I contacted some Multi-national Banks on Twitter (see screenshots in my earlier post for their responses).
UBA called and explained that they can clear the funds once I open a domiciliary account with them. I was told I don't necessarily have to have an account (Savings/Current etc).

I confirmed from Union Bank too that foreign check clearing is also not allowed any longer. So, your PayPal cheque may not sail through if that statement is true. I would rather suggest you try multinational banks like Standard Chartered and Stanbic to see if they can still handle it for now but I doubt it anyway. Otherwise, you may send it to your US bank for crediting or sell to me as I can deposit cheque into my US bank account by mere snapping the check (cheque) online with my smartphone. But the only limitation would be that PayPal has drawn the check (cheque) in your name already.

The dollar/pounds/euro restriction in Nigeria seems to be getting worse or rather more serious with this email attached below that I received lately, which shows $300 limit to online and POS spending. Someone was suggesting/thinking the GTBank dollar card may have no such limit but the restriction remains how to get cashless dollar in funding such dollar card.

I know this is over a year ago. But do you still so this @bolded?

You don't have to open a PayPal account.

Yes! That's the way to go about it.
It doesn't have to be a new email though, I use one that I opened in 2007; just make sure it is not linked with PayPal.

I opened a US domiciliary account with Gtbank recently. Took a foreign check there to be cleared this morning. I was told they stopped accepting Foreign checks.

I contacted some Banks, same story.

So, is this check useless now?

Sorry for what happened, that's normal thing with Fiverr, they will not even allow sellers to express themselves. I have had such experience when a buyer filed a dispute on PayPal and cancelled 2 of my orders that was pending clearance. My cancellation rate rose to 2% but the buyer was banned immediately. The good thing is that buyers that open dispute on PayPal are banned instantly but the bad thing is that after opening the dispute, Fiverr refunds their money to them. That is to show you that fiverr has the buyer's interest at heart more than the seller. So Bro, just move on. Wish you happy sales.

That's true. Bro. I read up online, that, if a client files a dispute via PayPal like a month after you delivered your order, and you have even cleared the funds, they will still deduct the money from your account. Your account will read minus.
If the order was $100, your account would read $-100... That's if you don't have cash in your account .

Our gigs need wider exposure. Even though they make us 'vulnerable'.

I use PayPal at the moment.
You receive the funds into your email and an exchanger buys it from you and send its equivalent to your Bank account.

Congratulations on your promotion. Just like Obasy09, you don't need 10 Clients before you are promoted; just 10 orders.
I got mine, from only about 5 or 6 clients; some are repeat clients.
