I think that depends on the school you attended. Abịa state university will cost a 100L student about 600k plus... But the worst of it all is that you won't see what you paid for - terrible laboratory with no equipment, fake x-ray result that is used used repeatedly for all the students even after paying the medical dues. Acceptance fee alone is 100k not to talk of the school fees, to check post utme result is 3k... Please if you can enjoy standard education in Covenant University with that amount, I think it's worth it. Quality stuffs always come at a price.

Many people are begging to eat and you are begging to buy phone. I can only imagine. This is misplaced priority. Africans need to learn how to take responsibility for what they want and stop all these self pity... It will never do us any good.

I think that the problem of Nigeria is entitlement mentality.
We believe from birth that we are entitled to good things without planning on how to pay the price for them. Most of us think that we have been robbed of what we DESERVE and want to get it back at the expense of others.
Entitlement our major problem; if we must move forward, we must let go of the mentality that we are supposed to have a share of what others have when we didn't work or contribute to their success in any way. We must be content with what we have, and try to respect others who have paid the price for succes. All these can only begin with us!.
There is hope for Nigeria!, but it has to begin somewhere - from us!.

When I go through the comments on nairaland posts, it baffles me to see some kind of kind of insulting, annoying and mind blowing replies many people give on posts on nairaland, but seeing the kind of replies under this post made me shout 'THERE IS HOPE FOR NIGERIA!'

Christianity is a way of life and not a religion. If you are a true Christian, you will pray rather than cast your faith when you sense that something is not done right.
The Bible says that we should watch out for each other in love and humility rather than blasphem, gossip and criticize one another.

Instead of preaching salvation and condemning immoralities, our churches and pastors are interested in preaching prosperity, tithes and offerings. Every message is based on financial returns for churces and their criminal G.O'S. Cases like this are predominant in the south despite the high concentration of churches. How many muslims will you find partaking in such immorality? Muslims girls are well groomed, covered in decent dressings yet we Christians see their ways as primitive. Even though I condemn rape, events like this makes me ashamed of being a Christian. In my next life i will never join Christianity
