you do not have any application with ircc. You only have an application when you submit after ITA. You should only include the 3 years experience, then after ITA include nysc in personal history. That way you avoid submitting a reference letter for nysc experience

For IELTS computer based is better.
There's a chance that your name can be erased and someone else's name would be written on your script for paper based. You would end up getting 6 - 7 in everything besides speaking which they can't manipulate.

If anyone has been failing paper based, kindly switch to computer based as the exam is not marked in Nigeria hence you get accurate results. Cheers.
For real? Are the names usually written in Pencil?

There’s an NL thread for French speakers just google NL TEF. It will pop up, it took me 10months of study & prep to write the exam. I self studied and then I took one month of TEF prep class at AF. You can try Duolingo. Lawlessfrench.com, RFIsavoirs.com & RFI radio and TV5monde.com. There’s also an app hello talk for language exchange. If you have Netflix change your profile to French and watch movies in French with subtitles. It really helps
Thanks for this..

July 13, 2021 Incomplete Applications: Important information for all applicants and representatives/Express Entry streams: Educational Credential Assessment reports issued by World Education Services

Applicants are expected to submit a complete application that complies with program criteria at the time of application submission. Accepting only complete applications decreases processing times for our clients.

If you are applying under an Express Entry stream and have an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) issued by World Education Services (WES), you must authorize WES to share a copy of your ECA with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

To authorize WES to share your ECA results with us, you must order an ‘Additional Report’ of your ECA report online and select the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program as the recipient of the ECA.

Authorizing WES to share the results of your assessment with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is not sufficient for the purposes of your application to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

Very important: Failure to provide a copy of your ECA report and authorize WES to share the results of your ECA with the OINP will result in your application being returned as incomplete and application fee refunded. You will lose the opportunity to apply to the program unless you receive a new notification of interest.

Looks like express entry streams are: French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream, Human Capital Priorities stream and Skilled Trades stream
Christianity EtcRe: Sex: A Trusted Tool In The Hands Of The Devil by Emmandu(f): 10:21pm On Jul 25, 2021
[quote author=Interesting15 post=104063962]God is the loving Creator who created everything well and lovely, and sex is not an exception. But the mischievous devil is the master of perversion. The evil devil is in the business of perverting the pleasant things created by Yahweh. The devil has been doing this to serve his own mischievous purposes - basically to steal, kill and destroy.

Sex is God's pleasant idea, and it's meant to serve honourable purposes. The Will of God is this:
"All sexual pleasure should be shared between a man and his married female wife in the safe confines of their marriage institution, with no other party involved."

But the devil usually make people go contrary to God's design, getting them defiled and dirty. He is aware sin lures humans out of God's covering and protection, and he gets the chance to plunder the sinner (and even get him killed and send him to hell if he failed to repent). Hence, sex (sexual immorality) has been a trusted tool the devil has been using since the history of man started, to make humans sin against God, there by gaining access to ruin them.

These sexual acts are perversion:

1. Premarital sex (fornication). Having sex when you are not married. 1 Corinthians 6: 18

2. Extramarital Sex (Adultery). Having sex with someone other than your own spouse. Exodus 20:14; Proverbs 6:32-34

3. Homosexuality: Sexual relations between members of same gender, like lesbianism (which is between females) and gayism (which is between males). Romans 1:26-32

4. Pornography And Masturbation. Deriving sexual pleasure from seeing the unclothedness of others; Playing with your sexual organs for sexual pleasures. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

5. Other Immoral Sexual Acts like smooching someone not your married spouse, sextings and the rest of them. Colossians 3:5

Dimple10:
It has been said that you can get your colleague or supervisor to write you reference on plain paper, include their current contact details and sign it ( I hear you need to notarise, not sure if its necessary). They'll also give a copy of their work ID card showing their designation et al which you'll submit along with an LOE stating why/how you came about the reference. You can also include your employment letter and your work ID as backup. Basically anything that can prove you actually work there.

Ensure that the reference meets IRCC standard - ensure that the job description on your reference letter matches (1) the lead statement, (2) all the essential duties and (3) most of the main duties listed on your chosen NOC. **NOC mismatch is one of the most common reasons for rejected FSW applications.**

The bolded is more important.

LOE should cover the following points.
- State the reason why you cannot get a reference letter from employer, if you have any evidence to support you statement, please mention it and also attach it along with the letter.
- In absence of the letter, mention what proactive steps you have taken to prove your work experience.
- Mention the list of documents which you are submitting, in the absence of the reference letter.
- Request the Case Officer to consider your case in light of your situation and also in terms of the proactive steps taken by you to submit best alternative documentary evidence.

