Can some one point out where he said that in the passage ? It can be interpreted that he wants more slots for European countries just like more slotted have been allocated to African and South American continents but sensationalism sells
Why should europe have more slots, they have 16 direct slots !!!. There are only how many european countries ? 54 countries.

Africa has 54 countries, so he thinks 9 countries is too much, afterall they used to have 2 or 3 countries at the world cup. someone may politely call you a monkey and you will be smiling sheepishly.

UEFA who is in charge of qualification can change the qualification tactics to have less group, more first and second qualifying.

With the score at 1-1 in the 11th minute of added time, Victor Osimhen, found himself alone, facing the goalkeeper, with the ball at his feet for a 2-1 lead and qualification just a minute before the final whistle.

But the Galatasaray striker missed this unmissable chance! Unbelievable!

SportsRe: Nigeria To Face DR Congo In Play-off Final For 2026 World Cup by emiye(m): 12:44am On Nov 15, 2025
sulaak:
If Nigeria beats DR Congo, they will be the highest-ranked team in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Play-Off and will only have to play against one of the four lowest-ranked teams in the 2026 Play-Off.

If Nigeria qualifies, the country will be well prepared for the FIFA final.

The FIFA World Cup 26™ Play-Off Tournament will see six sides fight it out for the final two places at the FIFA World Cup 26™ in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

It will involve two teams from Concacaf and one team apiece from the AFC, CAF, CONMEBOL and OFC, and will take place in March 2026 during the the international fixture window which runs from 23 - 31 March.

From the six teams who qualify, the four lowest-ranked nations in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will meet in bracket semi-finals. The two highest-ranked teams will go directly into the finals. The winners of the two bracket finals will reach the FIFA World Cup 26.
It may not be highest ranked, if Panama qualifies for playoff, as the country is currently ranked 31 by FIFA?, BUT I SUSPECT we will be one of the top two highest ranked if we win against DRC.

Ok good, i dont want to google. Let me list the ones i watched Yekini scored not dem say dem say.
Qualifiers to US 94 world cup. Yekini scored against the likes of Algeria, Ivory Coast and South Africa. In the Tunisia 94 nations cup that we won. Yekini scored against Egypt in the first match that ended 2-2. Scored against Gabon in the second match. Scored 2 against Zaire now DR Congo in the quarter final, scored against Ivory Coast in the semi final.
.
In the Senegal 92 nations cup, he scored against the likes of Senegal, Cameroun. Won the highest goalscorer at both Nations cup of 92 and 94.
To add more to Yekini's goalscoring. 50% of his goals came in tournament proper and not qualifiers or friendlies. Osimhen only has one tournament goals which came in last nations cup, so deal with this ones first.
Let me remind you i didnt google o. It"s off hand i gave you so.
There is no where it is written that goals scored in qualifiers is less weighted than tourney goals. Osimhen 3 goals against Benin republic in a must win 4-0 game is more important than a dead rubber tourney goal. Osimhen is 26 yrs, the same stage Rashidi was in 1989 as well. Osimhen will have more nations cup and world cup to play along the line. I probably watched more Yekini goals at the period it was scored than you, if you can only start from 1994. All things being equal, he will surely surpass Yekini's record as he is primed to do that and looks set for greater glory . What was the big deal about Zaire in the 90's or Gabon, or even south Africa or Kenya . Osimhen is even playing amongst a weaker team in my opinion than Yekini had.

Kalulu44:
Don't forget out of Osimhen's 31 goals for Nigeria, 7 was against Sao Tome and Principe.
And when will Osimhen score against the likes of Ghana, Senegal, Cameroun, Ivory coast and co. If not Lesotho, Rwanda, Benin, Sao Tome and co
you have failed to give us a breakdown of all Yekini's goals. or we should just trust you that they were all scored against Senegal, Cameron, Ivory coast, Ghana because that is how you feel? i can tell you Yekini got goals from weak teams of that period as well, kenya, congo brazaville, Ethiopia, Sudan, Zaire, Gabon, South Africa(was a weak team immediately post apartheid), Georgia e.t.c

Osimhen has played way less matches though, 37 goals in 62 games, vs 31 goals in 44 games.

People exaggerate nostalgia a lot !

Doesn't change the fact that Lieutenant Ahmed Yerima was on his right for acting on orders from his superiors.

Armed Forces Act, Cap A20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004:

1. Section 56 – Disobedience to lawful orders

“A person subject to service law who disobeys a lawful command given personally by his superior officer is guilty of an offence and liable, on conviction by a court-martial, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or any less punishment provided by this Act.”

N.B : Don't misinterpret the clause "lawful orders". The context is ambiguous in this very case.

Lawyers with the understanding of Martial Law, over to you.
Then Babaginda can give order to military men then, the way some of you twist logic on its head makes it shudder if it is not a case of severe malnutrition as a kid with impaired neuron generation.

