Max24: So, do you believe in changing your country by cursing it or contributing your part. What alternative solution has Aisha offered to the problems of the country other than to be bitter that her candidate lost election? Is that how opposition is done in developed countries? Praying for things to get worse and Happy when it does and call it propaganda when things are going right? My believe is that we can disagree with govt without wishing the country evil. I had contributed my part. My friends also made their own contributions yet ours were not appreciated. Mark my words “ Nigeria will never work”. As long as your leaders will not stop stealing public funds, it’s not gonna work. Even in the next 50 years, e no go work. No matter how hard you work, if you keep pouring water inside a basket, it’s never gonna get filled. |

socialmediaman: The Tinubu government has just increased electricity cost for band A customers to N225 per KPH.
For context, customers in the US pay about the same cost per KPH (or cheaper) depending on the state you live in.
Energy analysts are explaining that Nigerians are willing to pay more if they have access to electricity.
Based on data from NerdWallet, the average monthly electricity cost in the US is about $137 which is about N178,000.
Are you willing to pay N178,000 monthly for electricity for a 24-hour supply? Do Ghanaians pay that much for theirs? |

Stephench: This is a big lie. Someone earning 1k in UK is better than someone earning 400k in Nigeria - current exchange rate.
People earning 1k in UK are able to save 200k naira every month. Don't argue if you've never been to Europe. The only expensive thing in Europe is rent. Once you pay the rent, the food and transportation are almost similar.
You share flats with people and share bills. Enjoy social amenities and infrastructure. Exactly |

socialmediaman: If you invest 40 million naira on a business and earn 12 million net naira profit every year (after tax and expenses), are you doing badly? I just didn’t want to respond to this but most times, businesses is Nigeria do not work out like A BC D. Besides, everybody does not have the resources or is not as lucky as you to start a successful business. I did several businesses in Nigeria. Some worked, most didn’t work. The ones that worked sustained me until I left. Lagos state government owed me N6.3m since 2010 till now. Some rich folks owed me so much. At a point, it became so difficult doing business in that country. No one to cry to. You are all on your own. If you are a contractor in Nigeria, it is obvious you engage in fraudulent activities to make money. Yes, I mean it. If you work for government, you also have your hands soiled. In most cases, you have made your money by stealing. Otherwise, it is really difficult. Now, how many people even have the opportunity to get to that level? Yes some people make money in Nigeria but many more do not. In fact, most Nigerians are saddled with the problem of food, housing, school fees, healthcare, transportation etc. And they don’t know where these monies would come from. Here, I can tell you that I have answers to all of these problems. Just name it. Yet, I am not balanced here yet. So when you see someone wishing to travel out of Nigeria to a white man’s country, just wish him luck. Do not discourage him or do bad belle for him. If he comes to you for 50k, I am sure you will not give him. You will come up with tons of excuses. So leave him to travel. Even if he spends 20m to travel, just wish him luck. Everyone will not be a successful businessman. Let me not talk about the level of insecurity, poor healthcare, inaccessible healthcare, unavailable healthcare, insincerity, unconcerned religious organizations, fraudulent governments, fraudulent leadership which borrows money to steal etc. To me, if you have a thriving business in Nigeria, then it is worth staying back or if you work in a big organization where you earn well, well as in $1,500 monthly, then you can stay. Otherwise JAPA. Nigeria is too wicked. |

I don’t understand the bad belle in some of you guys. Nigeria currently is hell and someone secured a visa and went to the UK. You are condemning his action and saying all manner of negative stuff. I know how my life was before I left Nigeria last year and I know how it is today. The two are incomparable. It is not easy abroad and I knew it before I left but it is a lot better to hustle here than in Naija. Even as I am yet to get my work permit, I still make well over 700k after my expenses here. Do you understand what that means in naija? When you’re there crying over high cost of living, my people there go to market with ease. E no concern them. Egg is 4K, rice is 80k garri is 2k yet dem no dey feel am. Bro abeg, carry your bad belle comot for road. The guy will find a job in the UK. Wish him well. If you know the number of people I have been sending 10k to in naija so far monthly, you will be shocked. May God bless his hustle. Amen 🙏 |

robosky02: We’re not happy, no money to sack Peseiro – NFF speaks on 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe
A board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Nse Essien, has said they would have sacked head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, if they could afford it.
Essien made this claim in an interview with OJB Sports following their 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The result means Peseiro’s men have taken only two points from a possible six, as they also drew 1-1 with Lesotho three days prior.
The performances have led to football fans calling on the NFF to fire Peseiro.
But Essien has explained why it would not be a straightforward decision.
He said: “The Sports Ministry who employed him were supposed to pay for their salaries. But up till now, nothing has been paid.
“If we sack the coaches now, who will pay compensation?
“Not a dime has been paid yet to this coach who earns about $70,000 a month.
“We have to respect Jose Peseiro’s contract.
“If we had the money to give to him (pay him off) we are going to relieve him. We are not happy.” Nonsense. Sack him now and owe him. Promise to pay him whenever money is available but sack him now. Even America Dey owe. |