All the best! smiley
FamilyRe: 9 Insightful Tips That Can Help You Break Out Of Your Comfort Zone by Emmandu(f): 3:14pm On Jul 15, 2021
[quote author=binarymachine post=102736960]Before my graduation from the University, I used to be very poor at public speaking, afraid of giving speeches and very rarely spoke in class, I barely end into people’s eyes because I was afraid of making direct eye contact and this went on for a good number of years. it was so bad I could not even do anything that’s self promotional, but here I am , curious about this topic as much as I want to improve myself. I struggled with public speaking for years and I believe alot of successful people had experienced same.

At a time I wasn’t bordered about it, so I thought in my head , you’re either born a public speaker or you’re simply not. So one day, something interesting happened. we had a new lecturer, and all of a sudden I heard a voice in my direction, Hey, can you please rise up and introduce yourself? She had put me on the spot immediately, I found myself in this foreign land with all eyes starring at me. how would you feel if this happened to you? My heart started racing with a voice saying “why me? I can’t, my mind went blank, I mean, I couldn’t introduce myself, I kept quiet, that was the first day I got overwhelmed with the fear of public speaking.

I was devastated, after school that day I decided that it was enough. I started looking for solutions. I began my search with Google on how to overcome the fear of public speaking, some of the links gave me the advantages of becoming a public speaker, great leader and so on, share ideas with people around you, talk infront of a mirror, I was amazed because I never knew it’s something I could develop on my own as I always thought you’re either born with it or not, I simply realised how wrong I was. It was then I realized it’s a teachable skill. so I started implementing what I learned. Talked in front of the mirror, sharing ideas with friends which they would tell me where I was wrong.

In my final year, I was given a seminar topic to present before my lecturers and ofcourse the students, and the voice came again, “you can’t do this” this time, I took a deep breath, said to myself, it’s never as scary as it seem. I started my research. wouldn’t say I wasn’t afraid, I was, but I pushed myself. I realized I was getting better and don’t have to even memorize my words for the presentation.

Often times, people feel Like they have reached a point in their lives where they are comfortable and don’t need to grow in anyway. They fail to understand that transformation and self- improvement is a never ending process that can either be fostered or ignored.

However, if you don’t make out time to grow or learn, your life will be stagnant and this is caused by not being able to step out of your comfort zone. Though It will seem scary at first, but you need to challenge yourself, take it one step at a time even when there is no assurance or guarantee that your efforts will result in success. It’s always better to try than concede defeat before the battle.

Previously, we looked at the Dangers of remaining in the confines our comfort zones. So you there, what is that thing still holding you back? I see life as a constant fight against your comfort zone. you push it because it keeps pushing back. what are you saying or doing because it’s your comfort zone? Are you scared of entering a new relationship because you don’t want to be hurt again or is it your job, you’re afraid you may not find another job? Or starting a new career? Could it be fear of public speaking just like me before? Whatever it is ,I encourage you to try it because as I found, I think you will too, Below are tips to help you overcome your comfort zone.

1. Identify Your Fears

Once you can identify those things that hold you back or might put you in danger of not achieving your goals, accept them for what they are. not letting them rule your life and bringing them to light, keep in mind that these might make you feel uncomfortable, have, you don’t need to be afraid. That’s the whole idea, the more you keep them the more danger you cause yourself, you may feel frustrated, angry, anxious, impatient, do yourself a favour and dismiss these feelings, for example, if you ‘re in the habit of going to work late and you feel very uncomfortable and frustrated, if you you think deep, you may discover that this is as a result of either waking up late of getting trapped by traffic, then you can adjust.

2. Embrace The Uncertainty

This means you should allow yourself to start new with all sort of expectations, negative or positive with assurance that it will result in success. be courageous to face discomforts for your growth. Uncertainty is always inevitable yet, it can be beautiful. Get prepared for the worst but expect the best, whatever happens, be it good or bad, don’t think about the worst that can happen rather the best you could get out of any situation. So, be open and ready to learn new things.

3. Change Your Routine

Changing your routine doesn’t require much work rather Willingness and desire to be more productive, Accordingly, deviate from your familiar routines, break out and create space for new ideas. start all over and get used to the unfamiliar by trying new things by making mistakes, if watching TV is your hobby, you could replace it by reading from books, do something outside of your regular routines.

