theoldpretender:I agree with you, the economy has to be diversified, even with the oil boom jonathan still borrowed, so the borrowing would have to continue till we can fund our budget by ourselves. if the president refuse to borrow, we would move from recession to depression and even oblivion if we are not careful. borrowing is therefore not the problem but is the borrowed money being used well? and diversification is the only way forward. anybody, notice that more construction are ongoing at the momemt, why is this so? could it be campaign strategy? |
they would be learners if they think that would reduce drugs abuse, how many students start taking drugs before they get in school? most of them start as a result of peer pressure they experience in school. they should just reserve the right to test any person they see and suspectd and that would actually get THE students to at least go on drugs holiday while they are atj school, because the fight against drugs cannot be fully won. |
Odobaone:I would have blame his village people o, but i wont say anything. i cant say who is doing who, but guy really cheated his village people. instead of him to work hard and make it in life, so that his village people would have a valid reason to touch him, he was busy forming science student, now his village people would be blamed for nothing. |

minus all the propaganda the man spewed, he was right on restructuring, if atiku says he would restructure nigeria that would make either a liar or ignorant. how then do we achieve restructuring? we have to get every politician running for legislative position to promise it to us, because the legislative arms is the biggest hindrance to restructuring, they are the ones who would amend the constitution to fit into the restructurinq agenda and not the president. it is however clear that they dont buy into the idea because it isnt lucrative and very difficult to execute, they just want to sleep, say i and nay and recieve their huge payment at the end. secondly, the country have t6 be prepared and ripe for restructuring, each state has to be able to generate its own revenue, else when the country is successful restructured, they would suffer it. is atiku willing or able to restructure nigeria?, that remains no question, so lets not be decieved by restructuring campaigns or promises. |
ayorinde217:AND you think and believe that atiku would restructure nigeria? let atiku deliver that as a campaign promise and i will count it as one campaign lie. nigeria is not yet ripe for restructuring, the constitution would have to be amended, coupled with resistance from the major stakeholders (senate governors and reps), for the obvious reason that it would deny them certain entitlements. the only way atiku can achieve restructuring (that's if he truly means to) is to disregard the rule of law and impose decisions on the senate, and if he sucessfully does that, restructuring would be impossible in 4 years (thats if he wants to keep to his promise of one term), but if he decides to run for 2nd tenure the amount of suffering restructuring would bring to states like jigawa, ekiti, kebbi, osun, some of the south eastern states etc would make sure he doesnt get re elected. restructing is an herculian task. |
Some Nigerians are politically and economically naive by bringing party or the president in this issue of minimum wage, its a very delicate issue because its not just about increasing it, its about being able to pay it. Truly this doesnt goes along the line of political parties so lets leave that out, its about the national problem we have. Truly a state can pay any minimum wage if its workforce is right sized, benue state for example has the third highest salary bill in nigeria, and there is no justification for that knowing the fact that benue doesnt rank amongst the richest states, such a state would easily afford any mininum wage by correcting its workforce's size, but however no governor would want to thread that path majorly because of the fear of losing electoral favour. The only way forward is if the constitution can to amended to allow each state have its own minimum wage, so then we can throw stone at the right people, because as it stand any new minimum wage would surely affect some states. |
they pay after 48banking hours, which amounts to 4-6 days. |
