Yes it referred to burnt offering sacrifice using human. It seemed to be the practice with them then that was why Abraham did not think twice about offering his son Isaac. I suspect there are various Gods being worshipped by the israelites at that time and human sacrifice at one point was replaced with animal sacrifice which later was abolished with the human sacrifice of Christ. I believe at each stage and with each Entity they had new method of worship.

First off, the noun God is a title, not a name of a person. Other titles in this class are, Chief, Mr, King, Sir. All of these titles are WHO and not WHAT, because they refer to living persons not objects.

So, your question is flawed from all fronts. Try again.

As Christians, we are commanded to circumcise the foreskin of every male child. But I have seen so many children especially in the Yoruba land uncircumcised and I'm sure most of their adults who were not circumcised are still not circumcised even now.

So as a born again Christian lady, can you marry an uncircumcised guy?
