one thing is for sure, the younger middle belters, especially the christian ones (myself inclusive), coming up are not gonna be used and manipulated by any major tribe as in the past. Within a space of a decade, 2001-date, we've learnt alot (the bitter way though, but nonetheless we've learnt). Things will never be the same again. U-know-who had shot themselves on the foot. |

Rhino.5dm: Ol' boy. Nothing way u no hear for Nairaland.
Look at how those greedy souls are trying very hard to lump up SS with SE. The reality is that, there is a sharp contrast with what they are posting here. Even the Ikwerre man (The closest Igbo in term of dialect) will never forgive you if you call him Igbo. Days back in Rivers i tried to conversate with a freind on why they loathed the Igbos so much. . . He said, thier people were really oppressed by the Igbos and will never ever have anything to do with them. He specifically point to physical harrassment and extortion by the so-called tax collectors.
There are landlord that will never rent a house to Igbos in Rivers.
Uptil this moment as am writing, there are communities that forbid selling of land to Igbos in Rivers State. As such, you as a Igbo man ca only acquire land by proxy.
Akwa is no go area. My 13 months in that state as a youth corper thought the meaning of the phrase "otu nnege", used to refer to Igbos.
Lets just try to turn the table around for while and ask, will the Igbos ever accept the SS if they are the ones with oil? So where is this SS/SE is coming from? Greed!! i served in rivers and i noticed the same thing. Ikwerre, Ekpeye etc all sounded igbo to me but they all loathe being called igbos. Not really suprise now. |

PointB: Is is not the same pathetic thinking that made you believe that a single Igbo man represent Igbos? How many Igbos do you see on Nairaland insulting Ibibios, Annangs, Efiks, Ogoni, Ogoja, etc? You attempt to put a wedge between us and our most reliable friends and allies is infantile to say the least.
Like I said, I thought you were more intelligent, than you appear. But it seems across the Niger, such gifts are rarity! mr. Man i dont give 2 fux if u think am intelligent or not. It wont make any f**king difference. I say things the way they are. Is it a lie that igbos insult whoever disagree with them? Quit this i thought u were intelligent crap. Cos u sound more of a bigot than an intelligent person. |

manchy7531: Mr man,Please just short your mouth up.Nobody is bunching the SS with the SE because we obviously don't need you.but know that our brothers form a large majority in your co called SS from anioma to port harcourt to ogoja in cross river and akwa ibom.
If at all we need the SS it is only politically cos we shared the same political marginalization and that has be helpful in producing Nigeria's most unproductive president(black monkey).
Also no that the SS is a conglomerate of ethnic groups, the Ijaw pitched against the Itsekiri,Ibibio vs Annang, irobo against ijaw and itsekiri,(another Somalia in the waiting)
we don't need your oil we have very large reserve for future when yours finishes (One of the largest Natural Gas reserve in the world is under the belly of Atani-Osamala-Ozubulu corridor and extends to Oguta. There is also the huge oil reserve along the Ohi-Ubomiri-Mbieri-Iho corridor.)Imo,abia, ebonyi and anambra are oil tanks in the waiting
We don't need your uneducated, unproductive and lazy people who are always waiting for oil allocation from federal& oil companies.(without oil allocation cant your guy do something for yourself) why are igbos always fond of insulting whoever disagrees with u? Just listen to how u are insulting the same people u wish to form a collabo with. Simply because (s)he gave his/her opinion. Pathetic. And i really feel sorry for whoever forms an alliance with u lot. Dont even bother insultin me (something u guys are very good at) cos it wont penetrate any pore of my skin. |

manchy7531: and what has Mali, Niger,Somalia, are the rest of your desert stricken brothers done with their so called land mass? and how are you different from them?
MUMU like you,i keep telling illiterates like you, people build nations(that we have the most, which is a blessing from GOD), not oil or land mass. am sure you can ask the Taiwanese or your worst enemy the Israelis(despite their smallness, they are the most powerfully force economically, technologically and militarily in the whole of middle east).
by the way,Nigeria by land mass and population is bigger that Germany,UK and France combined together and what has the same size/population you are arguing for gotten you?NOTING!!(instead backwardness.NO thanks your disease, illiterate, poverty, famine, desert stricken race) FOOL!!!!!
By the way all the SE just need is Electricity and access to sea.with that i see the next japan or Taiwan in less than 20 yrs or less why are u calling me mumu? Lol. U are just insulting someone cos he gave his opinion, lol. The thing hurt u no be small. And uhm, the state am from has one of the lowest disease rates in nigeria. We are not doing bad in education either. U wont find a desert or any erosion-proned land there, dude. Food is in abundance there (no kidding). We transport food to your land everyday, Lol |
Politics › Re: Can The North Stand Alone? by emmke(m): 11:05am On Nov 09, 2011 |
^@point B u are more intelligent than that. Is land meant for building only? What about agriculture and the likes. Just accept that the north trumps the SE in that dept. |

phreakabit: I think they will do just fine. They have some mineral resources that is vital to the development and sustenance of a country. Just to list a few that comes to mind:
Onion Groundnut Cows Camels Gold Almajiris Terrorist Deserts Severe heat and Sun ( The Caucasins love sun tanning, so this will be good for tourism) Horses Zobo (I dont know what they call the leaves) Nunu (for export)
Kunu guinea corn ( Would make a perfect combo with nunu) Okada riders Not to forget TOMATOES too!
With everything listed above you would be Insane to think they wouldn't thrive alone . . . . . Don't forget they operate a monarchy too. lol at desert. There is huge land mass in the north. Now what percentage of that land is desert? Not more than 20%. The remain 80% is still by faaaar larger the land mass of the entire SE. Lol the SE would be grateful to have the land mass the north has, be it desert or not. Afterall is not as if the little land in the SE is any better, heck is worse. Is friging erosion-proned. i reckon some people here just say things, lies in most cases, to feel beta about themselves. |
Politics › Re: Nigerian States And Zones Ranked By Igr by emmke(m): 9:42am On Nov 09, 2011 |
Abagworo: Akwa Ibom is highly populated. It is in no way like Bayelsa. They have a population density like Anambra or Imo and I consider them the 3rd most populous State when you include diaspora. ok. But is akwa ibom population density almost the same as those of imo and anambra? I mean they seem to have larger land mass and i dont think their population is more than 6mil. |
Politics › Re: Nigerian States And Zones Ranked By Igr by emmke(m): 8:09am On Nov 09, 2011 |
from that list, it's obvious the north isn't as poor as most people are making it to be. Look at bauchi, gombe, jigawa etc all doing pretty well and if we take the population of these states into consideration, then u'd know is not all gloomy for them. But mehn, akwa ibom and bayelsa are frigging rich (considering their small population) |

^^ u choose ehn? Who do u guys think u are? U want the middle belters in your f**king collabo so that when something goes wrong tomorrow, as it most likely will, u'd blame the middle belters as that's something u guys are good at. U can shove your collabo up your arrogant as.ses. Can u imagine? They'd choose. As if we are some kind of tomatoes on display for sale. |

alj harem and auwal, good job schooling the haters here. Houses are way cheaper in the north anyway. Most parts in the south, one has to pay through the nose to live in a shack (not even as safe as most posters here are trying to make it look). It would serve them well to copy this, rather than hate. |

it's on the front page because this is what most NLers love to read: A crisis/riot in the north. U read their comments and u'd think their region is safe, like there are no kidnappers, gang rapists, ritualists, agberos harassing people, armed robbers in their region. Some of them are just Hypocrites |
