temitope06: Spoke with a couple of people, two well known agents as well and they said my result is very ok to carry on, LRSW 9,8,7,6.5 now I'm confused. With ur result, is it that canada won't accept it cos it's a good score if u ask me. Wasting 52k every time is tiring abeg. I don't even have the cash. There has to be a way to do something with this result, what u think? No doubt , the result is good and meets the requirement, but not meeting a CLB 9 benchmark reduces the competitiveness, and makes you lose close to 60 points. A CLB 9 is LRSW 8777. Except you are looking at Provincial nomination, it is close to impossible to get ITA without meeting a CLB 9 in IELTS. |

debeams: But if it works out, you will have your 15k back plus you don't ve to go through the rigor of rewriting and aiming for a high score in all, all over again. I'm equally in your shoe, my results from 4th June was 8.5,8.5, 7, 6.5 - LRSW and I immediately returned it for EOR. I know it's a risk but since it's writing I choose to believe God & be optimistic. Btw that was my 3rd attempt with my last result being 6.5,7,7,7.5 - LRWS. So you and mind you the cash ain't even @ my disposal. So I understand your stance but I think the risk is worth it. I don't normally put me out there but just thought I might encourage you with this. So make your pick on what it shall be. hmmm, good advice. My situation is similar to yours, infact we took d exam d same day. My LRSW 8 8.5 7.5 6.5. I applied for a remark on june 20, i have my fingers crossed as i await a positive news. I must confess i am taking d risk because it is my second attempt, and i have got comparative weakness with listening where i need a minimum of 8. I cant afford to take another exam without bringiing closure to this one, There is no guarantee i will score an 8 or more in my 3rd attempt for listening. Also, i scored a 7 in writing in my first attempt. LRSW 7.5 7.5 7.5 7 |

A guy asks u out, and u want to go with ur entire kindred just to see if he will impress u, does that sound normal Beside since the money was "just 3k", why is she complaining. While u are busy thinking he needs to impress u, u forget that u also need to impress him . Bringing all ur gal frnds along for a date with a guy, says a lot about u as a lady!!!!! The part in bold is what many girls curiously fail to understand. That a guy shows interest in you to invite you on a date does not mean he is not eager to see your good qualities beyond physical. |

Nigeria’s 2016 Budget is based on a crude oil benchmark price of $38 per barrel and a production estimate of 2.2 million barrels per day for 2016. See the full breakdown below GDP Growth Rate Projection 4.37% Revenue Projection 3.86 Naira Deficit 2.22 trillion Naira (equivalent to 2.16% of Nigeria’s GDP) Oil Related Revenues 820 billion Naira Non-oil Revenues 1.45 trillion Naira Projected Independent Revenues 1.51 trillion Naira Capital Expenditure 1.8 trillion Naira (30% of total budget) Works, Power and Housing 433.4 billion Naira Transport 202.0 billion Naira Interior 53.1 billion Naira Special Intervention Programs 300 billion Naira Education 369.6 billion Naira Defence 294.5 billion Naira Health 221.7 billion Naira Ministry of Interior 145.3 billion Naira Foreign and Domestic Debt Service 1.36 trillion Naira Sinking Fund towards the retirement of maturing loans 113 billion Naira Non-debt Recurrent Expenditure 2.65 trillion Naira
Deficit will be financed by a combination of domestic borrowing of N984 billion, and foreign borrowing of N900 billion totalling N1.84 trillion. There is a proposed a 9% reduction in non-debt recurrent expenditure, from N2.59 trillion in the 2015 Budget to N2.35 trillion in 2016. The budgeted N300 billion for Special Intervention Programs, takes the total amount for non-debt recurrent expenditure to N2.65 trillion. Youare living in the past. Joel3: ... Scam Alert: FG Promise of 500,000 teachers job at N23,000 a month ( Red Flag)
The country is thrown into commotion as gullible youth running here and there for e- registration. the Federal Government promised another frivolous N-Power which claimed 500,000 jobs at N23,000 a month? Parent from different part of the country calling their children to go and register... I feel so bittered by this open fraud and couldn't help but come here to vent my feelings.
Before I start let me do the maths.
N23,000 X 500,000 = N11,500,000,000 Per Month (Red Flag)
N11,500,000,000 X 12 = N133,000,000,000 Per Year (Red Flag)
N133,000,000,000 X 2 = N276,000,000,000 Two Years. (Red Flag)
Where will the federal government get all this money from? Now that the oil price has fallen and the continues attack on oil installation by Niger Delta Avengers.? Many state have not paid 6 months workers salary with low or no allocation from federal government. This NPower scheme didn't reflect in the national budget. some body should help me with where is this money coming from ?

