Reality is what is lost on social media, especially Facebook. We emphasize the best versions of ourselves instead of the real versions. Whenever we try to be what we are not here, let's not forget that we have people who know us in real life out of Facebook. Facebook is sooooooo fake, fake people, fake life and fake everything. Facebook recently revealed something to me, that in here you can be Very intelligent, beautiful, funny, glamorous and even have your own car only on Facebook.... But in real life, you do don't have any of these things and attributes. Some of us have certain triggers that can cause our confidence to take a sudden nosedive. This is mostly caused by competitions....when you start feeling Insecure that one particular girl always poses with her long hair and her camera 360 pictures gains her 5000 likes and comments so you begin to develop self inferiority...don't judge people from pictures, some people are very beautiful in real life but not photogenic and some are very photogenic... Thanks to 360 camera. The reality is, people are constantly showcasing the best parts of their lives on social media... Pls add pictures of those fake boys and girls forming LA-POSH if u have any |

GARCINIA Cola, popularly called bitter kola has been identified as a potent antibiotic which could be efficacious in the treatment of HIV and AIDS. Bitter kola is found in the tropical rain region and given different names in Nigeria. It is known as Orogbo in Yorubland, Namijin-goro among Hausa, Akuilu in Igboland.A researcher with the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), Mrs. Chinyere Nwokeke told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the kola could be used in treating opportunistic infections associated with HIV.Bitter kola "is highly recommended in the treatment of HIV and AIDS because of its anti-bacterial, detoxification and cleansing properties," she said. She said that the chemical Saponin in bitter kola is responsible for its cleansing effect. Saponin is mainly used as tonic for the liver, it enhances the functions of the liver and gall bladder."It is also very effective in the treatment of cough, diarrhoea, tuberculosis and other bacterial infections."When food is suspected to be contaminated by bacteria, chew bitter kola immediately after, it will forestall the development of any infection or poisoning," she added.Nwokeke said that in the past, the kola was eaten mostly by the elderly because of their belief that it could prolong life."Actually researches in modern science have revealed that bitter kola contains chemical compounds that will help the breakdown of glycogen in the liver and has other medicinal uses which account for its longevity property in man. "Bitter kola is anti-poison too, it has the ability to repel evil men and spirits, it could sound superstitious but it works, she said. The naturalist said that the seed and the bark of bitter kola should be eaten together in cases where food poisoning is suspected, "it helps to detoxify the system.""It can also be used to repel snakes for those who live in areas that are prone to snakes," she said. She also said that bitter kola could be used in the treatment of breast cancer as it has anti-cancerous effect. For children, when ground and mixed with honey, bitter kola could be used in the treatment of measles and mumps, it should be taken orally and also applied externally in the case of mumps," she said.Nwokeke also revealed the efficacy of the bitter kola in vomiting for both children and adults."It can be used to clear coarse voice, it clears the voice by stimulating the production of mucus along the lining of the vocal tube which softens the dry throat," she added. She also revealed that the body craves for bitter foods from time to time. "Nature advocates a balance in everything, when sweet foods are eaten in excess, the body tends to be more acidic, in order to balance this, bitter foods should be eaten occasionally.""The body is at its optimum health when it is slightly alkaline

Two persons were feared dead yesterday, one was injured when a petrol-laden tanker with registration number FST 936 SJ fell and caught fire at Oshodi bus-stop. But Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said one died. It was learnt that the tanker laden with 33,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), fell around NAFDAC office in Oshodi at 2am, spilling its contents. The incident caused a massive gridlock on the busy Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, as another heavy duty vehicle, carrying a 20 foot container, reportedly fell during rescue operations. The tanker was said to have affected a pick-up van loaded with bags of charcoal. The driver and his motor boy escaped unhurt, but two persons were burnt beyond recognition while attempting to scoop fuel. An eyewitness, Femi Olusesan, said the fuel tanker was unlatched, adding that the driver was on top speed. He said: “The fully loaded unlatched fuel tanker fell around the NAFDAC office in Oshodi. “Some people went to scoop the fuel but unfortunately the tanker exploded and killed two of them. “Several other trucks nearby also caught fire but the drivers escaped unhurt.” Jude Amise, a resident, said he and his neighbours saw the fire when it started but never knew that a tanker fell. “At first when we saw the fire we thought some people were burning tyres, it was when the smoke thickened we decided to move close to the scene. We saw a fallen tanker. At that time, the fire became uncontrollable. We tried to quench the fire ourselves but we realised it was more than our power so we informed the fire fighters men who eventually put it out.’’ Residents blamed the deplorable road for the incident. LASEMA said the body has been handed over to the environmental health monitoring unit. The deceased, LASEMA said, was an adult male, adding that he was severely burnt. Also, a Volkswagen conveying used wears, caught fire at Airport bus-stop along Lagos-Abeokuta Express Way. The incident occurred around 2:00pm yesterday. The nation learnt sympathizers helped put out the fire before fire fighters men arrived. But, some of the wears was said to have been partially destroyed by the fire.
