Never mind the Similarity or the differences between an Islamic bank and other Nigerian banks. The fact is that the proponents of Islamic Bank in Nigeria dont mean well for the nation. Religion is a very sensitive issue in Nigeria. The country is already too divided along religious lines for anyone to even think of widening the crack. For many who know the mindset of an ordinary Northern muslim, this portends great danger, as anything to do with their religion is 'supreme' and supercedes every other thing. Sooner or later, it will be "our Muslim bank" and "their christian Banks". And once this starts, any Muslim doing business with the "perceived" Christian banks will be seen as a traitor. One thing is certain, as soon as the Islamic Bank kicks off, Northern Muslims will shift their funds from the 'perceived' Christian Bank to the Islamic Bank, so as to cripple these Perceived Christian banks. That is the very Agenda of those behind the Islamic Bank. And if you ask him, our very Cunning, biased and fanatical CBN Gov - Sanusi is a brain behind it all. |
Am almost certain it will be Recharge Cards. The Rich, the poor, the young, the old, everyone uses recharge card as long as they own a phone. The Rich dont buy pure water, the middle class dont either and a considerable percentage of the poor dont buy pure water. |
Jonathan said Nigeria took its share of the blame for the operation’s failure. He said, “We worked with the international intelligence system. If there was success, there would have been a collective glory. Since we did not quite succeed, well, we all take responsibility.” I Strongly disagree with GEJ. There is no such thing as "Collective Glory" in Nigeria. What we have continually witnessed is FAILURES UPON FAILURES! Besides, why engage in a spurious Military assignment that you know next to nothing about? Go ask Obama and the American Tactical Military Contingent that raided and killed Osama bin Laden how many months of planning it took for the operation to be successful. Must Nigerian government continually give dumb excuses for their inefficiencies? |

This so called Mallam Sanusi is always in the news for the wrong reasons. Must he always do things without due recourse to law and order. Is he the first CBN governor? While trying to gain undue popularity for himself, he has continually taken laws into his hands. How about his trying to institute a Religious Bank and force it down on Nigerians,or is it his donating CBN funds(and indeed our money) to his "abokis" without due approval. It is High time the arrogant Mallam is called to Order! |
When will Nigeria's Public Officer holders stop washing their dirty linens in public? It is only when situations get critical that we hear these allegations publicly. Granted, the SEC woman may not be entirely clean herself, but are those probing her clean themselves? Besides, am tired of these public probes and hearings that nothing positive ever come out of them. It is only in Nigeria that a public Officer will steal N20, and a committee will be setup and paid N50 to probe the theft, and yet another committee be set up and paid N70 to "look into" the report of the initial committee... and by the end of the whole processes, Nothing dey happen! Summarily, all are avenues to steal our monies by those we put in offices. Shame! Shame!! Shame!!! ![]() |
