Schelube: @emydiddy.any update pleaseNone yet. It's being awaited. PTDF just released theirs on monday. |
PTDF today published names of 170 successful candidates for PG scholarsip. Next is NDDC. We are on course. |
1United1: So Wike The Tout, Is Gonna Cry Otuoke River Today? The same portfolio was given to "Saint" Prof Adenike Grange who came and not only messed up d system but also embezzled huge money in billions, meant for d sector. So who then is the right persn? |
CONFIRMED: My brother who works with Agip in PH called his friend in NDDC today. He said the shortlisting is being awaited and will happen soon. No specific date was given. He also said the scholarshp scheme has not been suspended. I think this will put all rumors and doubt to eternal rest. |
I just went thru the list of the shortlisted applicants and their interview dates for the 2012 scheme. I discovered that the interview lasted up till 27th of July. For the 2013 scheme, I think it crept into the month of June. Looking at it, u find out that they have a staggered arrangement or schedule for the scholarship. It is never regular. So, my advice to all the hopefuls is just to be patient and prayerful and not to be taken aback by all these unfounded rumors of suspension |

A meeting to further impoverish the citizens. A meeting of corrupt minds and people who lack visions and ideas. A meeting of old criminals and dishonest ppl. What do u think will be the outcome? Poverty, corruption and degeneration. But don't despair my people. I have a dream that one day and soon, righteous and visionary leaders will be in govt and things will begin to fall in shape. I have another dream that one day and soon, bad, corrupt and evil leaders and past leaders who have held this country down will be wiped out like a tsunami. |
millionaireman: Wrong. Opinion that Anioma be made state and joined to southeast as southeast's sixth state is NEVER the popular opinion among Igbos, including the Aniomas. More so, it is NEVER even an opinion among those well-informed Igbos who ask for sixth state in the southeast, it was NEVER opinion of southeast's participants in the past NPRC, NEVER the opinion of Igbos in the present N. Conference.you got me wrong buddie. I said u are up a against popular on NL and not SE or Igboland. |
I like your doggedness. But your up against a popular opinion here. Try harder. |
millionaireman: @EMMA BC, I hope you do not permit yourself to be swayed by some highly opinionated people on NL. Anioma state if and when created but remaining in the SOUTHSOUTH ZONE is an added advantage to the bargaining power of the Igbo in Nigeria. Head campaigners for Anioma state never wished it returns to SOUTHEAST zone when created. However, there are some among the hoi polloi that hang on this sentiment: "rest of Igbo, please help us get Anioma state so as to reintegrate Anioma Igbo to the southeast." But it is impracticable to have that part of Delta state democratically returned to southeast zone. Anioma had never belonged to Eastern Nigeria. Igbos give every support for Anioma state, but the souteast people have been clamouring for sixth state primarily because people of southeast are grossly under -represented in every political gathering of Nigerians, more so, in the NASS. By ANY YARDSTICK to be adopted by Nigeria to create a sixth state in the southeast, the twelve local govt areas in Imo West senatorial zone come first to be pronounced the sixth state, and far above the other demands for state in the southeast. Above all, HISTORY of state creation in the southeast zone further supports Njaba state, or if need be, ANIM state.Anioma is my choice and has always been. It is a project that if actualized will give SE more expansion, more natural and man-made resource. However, my fear is hinged on the huge opposition this choice is going to face both frm within and outside. |
U.Cyril:Kpomkwem! |
Andriel: I find the whole thing quite surprising. As a matter of fact, the university I got admission in has given me till the end of July to pay my deposit or forfeit the admission. I don't even know how to proceed now.there is still enough time. Don't panick. Just tell the sponsorship letter will be ready this month. |
Ikengawo: Anioma is my choice. We must add to our territory, not divide it into smaller fiefdoms.U have just made a good point, an intellectual one. I hope our Igbo leaders will take this into consideration |
Odenigbo Aroli: I'm not from Ihiala but I don't think Ihiala people are being oppressed in Anambra. If anything, we should be fighting for the creation of Anioma.I support you on that. Anioma is my choice, even though I come frm Orlu. |
Odenigbo Aroli: What sort of nonsense state creation is this....Well,scratch off Anambra from your list....Anambra remains as it is.I'm sure u are neither frm Ihiala nor Aguata. This proposal for Njaba was made way back during OBJ first tenure and was accepted by Anambra and Imo. By proximity Ihiala is closer to Orlu than Awka. They belong to Orlu catholic diocese. Would u then deny them freedom of association? No. |
Tobbie9: Hope u know the confab isn't the Senate, at best they can recommend they can't approve nothingBut GEJ had in d past hinted that d outcome of the confab will be subjected to referendum-which is a popular opinion. Let wait and see what he does after the confab. |
