Vic2023: These guys really chanced Hamas alot. Hamas didn't even do up to 1/10th of what Hezbollah is doing and they didn't wait to level that place. They have been dragging legs for a long time about invading Lebanon. They thought it will be like Hamas where their people were busy taking pictures outside of Hamas local rockets been neutralized by iron dome. Now, their citizens can feel the hot seat and running Helter skelter 3 Likes |

Olammi: I don't like agents. Have used them in the past and the outcome was not palatable. They are very costly for my pocket yet their success rate is low. I took my time to carefully study this thread since it is a do-it-yourself group and the time, sacrifice has paid off and worth it. I only spent less than 200k to get my US visa and another 200k for my Canada visa. If I had used agent, it would have been millions of nairas with so many forged documents they have used for many unknown to me which may lead to high denying rate and affect my future application due to inconsistent information with the agent own 6 Likes |

affoncad: I am not using a traveling agent. I did my Canada and US visa myself courtesy of this thread and got it. Canada 8 years and US 5 years. I am only applying for my wife to follow me on vacation. Pof is okay and my traveling experience is good also. Just hope my pof, traveling history and Canada visa can influence her own outcome too. Mille: I will say it again, remove isreal's air force and I bet you they can't stand toe to toe with Hamas not to talk of Hezbollah. Let them keep all their air defence systems, UAVs, tanks, just remove only the fighter jets and it is a game over. I don't blame them though because even the Russia/Ukraine war, the game changer is the Russians air superiority. The air force inflicts major damages to the enemies before the infantries move in to do the final clearings. Without RUAF, the war in Ukraine would have been at standstill and Russia wouldn't have gained any territory. Ukrainians are good fighters but there is little to none a good fighter can do when fighting someone above and it is the main reason Nato has not officially entered the war because they are not sure they will be able to fully starve Russia out of air control and bomb her back to stone age like Kosovo, Bosnia and Serbia wars 2 Likes |

Hello house, I plan to apply for my wife Canada tourist visa. I ticked Homemaker in the employment section since she is a stay-at-home-mum and won't like to use the unemployed option. The challenge now is that, employment letter is to be uploaded in the document section. How do I go about this? Do they expect a homemaker to be employed? Since it is another name for housewife |

Kingsnairaland: Please can we stop all these bible quoting? Not everyone believes in what you believe you know? And we all can use our religion as a reason to subdue others. To the best of my knowledge, Oduduwa and Orunmila were given South west Nigeria, part of Benin and Togo and also part of North central by their God Olodumare or Orisa nla and all they just need is to start taking these lands back since it is what their God gave them and their descendants and No one has the right to stop them and they have the right to exist and defend themselves. Hope you get that 5 Likes |

LordAdam16: Rather than default, they will print more money and pay since it is a local currency denominated investment. Agreed, it will cause more inflation which I believe they are fearing. Where the wahala dey is the dollar denominated investment since they will have to generate dollars by fire by force to pay that and that is a determinant of what the country generates as revenue unlike naira investment they can just go inside and print more papers to bail themselves out 1 Like |

If he was to be a Taliban knowing fully well he has no solid Godfather backing, he will be as quiet as a dove. This guy will piss in his pants if he is left alone to face Iran without any weapons coming from west or fighter carrier ships on standby at sea close to isreal to protect her. Kingsnairaland: That helicopter crash, I still believe the west is behind it. It is the same format they used in blowing people's phones up remotely that they used in blowing up Iran's former president. The helicopter was using gps for navigation which belongs to US and not Glonass which belongs to Russia or BeiDou Navigation Satellite System which belongs to china. Such deaths are hardly traceable to the initiator 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Gvstavo: Hello Gustavo. See below explanation - Ghana's recent debt restructuring and Eurobond default have significant implications for individual investors holding these bonds. Here are some key points to consider: 1. **Haircut on Investments**: Investors are expected to take a nominal haircut of 37% on their Eurobond holdings². This means that the value of their investments will be reduced by this percentage. 2. **Interest Rate Changes**: The restructuring offers two payment instruments with different interest rates: one with an initial 5% interest rate and another with a 1.5% interest rate². Investors will need to choose between these options based on their risk tolerance and financial goals. 3. **Debt Relief and Economic Recovery**: The restructuring aims to provide significant cash flow and debt stock relief to support Ghana's economic recovery¹. This could potentially stabilize the country's economy in the long run, which might positively impact the value of the restructured bonds. 4. **IMF Program**: The restructuring is part of a broader IMF-financed program aimed at bolstering Ghana's macroeconomic stability¹. This program includes measures to improve fiscal responsibility and investor confidence, which could benefit bondholders in the long term. 5. **Risk and Uncertainty**: Despite these measures, there is still inherent risk and uncertainty. The success of the restructuring depends on Ghana's ability to implement sustainable economic policies and maintain fiscal discipline¹. For individual investors, it's crucial to carefully review the terms of the restructuring and consider consulting with a financial advisor to understand the potential risks and benefits. Let’s break it down with a $10,000 bond investment: Haircut on Investment: If there’s a 37% haircut, the value of your $10,000 bond would be reduced by 37%. Calculation: $10,000 * 0.37 = $3,700. New bond value: $10,000 - $3,700 = $6,300. Interest Rate Changes: Suppose you choose the option with an initial 5% interest rate. Annual interest earned: $6,300 * 0.05 = $315. Alternatively, if you choose the option with a 1.5% interest rate: Annual interest earned: $6,300 * 0.015 = $94.50. Long-term Considerations: The restructuring aims to stabilize Ghana’s economy, which could potentially improve the bond’s value over time. However, there’s still risk and uncertainty, so it’s important to monitor the situation and consider consulting with a financial advisor. |
