Satdexter: These three lnb are strong brands of lnb. I feel they converge signals slightly differently. What do you think? For me O, number 3 is the best of them all, it gave my 9e a boot of 8% (76 to 84%) on my 1.8m offset. The first one has many duplicate, was in Arena on Saturday and noticed brown and yellow carton of the same lnbf with different prices. |

waleayeni1: I feel like a guru right now. I tracked 5'e and 7e with one lnb by accident. But who cares, I feel like the Einstein of FTA right now. Added that to 51.5 e and I can tell you for free that the only thing that takes me to dstv now is football matches. Asides that I got so many music movies and news channels than I need I even have several annoying Nigerian movies channels. My gurus in the house, una too much . Only that witchcraft Nigcomsat dey elude me. I go show am after I come back brom my event. For Nigcomsat, Track Dstv first. Then move the dish 4in inches down, slightly to ur left. while standing at the back of ur dish. If u succesfully track nigcomsat, u can easily add 51.5 on top (the gap between 42 and 51.5e is just the lenght of the diameter of ur regular kuband lnbf. if u are patient enough, u can add 32e, 36e and 28e which is very easy. |

Satdexter: I think it's time we bring up dish talk. I mean the variety of ready-made satellite offset dishes out there. I noticed that the types of blue ds*v 90cm dishes are up to 3 or more, Even the 100cm/1 meter dishes vary at signal strength. For those who have used kwese 1 meter grey dish, pls what is your highest signal strength for 51.5e? My point is that the 90cm dishes with longer focal length are performing equally with kwese 1meter grey dish. Pls let's confirm this. Thanks. Am hoping for replies Nice topic. Focal point or lenght is the juice of a satellite dish. If ur dish has bad focal point, ur 4m dish will underperform and output will be comparable to a 60cm dish. I've on numerous occasions come across dishes whose lnbf arms are missing and I had to fabricate the arms as well as get an approximate Focal point. As regards 51e, I happen to get 83%, 77% and 72% on three separate 1m dishes of different make. Also 12518h29500 74% 69% and 72% on this same dishes.. NB: if u want to know that ur dish is underperforming, track nigcomsat or dstv. If the dish is bad u won't get nigcomsat and if u get dstv, the signal will be very poor. In such cases it is best u replace the lnbf arm of ur dish, lie ur dish flat facing the ground or recalibrate ur Focal point. |

Digitman: This your statement get a very very very very strong negative undertone and to prove to you that you are 100 percent wrong to tag me as someone who sees every question I attend to here, as coming from a "newbie"
I will respect myself and go back to the offline ghost mode I have been on for the past 10 years or more since I joined nairaland.
After all my spirit told me not to respond to any question on this thread but my over busy body will not let me.
Anyways, sorry nor vex, I never came here to offend anybody or look down on anybody. But since e don dey gradually look like that. Then, I will learn to mind my business from this moment on.
Once again anybody I offend in anyway, I am sorry and you will never hear me say a word here again. So as not to offend you people. U are free to interpret it any way u want and choose ur decisions. My point is, the guy u wrote an epistle on is a key member of more than 14 years fta experience. That's just my point. If u go offline, thus that mean nairaland will close down. Soldier go, Soldier come. |

Digitman: I don't mean to be rude, so don't get what I am about to say next twisted.
If you have taken the time out to be reading through this thread, you will not have the need to ask the above question.
Because the name Ourtv, has raised a topic many times over that sends the warning bells that it does not multistream for now, many times over.
I am only responding to this question because I don't get repulsive very easily. I believe many people who would have given you that answer before I came here. Saw it and just choose to ignored. Because the question makes it seems like they have been here shouting and you never listened.. Haha.
My bro the answer to your question is no.
Have a lovely Sunday If i might come in here. U are very right that it has been answered. Don't just conclude that everyone here is a newbie. The guy asking the question is a professional in buds. He asking might just come as sudden and didn't take time to look round. |

ogbeh44: I tried it and it worked for me. This is what I did: After configuring it, I joined the wires and connected them to the decoders. u are putting ur whole setup to dangerous risk. Digitman: MULTISWITCH Multi switch is good if the client can afford it, i usually recommend for such for big projects. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by emmaniche: 2:35pm On Sep 25, 2020 |
Digitman: Two point to consider when answering such a question like this should be
(1) the two decoders will be using two different power source at someone point.. So the only time both will totally be on is when there is electricity from the power company
(2) so what could be the limitation to this is you apply the configuration of looping from one decoder to another ? Considering the fact that the primary decoder has to be on for the looping to take effect.
Furthermore someone pointed out the issue of some channels only working on one polarity. That becomes another area to consider.
So which other solution comes in mind? Loop out is not advised for polarity issues, my take is u buy a dual output lnbf for ur setup, add an additional diseq. configure the two decoders seperatly on the diseq and enjoy ur setups. |

Onateye93: yes, It has the capabilities to be connected to four satellites. This ur def. is not the best def. for multi stream. multi stream is totally different from diseq. almost all decoders support diseq, not all support multi stream. Multi stream is new and unique transmission technique. Diseq is a multiple lnbf/signal combination or cascade or multiplex technique. H265 is a new algo. for video compression. |

Mourino: Good morning Emmaniche and other gurus in the house. I have a 1.8m dish. Please, what Satellites can I track to enjoy some football/sports actions. Thnx. I reside in Makurdi, Benue State If u have an offset 1.8m, u are good to go on AFN and might be lucky to get cosmote sports @9e. if ur 1.8m is PF, u might just use it for normal fta and track 45e yayi. NB: 1.8m has high gain and nearly compared to 2.4 PFD. |