That is ur opinion. To most of us in d south east, it is long overdue. Let there be equity and fairness, before we can talk of true federalism. However, d delegates disappointed many Nigerians by opting for what it rather called 'Modified Presidential of Govt' instead of True fiscal federalism. It said under this system, the states will be d federating units without making any emphasis on resource control. The states are at liberty to make their own constitution but must subsist under d federal constitution. Then, the presidency must be rotated btw the south and d north in turns. |
Delegates at the ongoing confab unanimously approved the creation of one additional state for the south east geo-political in the spirit of "reconcilliation, justice and equality". It also approved the creation of 18 other states across all zones based on merit. These are the approved proposed states for d SE: 1. Etiti state which cuts across 5 states 2. Njaba state frm Orlu zone of Imo and Ihiala and Aguata LG of Anambra 3. Adada state frm Enugu. 4. Anioma state frm Delta Now that opportunity has finally come, I hope my SE people will not mess it up by fighting and disagreeing over the issue of the choice of state to be created. I ask the SE and Igbo people of NL, which of these proposed states is the best in terms of economic viability, land mass, population, proximity of the entities and so on? It is necessary that our opinions count. |
This is the handwork of clueless and taciturn GEJ who is afraid of being floored and disgraced by opposition candidates in d debate. |
Some of you in doubt can write Dr. Christy Atako, the ED, Education and health services of NDDC @ christyatako@nddc.gov.ng or christyatako@yahoo.com. If u are lucky u will get a reply. |
The list will be made public on or before 10th July and briefing and award ceremonies immediately start after that. The list has been ready since June 24, but has been going through political 'cleansing' and manipulations. Another dimension to the problem is that NDDC was heavily berated by the senate and the public for leaving over 2000 projects uncompleted during her budget presentation. so, they are considering whether to suspend the scholarship and concentrate on completing the projects. but everytin is being resolved. |
I'm pretty sure many of u hopefuls are tired of commenting on this post. They are just waiting to see who has received a text frm NDDC before jumping in. Anyway, I think while we wait for that, we should be sharing info on visa processing and application, tuberculosis test, visa interview with the embassy, tuition payment methods, accomodation, past experiences and generally life as a student in UK, for the UK-bound hopefuls. |
The list of awardees has been ready ever since 24th of june but has been going thru some political 'cleansing' and manipulations. The final list will be made public on or before July, 10. God will surely see us through. |
salaksmana: It was a DYNAMITE and no life was lost, it happened around 4am and not 5:30am. There were two, but the police anti-bomb squad defuse the other, confirmed by Osun commissioner of police. You can call it knockout, banger, matches, dynamo or anything u like, it will not do you and ur people any good. U have joined Fashola and co in covering up realities and truth abt bomb explosions that have occurred in the SW region in d past one week, just to create a false impression that the region is safe frm BH. We are watching |
I have searched all over the jobs and vacancy section of NL and could not find this thread. Was it stolen by the hackers? Anyway, my fellow NDDC postgraduate scholarship hopefuls, let us meet here to continue our discussion on the thread. So, guys what is the latest? |
egift: Point of Correction: It was a Tanker and not Bomb explosion.Your correction is very wrong. The bomb was planted in a car at the industrial area. I can't upload the picture of the car on my small phone. See vanguard and thisday for clear pictures of the car and the scene. |
Palpable fear gripped Lagos residence especially Apapa residence as there was car bomb explosion on Folawiyo street in Apapa area of Lagos. Four people were reported dead. Workers at the industrial area came to work the following morning only to discover that there offices have been shattered. I hope Fashola and Lagosians are very awake. Check www.vanguardngr.com for details |

plusfield: Note, apart from nos 2 and 6, the rest are edo, warri etc.u re wrong on there ethnicity. Ojinika comes from Imo, Etuokwu is Igbo, as well as Wigwe. Elias is Edo. Appointment or election into top mgt position of a public bank is majorly determined by shareholder (s) with the highest shares . At Zenith, Jim Ovia single- handedly appointed Emefiele as his successor cos he owns the majority shares; the same goes to UBA. GTB cannot have Igbo CEO cos its shares are a controlled by the Yorubas; the same thing with First bank . |
Here is the list of the current top managment staff of Access Bank Plc. It seems to be an Igbo- dominated ( 90%) bank now given their level of shareholding and leadership. Revelation! 1. Herbert Wigwe GMD/CEO 2. Obinna Nwosu Deputy GMD 3. Victor Etuokwu ED, personnel and business dev. 4. Ojinika Olaghere ED, Operations an IT 5. Elias Ebinakhenzua ED, corporate and investment banking 6. Roosevelt Ogbonna ED, commercial banking |
runzlord: no waydo u really mean it? |