4. Try Something New

Having a new experience comes with lots of benefits. What’s holding you back from trying something new? Be creative, step out and this will boost your confidence. you will see yourself appreciating your little efforts and little achievements. it’s normal to fail, so, you don’t need to be afraid and this shouldn’t stop you, stepping out of your comfort zone requires trying new things.

5. Face Your Fears

Sometime all we need to overcome fear is confidence. I want you to know that if you don’t do it for yourself nobody will, are your fears causing you a less fulfilling life than the one you hoped for? If you’ve been able to identify your fears, it’s time to face them head- on, Accept that things aren’t working as plan,it’s in your scariest moments that you can find great skills you never knew you had. Thus, be brave to conquer that fear, by doing those things you fear over and over again.

6. Believe In Yourself

Your belief is the most powerful tool you have, believing in yourself means understanding your capabilities, knowing you can do something without any self doubts, when you have the ability to take action in order to achieve success , Embrace who you are , believe in your worth and potential, believe in your dreams that they are valid and see your life changed. Take time to think about who you are and what you believe in.

7. Build Strong Conviction

The idea that you need to have a sense of purpose, you need to embrace and find what’s best for you, figure out what you can do, be convinced that taking action will lead to the success of leaving your comfort zone.

8. Get Used To Being Uncomfortable

When presented with two options to choose from, always go for the one that’s uncomfortable. break patterns, do something different by getting used to it, be willing to face discomfort situations for your growth, being uncomfortable means pushing yourself past your comfort zone, embracing those failures, making mistakes and learning from them, the more mistakes you make ,the smarter you become and the more likely you are to achieve your goals.

9. Be Persistent And Intentional About It

Be fully engaged in whatever goals or decision you want, they may not be any guarantee for success. However, remain committed and willing to take risk, your ability to persist is the quality for success in life. If you persist you’ll definitely succeed, don’t quit untill you succeed. I hope these ideas inspires you to breakout of your comfort zone.

FamilyRe: Questions to Consider Before Renting a New Apartment in a New Area by Emmandu(f): 7:30pm On Jul 10, 2021
Moneyfem:
This short article centres on power supply and regularity in the new area you want to move to as an individual or family. Whether you will enjoy stable power supply in the new community or not, the answers you get to these questions will determine:

1. Is the community close to a GenCo, TransCo or DisCo power station? It has been observed that if your apartment is not far from a major power station, the possibility is high that you will enjoy power supply and vice-versa, other things being equal. They usually want to satisfy their host communities. Also, when the transformer or a cable develops faults, proximity of the concerned community makes it easy for the power operators to access the community on time. Simply put, your potential new apartment should be in a community that is not far from the centre or city where power operators have their office.

2. Are most houses in the area metered or not? By research, it has been found that communities with high rates of metering enjoy regular power supply than others without meters. Power operators know that for them to realize significant revenue from metered communities, they have to supply them significant amount of power.

3. Are houses in your potential new community not perpetual debtors? If they are, forget about regular power supply, vice-versa. Imagine a community where on average, every house owes about N300,000 to N500,000 in power bill. If you ignorantly and mistakenly move to such an area, just go and get a good power generator and get ready to spend on petrol and repairs.

4. Do you have influential people living in the area? A politician like an LG Chairman, Senator, Federal Rep or other influential people will help ensure there is constant power supply in your area. This may sound odd or funny but it is true in this part of the world.

5. Are you ready to pay for power supply? If you have secured your new apartment/house based on the first four questions above and your answer to this number five is YES, you will enjoy power supply, vice-versa.

Thanks for reading.

As many wait with bated breath for FSW draws to begin, please;

1) read page 1 and the links to IRCC there - nothing worse than an error that one could have avoided because clear instructions were written in black and white.

2) read rejection stories, example in this link for tips on what to avoid: https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/602#91022987

3) search NL using keywords on your issue...... almost all have been experienced by people in the past and comments/posts are PLENTY.....hardly anything is new under the sun

E2 language. Watched a lot of their top viewed videos on YouTube. Also signed up for daily online tutorials on their website and learnt a lot. Then i practiced a lot. Especially writing cos i had 6.5 twice previously. I also submitted my writing for evaluation by ielts trainers on e2language. Then i scheduled a writing tutorial with one of their best teachers, Dr Anna. Writing was d problem for me.
Speaking is about confidence and knowing a little about the popular ielts topics. I got many knowledge ideas from the E2 classes.

FYI, i spent some money for this 1 on1 tutorial, But it was worth it in the end. Good luck
Wow! Thanks so much
