Mikel deserves an 8. One of his best game in the SE. Ideye too played really well. Ike Uche really disappointed me, wasted too many goal scoring chances; I expected more from him. Our defence is just wacked; by far our weak point.
Anyway, we're still in it.

Jarus: Well, as usual, Nigeria will reach Semi-Finals, and most likely come back home with a medal. We have failed to qualify for semi finals only twice in all our appearances in the last 35 years, except in 96 and 98 that we didnt go for political reason and in 2012 that we didnt qualify.

Once we participate, semi final is almost a guarantee. Only in 1982 (group stage) and 2008 (quarter final) that we particiapted and didn't reach semi final. I don't see this changing. SE will reach semi-finals. We have 2 golds(1st), 4 silvers (second) and 7 bronzes (3rd) - the record medal for any country. I don't see us doing worse.
in other words, we are the most consistent team in Africa...spot on.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Pep Guardiola Confirmed As Bayern Munich Manager by emmke(m): 6:43pm On Jan 16, 2013
Actually man utd is just 7 points ahead of city, Barca 11 ahead of Athletic and Bayern 9 ahead of Lever. My point is we can't just use this season to determine which league is most competitive as it will erroneously appear to be EPL. However, when we look at the stats over the last decades, bundesliga is the most competitive. I'm not disputing that.
dayokanu: Man Utd is how many points ahead of City?

Barcelona is how many points ahead of Athletico?

Fact is Bundesliga is the most competitive league

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Pep Guardiola Confirmed As Bayern Munich Manager by emmke(m): 6:33pm On Jan 16, 2013
Metallurgist: Belief it or not, the bundesliga is the most competative league in europe, with 5 different winners in 7 yrs. The epl is 70% man u and the reamining 30 chelsea and city, laliga is 60 barca, 40 madrid, seria a is 60 juventus and the rest but in german is 4 diifent teams in 5 years, the most unpridictable league in europe
if these percentages are for this season, then is safe to say that bundesliga is 90% Bayern. 9 points ahead of Leverkusen. However, your point still stands...on average and over the yrs, bundesliga is the most competitive league.
dayokanu: Heyckenes is old almost 70 yrs. He left on his own will
[quote author=Metallurgist]ok, thanks.

Make barca comot for where them Osasuna,Bilbao and co dey and join premier league for England where chelsea(victor moses),Man city(why always me),Man U(rooney)etc make them come show there skills.
mo wi ire abi mo wi ire
lol, in your mind teams in la liga are weaker than those in the EPL? What delusion. Just some few months ago athletico madrid trashed Chelsea 4-1. Last season, bilbao beat Man utd home and away. As it stands now, all 4 teams from la liga will be progressing to the next stage of the UCL as against 2 (ok max 3, chelsea will need a miracle) from Epl. Every stat points to the fact that la liga is superior to the epl, yet u deluded epl fans keep repeating the same "Messi must come to epl to prove he is the best".
King Messi has been consistently destroying your British media over-hyped epl teams in the UCL. He doesn't need to move to your crappy epl to prove anything to y'all
SportsRe: Lionel Messi: Broken And Has Equalled 74 RECORDS by emmke(m): 7:33pm On Dec 04, 2012
Don't hate, just sit back, relax and enjoy this once in life time phenomena. Else you'll be missing out. Players like Messi come once in 50 years. I feel lucky to be a witness to this Phenomenon.
PS: I have that feeling he will win the world cup before he calls it quit with football. He is just 25.
RudySmith: and yet that "super footballer" cannot win the world cup with Argentina? I thought that since he had so many records or what not, he could win a match just playing himself against 11 players. NONSENSE!
