind to watch the electoral process. After some time, my brother, Gowon ran back home to inform me that some people were beating my wife where she was sitting under a shade observing the process and when he (Gowon Abuh) and other people tried to intervene, they attempted to stab him and he had to run back home.

“As we were still talking, one Elder Samuel Salami Agbali brought my wife on his motorcycle to our compound and advised that we rush her to hospital. I took her to Holy Memorial Hospital, Ochadamu, where she was attended to by one Dr Agama.

“After the election, I returned to Abuja, where I reside, leaving her behind to rest for few days as advised by the doctor. I was constantly on phone with her.

“On Monday, 18th of November at about 12am my younger brother from Lokoja, Pastor Mark Abuh, called me that there was trouble at home. That thugs were in a drinking joint close to our house boasting on how they were going to deal with Gowon, our younger brother who narrowly escaped from their attack on Saturday.

“According to his report Solomon, Gowon’s son, overheard them boasting and pleaded with them on his father’s behalf to forget about the incident. At this point one of them, picked up a bottle and started pursuing Solomon, while pursuing Solomon, he tripped and fell on his own knife, which was stucked around his waist, and unfortunately injured himself on the thigh, while Solomon ran home to inform his father (Gowon Abuh) of what had ensued. Meanwhile, Zekeri Awalu was rushed to Holy Memorial Hospital at Ochadamu,” it added.

He explained that after the conversation with his brother, Pastor Mark Abuh, he immediately put a call home to Ojonugwa Alhassan, a cousin, who informed him that he was at the hospital where the injured person was being attended to.

According to him: “The hospital, after administering first aid treatment requested for a police report before further treatment. While the doctors were waiting for the police report, friends of the injured got agitated and moved him to another hospital where he lost his life.

“When the news of his death filtered into the town, angry APC supporters came to the town chanting GYB 4+4, and shooting sporadically. People scampered for safety and the APC supporters headed to my house where my wife was resting, unaware of what was happening in the community. The supporters surrounded my house, shooting sporadically and further set the house ablaze and burnt my wife to death and completely burnt down the entire buildings in my compound.

“Afterwards, the APC supporters headed to four other houses in the community, who are known PDP supporters and burnt down their houses.”

Earlier today, I paid a condolence visit to the family of the Late Mrs. Acheju Abu who was burnt alive in her house in Ochadamu, of Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi state. She was a sincere servant of our party and the masses.

I call on @PoliceNG to investigate and arrest the killers of the Late Achebu. May the good Lord comfort her family for her untimely departure.

Errr....no. Your country does not have to be a paradise beyond reproach to talk about another country. I talk about the failings of many places in Nigeria, yet my own state is not heaven. To say I shouldn't talk about terrorism and banditry and kidnapping and massive IDP camps etc elsewhere just because my own state is not paradise would be silly. It's a churlish, childish way to avoid the substance of the issue.
It also makes no sense in this case because an Israeli is critiquing the state of poor development in the country with an emphasis on the socio-economic state. In this context, talking about Israel's conflict with Palestinians is irrelevant. If Israel were a poor, wretched country, your criticism might have a modicum of sense, but it has no relevance to what is being discussed here.



"Stealing land" has nothing to do with prosperity. Stop being stewpid. Land is just land, until you add value to it. And Israel's land is not particularly endowed. They added value to their land with their ingenuity and industry. They are the envy of the world. Your own deep-seethed envy is showing with the trash you're typing here.
And no, they're not slaughtering millions of anybody. They fought a number of conflicts for their survival against hostile Arab neighbors and won all of them. Winners set the terms of surrender and reconciliation. Losers abide by it. I have compassion for the plight of Palestinians but they're dreaming if they think they'll ever get favorable terms of independent statehood, or if they think they'll ever get all of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as their property.



Israel gets $3.8 billion a year in aid from the US for its defense industry. That's big money, but barely 1% of its nearly $400 billion GDP. They collaborate with the US in technology. It's not charity "technology transfer". Israel contributes more than any other nation to the US tech sector. They have no "easy access" to Western markets. They are competitive in high-tech, high-value products which other markets desire. African countries aren't denied anything. We just don't have anything of value to sell beyond base commodities low on the value chain. Huge American corporations buy Israeli tech start-ups for billions of dollars because it's good business they intend to profit from, not because of philanthropy.
And yes, they built a first world nation out of nothing but sand. Your jealousy doesn't change facts. Israeli Jews are on a different planet in productivity and enterprise and innovation from the whole African continent combined. You could pick out more geniuses from 1 million Jews than 1 billion Africans. Deal with it.



Highly delusional claptrap. Those "only 8 million people" have produced 9 Nobel prize winners (I didn't include Peace prize winners). The whole African continent (1.2 billion people )has produced just 2 indigenous African laureates: Ahmed Zewail (for Chemistry) and Soyinka. If you gave Nigeria $3.8 billion in aid a year, it would just enrich the pockets of kleptocrats who'd build estates in London, Dubai, Zurich, The Bahamas etc. Waste, incompetence and corruption is in our blood. Money given to Israel is an investment. America's defense industry has reaped massively from Israel's inventions and modifications of American tech. Money given to Nigeria is money thrown into the garbage.



Plenty of small African countries are unproductive shiitholes. Nigeria's problems have little to do with a lack of homogeneity. Jews arrived Israel from far-flung corners of the globe with ethnic tensions between Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews. An Igbo and Yoruba man probably had a lot more in common than a Soviet and Moroccan Jew settling in Israel would have had. They had to revive Hebrew, a nearly extinct language to find a means of communication. You can keep blaming "greedy" white men for all your problems. Fact is they've created successful countries in Europe and prospered even when they left Europe for the Americas, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa etc. Keep wallowing in the past in your deep, jealous resentment and don't move on, ehn?
