emmancecute: Events are planned day in day out relying solely on foods, drinks, decorations, venues, music et al to give you a glamorous outing but security of your guests always seem to be left out because little or no attention is given to it. Times have changed so also has conventional approach to security failed. Don't just limit your event security formations to access control and parking of vehicles only, it could be more than that. We can give you that professional security coverage at an affordable rate hence giving you a hitch free, memorable event. Feel free to share your events security experience here. |

Jahblessme: As usual nairaland resident bingos have started crawling out of their holes to tell you this is normal behaviour and ask you to pray. They are the sort of men your husband is mingling with encouraging him to be a dog like them because they have no self control & believe every man is born with no moral compass.
My dear OP,when he told you he doesn't owe you faithfulness what did you do?were you there looking at him like an olodo or did you defend your union and your beliefs there and then?I will give you small space for shock to settle in but after then what next?
Did you woman up and speak clearly ,sharply and concisely about your expectations to him?
Did you ask him if he doesn't owe you faithfulness are you also free to assume that you do not owe fidelity to him as well?
Did you marry an ancestor that you are a slave to?Your age gap looks like its from 8-10 years-did he pay for your schooling?Do you have a job and contribute to your home?Even if you do not work ,you care for your home and do housework,is that appreciated? I'm asking these questions cos that is what usually gives some people guts to misbehave. When you are helpless and especially have no source of income and they know it.Regardless,no one deserved to be hurt in this manner.
It is a free world and people are free to voice their opinion o but for a man to come out less than two years after marriage to boldly say he doesn't owe you faithfulness,he must feel you are waaay beneath him to be respected.
When you signed the dotted lines you did not sign up to be cheated on,you did not sign up to be exposed to STDs,please relay that to him without apologies.
I find it hard to believe that this man hasn't always been this way.No normal loving partner would be this bold. There are plenty issues lurking, there must be heavy disrespect in other aspects of your marriage ,its just that this one has pained you more than the others.
As you can read i'm not into begging or pampering when you are not at fault ,you should be the one who is begged and pampered after your discovery. If you begin to wail and beg and gnash your teeth, you will continue like this for the rest of your marriage-this is what the bingos will ask you to do to 'save your marriage',thereby putting you at a huge disadvantage and at the mercy of a human being like you(born of a woman just like you). Please learn to stand up for yourself-calm measured discussion ,no huffing and puffing,no begging.Just clear statement of facts. After this discussion you can now decide your next steps.
Good Luck. Op pls disregard comments like this else you'll see your marriage crumble in no distant time. |
Family › Re: I Caught My Husband Chatting With A Lady On Facebook & WhatsApp & Confronted Him by emmancecute(m): 11:40pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
Op, I will be sincere with you. You'll hardly find 20 out of 100 men who do not cheat on their wives. If your perception is that your husband would never cheat on you then you'll have unneccesary heartbreaks when you eventually find out he does. We tend to compare ourselves with the western world forgetting that our society is entirely different, why do you think we have more failed marriages overthere if there ideology about marriage truly works. If you ask your mum, I believed she endured a lot, inlaw headaches, cheating husband and so other numerous limitations before she got to this point. The truth is marriage in the African setting doesn't work like that. My advice to you, is to try and ignore whatever you saw and Concentrate on making your marriage work as bigger huddles are coming your way as you progress in your fate. Show Love and care to your husband and he'll eventually forget the distractions. Stop checking your husband's phone cos what you will find there might do you more harm than good. Your union is still quite young, and all the fighting you need to do is to pray to God to deliver your husband from the shackles of any strange woman. No marriage is perfect. |

gemale: It's a commendable move that other nations have since embraced. Each branch of armed forces should have a certain degree of self sufficiency in combat matters. A shining example is the united states armed forces. The army has its own air corps, the navy has the marine corps, which is an amphibious mini branch, the SEALs for special operations & air units that fly both fixed & rotary winged aircrafts. However, the publicity is what i frown at. Special operations isn't something you go about announcing. Training should be conducted as covertly as combat ops are. The only people entitled to know are the necessary participants, organizers trainers. Even the trainees should only be alerted when they report. Also, the training emphasis should have included the ability of the successful participants to retrain others. We can't keep calling foreign mercenaries to train our military. It's not only shameful but dangerous. All the armed forces in Nigeria has their special forces components. The army has the counterforces housed under the special warfare wing which includes the trackers, commandos, rangers et al, the navy has the SBS which can be likened the to the US Navy Seal, while the NAF has the QRF. This type of training is to further widen the horizon of its personnels in special forces oriented operations. Like you rightly said, news as such ought be Top secrets. |