I bet you can't prove any land grabbing beyond the rhetorics you read somewhere. How people can so shut their mind to logic and superior thinking surprises me. One day , a soldier will take over your family land on the instruction of RETIRED military officer. How can a serving military be taking instruction from a retired officer?? Are we so blind and deaf? The same dingbat that people were praising was so condescending to the police officer. The same behaviour they exhibit when they whip civilians and ask they drink gutter water afterall they are "bloody civilians" . Look past the hatred and call it for what it is.

Nigeria fuel price don dey like forex trading....e no dey ever dey stable.
It should not, it will typically keep changing due to several factors, but largely cost of barrel of crude oil, and naira exchange rate to USD. Those 2 are the biggest factors, that is what deregulation of price means with technical complete removal of subsidy. The micro subsidy may be that Nigeria sells crude oil to Dangote in Naira, and he correspondingly sells to Nigerian market in Naira as well.

Your states are by no means rich.
Lagos budget is 2.2 billion dollars...which is not enough for a city its size.(For comparison, a hospital in Kansas paid 1billion dollars for an expansion of its facilites. Harvard budget is 6 billion dollars for one year).

Nigeria is not rich...revenue from 1.5 m bpd is not going to be enough for even one state to live like in saner climes.

That is why APC Is useless.
It is not an APC problem solely, it is Nigerian administrators problem. we are not forward thinking, greedy and mentally lazy when it comes to generating income. Discounting what is massively stolen, we have to prioritize income generation at a geometrical progression, steal less and ensure wealth spread to the populace way better than it is now.

US hegemony sees what many dunceeees in Nigeria do not see, they are afraid of an independent Nigeria that is not necessarily reliant on them and only exporting raw materials. They are trying to do what they typically do in such countries . They do not have a single success story of invading any country to make it better. 1. This is why I have a major problem with small-minded individuals. Your private anxiety do not impact the lives of others or their relationships. OP explained in his write-up that he has no problem with his wife communicating with her ex. Yet here you are adamantly making an issue of her remaining in communication with the ex. Why? Because you want to make sure he has the same hangups over a potential nonsense simply because you do? undecided

He mentioned that the problem he has is with in-laws — he is not married to them but is rather an in-law to them by marriage— yet you are dead set on pinning their actions on his wife, probably because you cannot stand the idea of her having freedoms in marriage. Why? undecided

2. OP never said the celebration and gift-giving happened in his home and space. From his write-up, it more than likely happened in the home that belonged to his in-laws. If they had celebrated in his home, then he would be within his rights to push them out and restrict their coming to his home after that. undecided
You are so full of BS. Celebration have to happen in the marital home for it to impact their phantom "marriage space". What if it happened in a public bus? grin grin.

It is like a town and i have been there during my service year. As at then, I always knew the North was sitting on a keg of gun powder. The sky high poverty and "illiteracy" combo now sprinkled with toxic Islamic education was going to light off the bomb pretty soon. I clearly knew. When they are accused of illiteracy, they are quick to point out koranic education to no where as why they are not illiterates. An education highly loaded on Shariah BS from the 18th century in the 21st century is a recipe for disaster.

The Core North failed to adequately educate its own with western education, they cut the wings of many female offsprings by making many unseen and uneducated. They loaded many with poverty and toxic religious education and wondering why they are suffering islamic fundamentalism. How can some people be so stupeeeeed to think they will continually be shielded from the tree of destruction that they planted?
FamilyRe: My Wife's Married Ex Keeps Sending Money To My Inlaws. S by emiye(m): 7:16pm On Oct 30, 2025
Kobojunkie:
You and I know that that is to be regarded on a case-by-case basis. For instance, a wife/husband who does not bother herself with her in-laws or what they think and focuses instead on the marriage would likely not be bothered by what the in-laws think or do in their space, so long as it does not encroach on the marriage space. So, as long as the marriage space remains isolated from the in-law issues, the marriage wouldn't be directly impacted. undecided

2. Are you sure you are OK? huh

If the man is sending money to his ex-in-laws, do you not see in that case that it is the marital communal property that would be used in that situation, leading to a clear breach in the marriage space? huh
Marriage space indeed ! You are churning BS in torrents. Wife still in constant talking terms with Ex that failed to marry her and in laws collecting gift in proxy and over the moon with such greek gift to the point of celebrating in the presence of son in law are not in the phantom "marriage space".

The one sending money to an ex is not OP's wife. And he mentioned nowhere in his post that his marriage is directly impacted by all of this. Why do you see fit to compare it to a marriage directly impacted by the giving? Why are you desperate to find something wrong where OP himself has only revealed that it is his feelings that have been hurt by his in-laws, not by his wife? undecided
Issues with Inlaws have no impact on marriage ? wow, thanks for letting me know.
I am only asking you if you will keep the same energy, if the wife's "feelings" was hurt that Husbands was sending money to his ex inlaws?

Switch it , and assume it is the wife that came to complain on Nairaland that her husband is sending money to his ex inlaws , are you keeping the same energy? Or you only support everything as long it is feminine centric?

She is going to get smarter and you won't catch her again for a very long time, by which time you are already 6 ft under from 'natural causes' aka smart positioning.
