It was a sad and stressfull day for both drivers and commuters in the ever busy 1st circular road, here in Benin city, where men of the Edostate task force stormed the park in their numbers, which resulted to shooting into the air and teargas sprayed all over the premises, as drivers protests against, some members of the said task force, one of our correspondence enquired and it was allerged that some of the task force personnel called biggy and omonigho, who were members of the disbanded union Nurtw and reteans collectively combined together asserting that illegal collection is been collected from the drivers, but the drivers in their numbers deneid the allegations, and said omonigho not satisfied with is present work, because of is mischievous character when he a chairman, and want to forcefully take over the park, with the help is newly found job " task force" the place became rowdy when the show of force started brewing, when the men of the Edostate task force, dragging and beating up drivers forcefully, with the use of gun's and teargas, arrest members of the park, destroyed the vehicle tyres, plate numbers removed, townning vans taking their vehicle away, like the days of military era, some drivers were hospitalized in erowa hospital, and their co ordinator beating to pop and taking away to unknown destination, all we seek as a people is Justice and peace, we call on the Edostate government to quickly call and investigate this act of injustice melted on law abiding citizen of Edostate

On 9th of January, on the busy dawson-akpakpava road, here in Benin city, driver trooping out in their number, chanting songs of solidarity, marching down to Bee tv media house, to express the frustration on their choice of leadership, according to story gathering, it's said that the park union brought leader to rule over them, who basically are not drivers to leader them, according to some story shared, they said, that in every profession, it is the right of the people to decide who lead them, for the sake fo accountability, peace, fairness, justice and equity, they also carried playcard, which was inscripted, na driver I be no be oil worker, driver have a say in union work, say no to imposition of leadership, and many more, they collectively agreed that no driver is against any union, and that all the benefits and dues of the union will be well paid as acured,but leadership role should be ceded to them, they call out to the governor, his Excellency, senator Monday okepbholo, should please intervain, as their cries, is not an impossible task,
Another driver said the reasons for this call is due to experience of period leadership mistakes and would not like a repeatation of some past event,
They thank the media house, Bee tv for showing concern, in promoting peace and good welfare for drivers and commuters