chigoizie7: Well, from what I heard or know.
For anyone being appointed into the public office, the person should be clear on all criminal cases. And should also be cleared by all security agencies. So, on this very magu case, I think the senate are right as the DSS didn't clear magu, or should I say magu is still being indicted by the DSS? My brother, you and I know that the reason why Magu isn't cleared is not because of the DSS report as we were made to believe. I guess Magu has something the senate wants. |
Politics › Re: We Don’t Need Restructuring In Nigeria – Okorocha by emmancecute(m): 9:30am On Jul 18, 2017 |
quid: https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/07/11/alaafin-we-need-restructure-because-bulk-of-nigerias-oil-money-goes-to-north/
Alaafin: We Need Restructure Because Bulk Of Nigeria’s Oil Money Goes To North .
Ademola Babalola in Ibadan The bulk of Nigeria’s oil money goes to northern part of the country with successive military regimes unduly favouring a section of the country at the expense of other geopolitical zones in the land, hence the need for the nation to restructure if there must be equity, justice and fair play.
With the above position, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Monday joined the agitation for the restructuring of Nigeria. Alaafin spoke at the launch of a biography and postscript titled: ‘Samuel Ladoke Akintola in the Eyes of History,’ written by Femi Kehinde.
At the event, Alaafin traced the historic feud between the late Akintola and the late Obafemi Awolowo, noting that the first federal government’s interference in state affairs happened during the dispute between the two Yoruba politicians, which led to the crisis witnessed in the South-west and ultimately in the death of Akintola.
According to Alaafin, the North was favoured in terms of revenue allocation because while more states and council areas were created in the region, other regions were yet to enjoy similar opportunity despite being federating units.
He said: “The first time that the federal government would interfere in state affairs began when the government at the centre interfered in the feud between Akintola and Awolowo. The government, in support of Akintola, declared a state of emergency in the old Western Region, snowballing into serious crisis. “The army came and took side during a coup that led to the death of Akintola. Aguiyi Ironsi that took over, abolished the regional system through Decree 34 of 1960. He also scrapped the term federal republic and replaced it with republic of Nigeria.
“The northerners felt that with the new system, the Emirs would no longer be able to operate within a republic like before. Their belief was that Ironsi came from a culture that opposed their belief. This led to a counter coup of July 29, 1960. I am trying to tell you why we have to restructure Nigeria.
“Gowon that came later, returned the term Federal Republic of Nigeria but not the region. Lagos is about 20 million people going by the first census conducted and Kano was next. Within the next 10 years, Kano was split into about 44 council areas but Lagos remains with 20 council areas.
“Jigawa was created from Kano and given 19 council areas. This means that the bulk of what Nigeria realises from oil goes to the North. If we are in a region, the government of that region can create council areas but because we depend on a monolithic manner of financing the states, we are in problem. Have they been able to publish the people who own the oil blocks in Nigeria?” Alaafin said the bulk of the owners of the oil blocks come from a certain area of the country, expressing his displeasure that government had displayed insensitivity and unrealistic approach to the yearnings of the oil producing area.
“They cannot fish or practice agriculture so they have to agitate. The Oyo State Government cannot pay teachers and civil servants because what is coming to its coffers from the federal government is minimal. Our revenue has been taken over by the federal government. What the federal government collects in Value Added Tax in an area in Oyo State in one month is more than what it collects in Adamawa State in three months. Yet, the federal government takes all away,” the monarch said.
Present at the event were former Governors of Oyo State, Dr. Omololu Olunloyo and Adebayo Alao-Akala. Among others were Justice Ladiran Akintola and the late Bola Ige’s daughter, Funso Adegbola. Dele Momodu delivered the lecture while the book was reviewed by former Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Festus Adedayo. And one drunk mumu says we don't need restructuring. Even when we're repackaged and sold to the world as he drunkenly recommended, 90% of the proceeds will still go the goro chewing, yellow toothed guy. No be another war be that? |

But the senate is right this time.
No one should be bigger than the constitution. The senate isn't entirely right, they both need clarification on the subject matter. The truth is the present constitution needs a total overhauling, cos there's a lot missing in it. |

We keep telling them that the 1999 constitution is outdated, but they won't listen. This saga will continue until this is done, Agencies act says executive appointees as their Chairman, DGs et all must pass through the senate for confirmation, but such provision isn't in the constitution. Most of the new Govt agencies don't have their provisions in the constitution, and the constitution is the embodiment of all act& codes, isn't that contradictory? |
