The Federal Road Safety has demonstrated more that 2,500 of its staff in an on going exam in one of its orientation camps in UDI Enugu state. An international informant told us that the Corp Marsahl and Chief Executive Ordered the demotion of this men from most of them working for a long as 11 years (2011) and attaining the rank of Principal Marsahl Inspector now demoted to ARC level 8, they are now placed on the same rank with the officers that joined the corps 2019. You can imagine the indiscipline in the corps. We were also told that most of this men are due for another promotion this year 2021 to level 11. The Corp Marsahl of the federal road safety has refused to follow instructions given about the Harmonization of rank. We are there for asking the people in Power call this man that thinks he is bigger than the government of the federal republic of Nigeria to explain his actions.

The long awaited appointed king (Olomu) of Omu Aran in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria triumphantly entered omu aran around 3pm on Saturday, 15th September, 2018. The people of the community have been without king for some months after the death of the former king.
The people of the community welcomed the new Olomu, Oba Alhaji Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti as he arrived from Ilorin around 3pm with long convoy.

The coronation is expected to take place on the 22nd of September, 2018 at the Olomu Palace. The presentation of the first class staff will be presented by the governor of kwara state.
Oba (Alhaji) Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti (TPL) was born into the family of Mallam and Mrs. Yusuf Amuda Adeoti Awoyinka of Ijoko Compound, Omu Aran, the Olomu-Efan ruling house on the 22nd September, 1956. He attended Saint Paul Anglican School, Omu Aran for his primary school education. He was later admitted to Government Secondary School, Ilorin. He obtained his OND, HND and PGD in Urban and Regional Planning at Kaduna Polytechnic. He also obtained MSc in Environment Management

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has stated that the mass defection of the APC members to other political parties will have no influence and cannot stop president Buhari from winning the 2019 election.

For the past few weeks, a quite huge amount of APC members has defected to other parties including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki who officially renounced his membership of APC to join PDP.

While Nigerians were still trying to savour the news of Saraki’s defection, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, yesterday officially dumped APC for PDP.
However, Bello has insisted that Buhari will be massively voted for a second term by Nigerians.

In a statement by his Director General Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor noted that the defection from APC was an “autocorrect” system as the party was getting rid of bad eggs within its rank.

The downpour which started around 4:00 p.m and lasted for four hours, also destroyed properties worth millions of Naira. The local government Councillor (Danbatta East), Abdullahi Sani Dambatta, confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday. He said the one person that lost his life died as a result of building collapse at Unguwar Makafi. He said areas affected by the disaster include Bakin Kasuwa and Abattoir area in the town. He said the local government Council chairman, Alhaji Idris Haruna Zago had visited the affected areas with a view to assessing the damage caused by the flood.

The minimum entry requirements for admission into Landmark University are credit passes in 5 subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’ Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.

Candidates applying to Landmark University should note the following:
i) Candidates must have sat for the current year Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the prescribed cut-off marks as a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities.
ii) Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme in Landmark University.
iii) Candidates who did not choose Landmark University in the current year UTME are free to apply for admission into the University
iv) In addition to the above, Landmark University conducts a Post UTME Screening Exercise for all candidates seeking admission into the University. Applicants may however, not be admitted without fulfilling the demands of the screening exercise.

On completion and submission of application payment form, a preview of the application will be displayed. Kindly verify the information provided and then proceed to make payment by clicking on the “Pay” button.

About 12 students of Osun State University reportedly collapsed while receiving lecture on Thursday, January 18.
The students who are said to be in 300 level were said to have slumped as a result of leakage of poisonous chemical.
According to Punch, some students said the gas leaked from one of the laboratories while others said they did not know the source of the chemical.
One of the students who pleaded anonymity said:
''Some 300 level students were receiving a lecture in Anatomy Department this afternoon when the incident happened. The lecture room was overcrowded and some of the students had to squat while one of them sat on an industrial fire extinguisher inside the room.”'
''I think the student sat on it for about one hour or thereabout and, unknown to him, his weight had exacted pressure on the extinguisher, causing the container to release a heavy concentration of carbon dioxide inside the already stuffy lecture room''
Vice Chancellor confirms the incident
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Labo Popoola confirmed the incident.
Popoola said some students were the cause of the incident as they sat on a cylinder of a fire extinguisher around a classroom and tampered with it.
He said, some students of our College of Health Sciences, Osogbo campus, sat on a cylinder of a fire extinguisher around a classroom. They tampered with the nozzle of the cylinder, which later “In the stampede that occurred while the students numbering about 200 were escaping to safety, some were injured, while about 20 of them who inhaled the poisonous gas were evacuated to our health centre and other hospitals by our staff''.
Popoola however said that the affected students were revived and they are all in stable condition adding that no casualty was recorded.exploded.
