Ruthia: Is it wrong for a lady to marry a man 10 years older than her? If yes or no please explain.
You'd better say yes to that man now b4 it's too late. Don't u know u women don't 've options these days unlike in d 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's. My dad who married in d early 70's is 16yrs older than my pretty mum and they adore each other. He is 76 while my mum is 60. So, nothing is absolutely wrong abt dat.

mouxman: Hello great scholars, as we are all aware or for those are not, be informed that the final list of scholars is ready. The issue is not about finance, in July it was but with the enate having passed the NDDC budget finance is the least problem. It is very crystal clear that the mamagement of the NDDC is the one that has decided to constitute themselves into a stumbling block. If not they can make the MD aware that time is running out.
Great people, if the list does not get released this week, forget about the scholarship and expect an "officiai" statement.
We need to bring this to the notice of the general public, but how? This is may be the last window of oppurtunity we have. Let's take decisive action.

May the good lord bless us all.
the senate has done her part in passing early enof, but d problem faced by most govt parastals is that funds have not been released by auntie Ngozi to them and nddc is not left out. Check their news section and u will read where one of d directors pleaded wt d FG to release fund to them to execute their healthcare projects. Sadly, my university wrote me that Friday 12th is d deadline date for issuing CAS letters to Nigerian applicants. Can there still be a miracle? Only God knows.
Family / Re: Who Comes For "Omugo" First? The Husband Or Wife's Mum? by EMMABC1(m): 10:40pm On Sep 07, 2014
yuzjet: If common sense do exists between the two mothers, they should be able to choose between themselves.

But with African/Nigerian mentality, common sense might be hard to be used in this scenario. Its both mothers responsibilities though.

Btw, I first thought "omugo" (Silly Person) is what OP was referring to. To a lame man, omugo could also means eniti o go in Yoruba i.e. A Silly Person. grin

Or did I got it wrong?
Now let me correct both u and d Op. It is 'Omugwo' ( exclusively Igbo ) and NOT 'Omugo' unless d op meant another thing in another language.

the screening certificate is valid 4 six months. So u can still use it in January that is, if u get d scholarshp but 've ur admission deferred 4 january. Another reason to do it now is that it will save u time n stress especially when ur study commencement date is around d corner. In summary, it's a risk worth taking if u believe u 'll make it.

Attorney1Lawz:

Hi Scholars,
Got my draft letter set for my Reps at the National Assemble, I sending that in by friday max - cos 99% of WISDOM les in acting ONTIME.

As for those who choose to attack persons it shows u lack substance - the issues u wont raise -others have chosen to raise and do sth it . Make no mistake about it that anyone is going to relent on taking this to the media. This would definitely happen with take place certainlythe corporation of a whole lot of significant majority come to realization.

Go tell ur NDDC peeps who were no where when the hustle and draft for this institution called NDDC was being INSTIGATED are now acting GOD, that there is a clear resolve as to addressing their incompetence - even if they fix everyone name on scholarship list.

The sanctity of the process must be addressed and this we would achieve. And please can we always do some reading, it never hurts, telling us persons , adventurous meetings or frivolous outings is only good enough for your autobiography .neither does informing peeps about - how u co-ordinate calls and keep prophesying that a list is eminent in June- move to July , then end of August and now September shows where the real source of confusion emanates from

You got to be serious with life for once and understand that some got real value for time and dont work with hearsay's even if we applicants to a right that should benefit us all.

I WOULD KINDLY IMPLORE THOSE OF US WHO REASON ALONG THE LINE OF PRO ACTIVENESS TO IGNORE thOSE who belong to the "why should u protest if ur name isnt on the list" school of thoughts - are we Spirits to decipher such in the first place.?

LETS KEEP REACHING OUT ESPECIALLY TO THE LEGISLATIVE ARM AND THE MEDIA - thats where our greatest support hinges on.

Thanks fellow scholars !!!
nd GOD BLESS
Great!

On a second tot, I decided not see u both in Abuja for a reasn and I don't 've any regret. Anyway I don't give a hood what u think or spew here. I hope I 've given a useful advice to a reasonable n responsible persn including Rajrascal.

rajrascal: Attorney,if you are campaigning for more transparency in the whole NDDC scholarship process, then you may have a leg to stand on. You can write an open letter to a media house and if they see reason with you, they may publish it. You may even write the letter on Nairaland and hopefully it makes frontpage. But if you want to use this delay as a leverage my brother na there you miss road o!. Honourable members of this forum have reached out and are still reaching out to NDDC officials and what they keep saying is that the list is being delayed because of funding issues. Do you think the funding issue is not known to the senate members you want to “report” them to?

Out of the blues you have come forth with this your war chant, and i say you are a usurper and interloper. You come with many words but few reasoning, maybe seeking to bamboozle weak minds, but you know right from the get-go I spotted your motive. This guy has a personal agenda and I stand to be corrected, he wants to co-opt as many as possible into his army and down the line his true motive will be revealed.

