Africa and the rest of the developing world cannot achieve the level of industrial revolution the west experienced in the 19th & 20th century without fossil fuels. The power requirements of a large scale car plant can hardly be generated by today’s available renewable energy sources. Haven’t heard of one powered by windmills or sunlight.

It is almost inexplicable that the same west that used petroleum and coal to catalyze its industrial revolution are now preaching climate change and green energy to those on the cusp of industrial development.

How can Nigeria generate enough power to boost it’s abysmal wattage and overcome it’s crippling power challenges, if not by a source even more revolutionary than fossil, a source like nuclear?

Maybe they don't want those who are down to climb up.
They want to remove the ladder

There is ZERO chance of a default.

Rather than default, they will print more money and pay since it is a local currency denominated investment.
Agreed, it will cause more inflation which I believe they are fearing.
Where the wahala dey is the dollar denominated investment since they will have to generate dollars by fire by force to pay that and that is a determinant of what the country generates as revenue unlike naira investment they can just go inside and print more papers to bail themselves out

True... And if Netanyahu was the leader of the Taliban, George Bush would have been killed in the first week.

I beg to disagree.
Netayahun is not as hardened as we are meant to.
He doesn't act without the west backing.
If he was to be a Taliban knowing fully well he has no solid Godfather backing, he will be as quiet as a dove.
This guy will piss in his pants if he is left alone to face Iran without any weapons coming from west or fighter carrier ships on standby at sea close to isreal to protect her.

Is that not stupidity of the highest order lol

Never bite the hands that feeds you
There is no tech you want that China and Russia don't have

That helicopter crash, I still believe the west is behind it.
It is the same format they used in blowing people's phones up remotely that they used in blowing up Iran's former president.
The helicopter was using gps for navigation which belongs to US and not Glonass which belongs to Russia or BeiDou Navigation Satellite System which belongs to china.
Such deaths are hardly traceable to the initiator

Could you please comment on the Ghana debt restructuring and Eurobond defaults. What does this even mean for individual investors like you and I? I hope Nigeria will not suffer a similar fate in the near future? Your thoughts

Hello Gustavo.
See below explanation -
Ghana's recent debt restructuring and Eurobond default have significant implications for individual investors holding these bonds. Here are some key points to consider:

1. **Haircut on Investments**: Investors are expected to take a nominal haircut of 37% on their Eurobond holdings². This means that the value of their investments will be reduced by this percentage.

2. **Interest Rate Changes**: The restructuring offers two payment instruments with different interest rates: one with an initial 5% interest rate and another with a 1.5% interest rate². Investors will need to choose between these options based on their risk tolerance and financial goals.

3. **Debt Relief and Economic Recovery**: The restructuring aims to provide significant cash flow and debt stock relief to support Ghana's economic recovery¹. This could potentially stabilize the country's economy in the long run, which might positively impact the value of the restructured bonds.

4. **IMF Program**: The restructuring is part of a broader IMF-financed program aimed at bolstering Ghana's macroeconomic stability¹. This program includes measures to improve fiscal responsibility and investor confidence, which could benefit bondholders in the long term.

5. **Risk and Uncertainty**: Despite these measures, there is still inherent risk and uncertainty. The success of the restructuring depends on Ghana's ability to implement sustainable economic policies and maintain fiscal discipline¹.

For individual investors, it's crucial to carefully review the terms of the restructuring and consider consulting with a financial advisor to understand the potential risks and benefits.

Let’s break it down with a $10,000 bond investment:

Haircut on Investment:
If there’s a 37% haircut, the value of your $10,000 bond would be reduced by 37%.
Calculation: $10,000 * 0.37 = $3,700.
New bond value: $10,000 - $3,700 = $6,300.
Interest Rate Changes:
Suppose you choose the option with an initial 5% interest rate.
Annual interest earned: $6,300 * 0.05 = $315.
Alternatively, if you choose the option with a 1.5% interest rate:

Annual interest earned: $6,300 * 0.015 = $94.50.
Long-term Considerations:
The restructuring aims to stabilize Ghana’s economy, which could potentially improve the bond’s value over time.
However, there’s still risk and uncertainty, so it’s important to monitor the situation and consider consulting with a financial advisor.

"The center of gravity is shifting to the north, by diverting resources and forces [there]. We are at the onset of a new phase in the war, it requires courage, determination and perseverance from us."

Of course.
That is the plan from the onset.
Explode Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkie thereby throwing them off balance causing communication breakdown which will make fighting difficult without proper communication and organisation.
Also, a trap as been set for Hezbollah.
In the cause of running around to get a backup communication system, they may fall into the west trap and using communication systems sort for during this emergency time which the west is banking on.
They better be careful else, all their moves will be known during the Lebanon invasion

Once upon a time, a wealthy and wise father, gave his two sons, Olu and Ade, equal amounts of money to invest in the Nigeria stock market. Ade, "loves to punch numbers" to find stocks to invest in and regarded other stocks outside this as monkey hunting and gambling. Olu on the other hand, enjoy picking stocks that have large money flowing in & filter social media for news.

Olu noticed stocks that met his criteria and bought them thereby turning his given money by 500%. Ade, because of the economic situation of Nigeria, kept his money because all the stocks rising are regarded MH and gambling.

Months later, their father called them together. He praised Olu for his diligence, foresight, and courage, rewarding him with additional capital to invest. "You've multiplied what was given to you," the father said proudly, "and you shall be entrusted with even greater responsibility."

Turning to Ade, the father expressed disappointment. "You played it too safe, ignoring opportunities in fear and regarding Olu as gambler. You will lose part of your investment allowance and I will give them to Olu.

Iran and all her proxies should be ashamed of themselves. There's even a report that the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon has gone blind from the effects of the pager explosion.

It was never the work of mossad.
Mossad doesn't even have such network or power.
This is purely a US/UK/Nato job.
It is an extensive network.

I am using my account to apply for them by creating a family group for them ( i am not involved since have gotten mine).
The question now is, will i click ''representative filling the form on their behalf;;? since they are still kids and can't fill it by themselves.
If that is the case, that means i will fill the Representative online form and submit, right?

Hey 🤠

Here is the embassy guidelines:

1. To schedule an appointment for you and your family members, please sign up first on usvisaappt.com.

2. Once the account was created, on ''My Dashboard'', click on ''Create New'' button in order to start the scheduling process; you will need to choose the application country, the service type, the visa category and visa class.

3. Before paying the visa fee, you will have the option to add the family members applying together with you, and to provide the personal details for each applicant. The visa fees will be calculated based on the information you provide, and you will be able to schedule appointments for each family member.

****. Please note however that some U.S. Embassies or Consulates may request the visa applicants to schedule individual appointments; in this case the option to add the family members will not appear during the process, and you will need to schedule each person separately. You will not need however to create separate accounts for each person, but use the same account as for your application.

Go to https://www.dmo.gov.ng/

Under 'Bonds,' navigate to 'Bond Issuance Calendar.' The latest one available is for Q3. You may have to wait for the release of the Q4 calendar.

Looking at the attached document, the last auction date listed is for today. Also, note that these are reopening bonds, meaning they were issued before, but the government has chosen to offer more of them.

Yes, banks and brokerage houses offer Nigerian bonds. To invest in bonds through a bank, you may need to register for a separate investment account or complete additional paperwork.

Why is it that interest rate on shorter bonds like 5 years always higher than long term years like 10 years when devaluation will have more effect on 10 years bond than 5 years bond.
Under normal condition, a 10 years bond should have a better higher interest rate to cover for years of inflation and devaluation
