sends it, clears it, registers it and then has to convert

If u dont hav money for the conversion den dont buy RHD,is anybody stopping u from buying a left hand drive car?
You people just like suffering urselves wit dis conversion thing and thereby spending xtra money which is supposed to be saved for other needs...

Well as you say, it will be nice for Nigeria to have a central data base for such issues but they should not you it as an excuse to fleece Nigerian of their hard earned money.

There is this disturbing matter, i learnt that if you have a car that has been registered in Lagos (Autoreg) and you reside in another state, you have been updating your yearly car papers in the state you reside (other than Lagos). I was told that if you happen to go back to Lagos and renew the car papers, you will have to repay those years that you did the renewal in another state before they renew your car papers.

Let me put it another way,
I bought and registered a car in Lagos in 2007.
the car was used and papers renewed yearly in, say, Rivers state, from 2007 to 2010. (3 yrs)
say i relocated to Lagos in 2011 and the car papers renewal are due, but i was told at the Lagos Licensing office that i will have to pay for the three previous years i did the registration outside Lagos before a the renewal is done.

Can some one confirm if this is true?

The same issue am having wit my camry 1999,the speedometer doesn't work in d sun,but once i put on d ac for about 5mins d speedometer comes on. But it works well at night wen d weather is cold. Someone suggested dat i change d whole speedometer board. Pls does anybody hav an idea wat d problem may be and possible solution to it?

I hope u can get a copy of d expired license, d licence id on it is needed to download ur info on d database, and d copy to be attached on d form. if u cant get a copy, u will ve to apply for a fresh one

If the oil is over gauged,den leak some of it away and see wat happens. It happened to me once wen i over gauged d oil level,i leaked some of it and den d oil warning light just disappeared.. Just try it. If it doesnt work,tell ur mechanic to loose ur sump and check d oil pan or wat ever its called and see if d net is blocked wit oil sludge.. Thank me later..

Honda has numerous substandard parts unlike toyota and others.. The fake ones are cheap and everywhere while the originals are expensive for some to afford it for their vehicles. I hav a friend who uses babyboy,he buys his original ball joint for 7k. And he said d common type is sold for 2k. So u see,not everybody would want to pay 7k just for a ball joint..

Op, when I learnt how to drive nobody thought me. I just downloaded a YouTube video on how to drive a manual car, after watching the video the next day I picked my mom's car key and off I go driving to the best of my knowledge.
Then every9t, I practice it in my dreams. The more I practice it in my dreams the more I learn how to drive.


That was how I started and now I'm an expert in driving without going to any driving school and without anybody teaching me. Uptill date my mom still thinks that I went somewhere and learnt how to drive then came back and started using her car to practice what I learnt.

I know some peepz wouldn't actually believe this but all I have to tell you is that if you have the mind and heart and very determined to learn how to drive, you will learn it without anyone's help. All you need to know is to learn how the gear operates with the clutch and you are good to go.

I swear that was how i learnt mine,but i practiced wit a friend's car den..