We have called for a little more patience,he is agitating for quick action, some folks have been here right from the test, interview and waiting stages. Where have you been? If you have an axe to grind with NDDC please seek another platform. Maybe you didn’t even scale the test stage or had a horrible interview, why do we trust someone we aren’t sure has a stake in this thing. Please Mr Attorney, who are you?

Do you need a crowd to start this your revolution?.if you believe strongly that you are on track please go ahead alone.I am not ashamed to say i am waiting for my name to be on the list, this shows that you have never been part of us, because that’s what we all are waiting for, praying for and that’s what has kept us united as a family. I won’t be here if I know my name isn’t on that list, i would have moved on.#webelieve#
cowardice, self-defeat and self-disbelief, unecessary fear and 'this is naija' attitude all sum up both ur mentality and Cismms'. Would d Russian scholars have gotten reprive if not 4 d doggedness and bravery of certain Nigerians. Be d change that u want. It all begins wt u. Stop discouraging others if u don't ve d liver.

If u are in PH pls I suggest u go to any popular local newspaper house e.g Tide or phone into to any radio programme to register our grievances n displeasure. They 'll welcome u cos they look 4 such stories to sell dia papers. I did that b4 in my state n it workd perfectly well. 2moro I 'll be visiting sm national dailies media house here in Abuja to see if I can make a breakthrough. whizkidy: Hi everyone. I am currently a student at the university of Glasgow. Recently I met a girl who got the nddc scholarship in 2012. The girl resumed September 2013 and finished this month. According to her, the list was released late in 2012 around October or November so she had to resume the next academic session. What I am trying to say in essence is that you guys should just chill and redeem the time by concentrating on other things. For those who have universities in the UK offering their courses in the January admission window, think it will be good to apply as a back up. Good luck to everyone.
that's a fat lie. The 2012 list was released second wk of september.

Religion / Police Nab Cherum And Seraphim Pastor Segun Alawode For ra-ping Woman In Church by EMMABC1(m): 1:57pm On Aug 21, 2014
ABEOKUTA — The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Pastor Segun Alawode, 37, of Eternal Sacred Order C & S Church Sabo, Odogbolu, Ogun State, for ra-ping a 32-year-old lady in his church premises.
The victim alleged that the pastor was in a prayer session with her when he asked her (victim) to hold on to some candle stick and suddenly and forcefully pulled off her wears before he eventually had carnal knowledge of her in the church.

The anti-crime team attached to Odogbolu Division of Ogun State Command apprehended him when the victim and her relations stormed the Police Division to notify the Divisional Police Officer of the pastor’s misdeeds and to seek justice through the police.

According to the state’s police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, “the matter is currently at the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the Department of Criminal Investigation, Abeokuta and medical reports so far received on the matter confirmed that the pastor actually committed the offence and hec has confessed to the crime. The matter will soon be charged to court.”

In another development, the mobile anti crime patrol team deployed to the Lagos/Ibadan expressway arrested two suspected robbers at Danco filling station along the expressway on Monday at about 11.40 pm while blocking the expressway in an attempt to rob commuters and road users of their belongings.

The suspects arrested are Usman Sunday, 28, of Sabo Dantajira area of Sagamu and Richard Olabode, 27, of the same address.

Usman, who hails from Apa Local Government Area in Benue State, is married with two children, and attended Agbele Community High School, while Richard who hails from Ire, Osun State attended Methodist Comprehensive College, Sagamu and a drop-out of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology,University of Calabar.
Items recovered from them include one locally-made pistol, live and expended cartridges, a sharp knife, cutlasses, hand gloves and assorted charms.

The suspects were said to have been handed over to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Sagamu Division, CSP Adebowale Lawal, for preliminary investigation before the matter will be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Eleweran, Abeokuta as directed by the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Ikemefuna Okoye.

Meantime, the CP has condemned the criminal act of the pastor who was involved in a rape case. He further directed that the pastor be charged to court without delay for such will serve as deterrent to other rapists particularly “men of God”who are fond of engaging themselves in criminal acts.

CP Okoye also commended the anti crime patrol team along the ever busy Lagos/Ibadan road for arresting the armed robbers who terrorize innocent Nigerians on the said expressway.

macsika: I think you should go for the one who prepares the food that matches the amount you give her.

Don't be blinded by the one who spends a lot in food, it might be that she is used to eating large and cooks that way because she is also benefitting from the food. By the time you'll be exclusive she'll become predator and you the prey.

But the other girl is being plain honest, modest and respectful. She's trying to prove to you that she knows about home economics and house managment and also that she can prepare a good meal regardless of the amount you give her.

Most times I laf at stupidity n ignorance of yoruba n other non-igbo who say we like money. Yes we like money but work hard n decently 4 it. Now d yorubas are struggling to measure up to us but yet again, their stupidity, ignorance and greed make them fall victims.
I once I asked a pretty yoruba teenager if she will love to marry Igbo man. She retorted and rebuked me saying ''tufiakwa, Igbo pple like money too much". That is d extent yoruba parents have gone in educating their children negatively abt their 'percieved' enemy- the Igbos. Nemesis!