If you cheated on her, and she on that basis opt to leave, it is understandable, but if not, do not ever try to talk a lady back in to a relationship. |

Know2020: This country is finished!
Let me see the twit that will invoke GEJ. GEJ left office with naira to dollar at 210 and today it's 313. WTF? GEJ inherited naira to dollar from Yaradua at 165, it stayed at this rate +/-15 for 4 yrs, it was only towards the end of 2014 that we began to see fall in naira largely caused by those who are bent on sabotaging his achievements to make sure he doesn't get re-elected. Compare dollar to naira lost in value under GEJ from 165 to 210 within 4-5 yrs span...that's very reasonable. However under Buhari from 210-313 in barely 6 months? This is disastrous...an invitation to anarchy. Same goes for fuel scarcity, there was never a fuel scarcity under GEJ except for his last few months in office, again largely perpetrated by the same very savages who are bent on making sure he never got re-elected.
You noticed how yorubas are quiet all of a sudden? Because their sister Kemi Adeosun is at the helm of the finance. Had this drastic dollar free fall happened under Iweala? Oh lord...they will be calling for her head not even resignation. They are already making excuses for Fashola to downplay the expectations on him...see 3rd topic now on front page. Hypocrites! Your analysis is fraudulent, The drop in oil price started from July 2014 from his peak of 117usd/b to 110 , 90, 80, 70, and 65 around december2014, there was so much pressure on the forex due to the drop in oil price, Naira was devaluated officicially from 159 to 198 /usd, it was over 220 at the parallel/black market. Why do you wailing zombies love to lie, and bury your heads in sand like a messed up ostrich.? The pressure on naira that has led to his current value is 99% directly due to the continuos fall in oil price, price is now 28usd/barrel. If we were under GEJ may be dollar would be 450 naira by now. Get lost with your blind loyalty. Nigerians took a wise decision on March 28, 2015. It is either you are dumb , ignorant or gullible. |

Politics › Re: Accept Electricity Tariff Hike As Painful Pill – Fashola by emiye(m): 10:06pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
FabioPeter: 70% of electricity users on the grid DO NOT pay at all, it cost less than 1000naira to bypass your electricity meter, yes of course rarely any consequence other than you enjoy free electricity for years to come. Now 30% pay their electricity bills, sometimes they run out of units and look out at the neighbours who do not pay at all enjoying power supply( they probably plead with them to o help charge their phones). Same 30% change all bulbs to energy saving bulbs and turn off light not in use yet watch their neighbours leave the bulb permanently switched on. Fashola is fully aware of this ratio and even expressed his frustration. What baffles me is the decision to increase the burden of the unwise 30% who pay their bills. What he demands is that 30% should pay the bill of 100%. This is indeed very silly. I need some common sense hence forth. Reason why pre-paid meters should be made compulsory, they should distribute it to eveyone, and the associated costs for payment be deducted through recharge mode over span of years. The 70% that you claim do not pay, actually pay unofficially to some officials pockets. What the discos need to do afterwards is to throw out monitoring officers accompanied by law enforcement officers to arrest those who bypass the system. |
Politics › Re: Accept Electricity Tariff Hike As Painful Pill – Fashola by emiye(m): 10:01pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
lastpage: Prepaid Meter is just one aspect of it! I understand those who dont have it, are cheated the most and in an even lower pecking order.
I have been using pre-Paid Meter for over 5yrs now! But l have seen the cost/Tariff/price of a unit of electricity JERKED UP every time..... even though the Power Supply is annoyingly epileptic (imagine having to off-and-on the Generator four times within a single midnight hours? (Loss of Sleep!).
They said they have abolished "Fixed Charge" but l still bought credit yesterday and that fixed charge was still taken out of my money. And as of today, the amount of electricity-units l get from the 7K worth l buy monthly, is even less, compared to before.
When will people like Mr. Raji Fashola understand that "throwing more money at a problem", is NOT ALWAYS the solution? We are all in this country when some of these "wicked elites" told us that for Petrol to be available, we should be willing to pay #200/Litre! But TODAY, petrol attendants BEG US to come and buy Fuel at their stations ....(l was joking with one today, l said: You people have suddenly become "so nice to us, your customers"? he smiled and said: Its the Government. ) .... yet the price is just #86.50, despite the removal of subsidy! What we are paying (for these essential utilities) is definitely not a true reflection of the production cost ....but a reflection of what some GREEDY ROGUES, who have cornered these Public Service utilities for themselves, want us to pay, for their own benefit Prepaid meter for EVERYONE is the number 1 issue in my opinion. The Discos are making so much money courtesy of the inefficiency of estimated billing, that improvement in service/ power supply is not big concern to them, i have a strong belief that with prepaid meters for every subscribers and at the rate of the new tarriff, they will rake in lesser revenue, and it is no brainer they will have no choice to improve service. Also, with prepaid meters, wasteful Nigerians will conserve power supply in their homes, meaning conserved supply can be distributed to other homes. We should not crucify Fashola, the MYTO(multi year tarriff order) was not his doing, it was an agreement of the previous regime, and this is not the first time tarriff will be increased over the last 5 years. he has also promised that tarriff will start reducing again in the next 2 years. |
Politics › Re: Accept Electricity Tariff Hike As Painful Pill – Fashola by emiye(m): 9:26pm On Feb 08, 2016 |
The prepaid meters is what i am canvassing for, deploying prepaid meters is not rocket science. Why should customers pay for meters, and it should take months before it is fixed or supplied? Is prepaid meter now rocket technology? Lots of Nigerians screaming hike in tarriff should understand that the real issue is the fraudulent estimated billing , not the tarriff. I am all for efficiency before effectiveness. Once everyone pays for the actual unit they consume, then no qualms, with prepaid meter, i can decide not to use discos power supply for the whole month, but my petrol generator, and no bill is paid. shikenan |
