chigazam: @emmysam2 please is it still possible more people will be called for Public relation please...cos I have not seen or hard anybody that has been invited for the position though on the website interview sms has been sent for the position@ Chigazam, If you check NIMC website for this recruitment (www.nimcjobs.com), you will observe that Public Relation position is among the positions listed and said to have been invited for interview via SMS. (see below) I was at NIMC H/Q for my interview on Saturday 29th. I know for certain that it was the 2 of the last 3 positions listed on the portal (presently) that were interviewed. The last position was probably interviewed on sunday. Given the serial pattern NIMC are doing the interview, it is likely that the Post of Public Relations MAY have been interviewed. (It is my assumptioon though) Pls also note that not everyone that reads this thread are members who can make comments. If you have not heard anyone commenting on Public Relations position, it doesnt mean it hasnt been called up. Below is the positions called up for interview recently (as on the NIMC portal presently) : Based on performance in the aptitude tests, we are inviting qualified candidates for interviews for the following roles: Head Business Development,Head Commercial Services,Head Enforcement & Compliance,Head Regulatory,Head Inspectorate,Regulatory,Head Customer Relations Management,Head General Public Customer Care,Customer Loyalty,Internal Communication, Public Relations, Head, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Team Lead, Corporate Strategy, Organization Strategy & WorkPlans, Team lead, Knowledge Management, Team Lead, Research & Development, Medical Doctor, Nurses, Head, Human Resource Administration, Head, Staff Training & Development, Budgeting and Budgetary Control, Cash Management, Head Investment, Treasury Accountant 1, Head Stores Management, Partnership Support, Billing and Collections, Head Partnership and Support, Head Risk Assessment & Compliance Audit, Head Investigations & Special Audit, Legal Drafting & Commercial Transactions, Head, International Bilateral Relations, Head, Litigations, Head Facilities Management Services, Security Management Services, Non Capital Items Procurement Services, Head, Physical Security, Head, Human Capital, Planning Employee Dev. & Performance Mgt, HR Manager, Recruitment Services, Head, Performance Management, Manager, State Coordination, Manager, Customer Care, Local Government Coordination (SM) Successful candidates for these roles have been invited via SMS for interviews at NIMC HQ in Abuja. |
Cleopatranwa: plz wat about Ebonyi state? Am from Ebonyi n I ve nt gotten any text yet. Someone should plz help me confirm if Ebonyi was called. God plz am hoping in U, Let my phone ring with an SMS from NIMC.Amen!@ Cleopatranwa, You did specify what your invite expectation is? Is it for interview or training? But pls note that there are certain criteria used on this interview process. My opinion, is that Given the FGN nature of the job, basically Merit and Quota system are involved. The recruitment process - Interview and Training (for those positions undergoing trainings) are tied to states, and these are done serially in Alphabetical order - Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra etc. If you are from Ebonyi state(and u applied for Enrolment & Registration officer), you should have gotten invitation for Interview or training if candidates from Kaduna, lagos etc have already gotten. Given the quota system for states, if it does happen that your state(Ebonyi) had more candidtes than required slots for your state, it is likely they will drop some people. So the question is How many people made it from your state?. If a candidate is lucky that he/she is the only candidate from his/she state for a job position, the quota system pretty much favors him/her as there is greater chances that he/she will be taken even if he/she faired poorly. The quota system can be pretty dicey in Selecting the best hands, but unfortunately it is how our system works. My advise for you is to keep praying and keep ur phone alert. You will certainly get your invite (even at the last minute) if the job is yours. |
Bograd83: tnx 4 ur info do u also observe maybe dey can still call enrol n reg officer 4 interview@ Bograd83, I cant say precisely for now. But one thing is certain, The NIMC project is a massive one. Enrolment and Registration Officers are key to the success of the project. The quality and quantity of this position is thus paramount. They may need more hands as time goes, so likely that they may end up absorbing more Registration and Enrolment Officers. So my dear, if u applied for this position and u are yet to be called, Dont be too worried cos there are chances that u will eventually be called as this position will take the highest number of staff recruited. This is just my personal opinion. |
juri: @emmysam2: 6:37pm. Pls in view of what one OTUMBA77 said , do you know if there will stil be invitation for interviews on rolls not yet called and when likely?@ Juri, Honestly, i cannot say precisely if there will still be invitations for interviews for positions not yet called. But based on my personal opinion, NIMC seem to be behind schedule on the project’s kickoff date, hence they are very much in a hurry to conclude the recruitment process and commence the project. It is very likely that the Positions that they have called for interview presently are very crucial and essential for the ''take-off'' of the project, so they have to be on ground once the project starts. So they start with the crucial positions first. In other words, some positions may still be called for interview & training even after the NIMC project kicks off . So all hope is not lost if your position have not been called up for interview. ( This is my opinion, am not speaking for NIMC). It is also pertinent to say herein that ( based on my experience working with some Organisations), certain positions demands discretion in their recruitment process. These positions can be advertised to follow due process, but discretion demands they be recruited based on Management Selection or Special Recommendations. In view of this fact, certain positions may not be called for ''general'' interview given the discreet nature of their job designation. NIMC management may deem it fit to restrict these positions as the case may be. (Pls this is my assumption, i shouldnt be quoted as NIMC source). All Registration and Enrolment Officers will be called for training. Similarly, IT positions and Customers Officer positions MAY also be given training based on their job requirement. But definitely , not all positions will be called up for training. |
albahafs: AM SORRY I GAVE A WRONG INFO, BUT THAT WAS WAT D STAFF DAT USHERD US IN SAID AFTER BEEN ASKED A QUESTION AS TO WHETHER OR NT ANODA BATCH IS COMING 4 D TRAINING. AFTER THE ACCREDITATION PROCESS, NT MORE THAN 200 TRAINEES WERE AROUND. FROM ALL INDICATION ODA BATCHES R COMMING. KEEP HOPE ALIVE. MAKE UNA BP NO RISE ABEG. I WONT BE A REASON 4 SOMEONE TO GO C A DR. ONE LOVE.@ Albahafs, pls get your facts straight before you post. Your earlier posts that there wont be other trainiing batches was utterly incorrect and misleading. Pls its good u say your opinion is based on assumption if u cant authenticate it. Am glad you apologized for your earlier comment. It is rather unfortunate how this thread has taken childish and immature trend with the numbers of senseless posts emmanating. While i hv read meaningful and matured posts and contributions on this thread, i have also noticed very immatured and unwarranted posts that doesnt add value to this thread. I was at the NIMC H/Q for my interview yesterday and i took time to ask the officials questions and made pertinent observations too. For one,the recruitment process (interview and training) is done serially according to states ... Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra etc. The position of Registration @ Enrollment Officer is key for NIMC process and one that requires adequate training. In view of this fact, all candidates for that position like definitely undergo trainings. Mind you, not all positions will undergo trainings. However, as many of you that applied for that position of Enrolment & Registration Officersyet to be called for Trainings, exercise patience and dont worry as you will most likely get your invites in the course of this week. It is my opinion that very likely that virtually all those candidates for the position of Registration and enrolment Officer called for interview and Trainings have secured the NIMC job. (My credible Assumption). Permit me to use this medium to say Congratulations to you all for this position. |
pechiko: @Juri. Pls look deep into this ; "Description:Reporting to Head, State Office, the successful candidate will manage the administration of the State Office by organizing and supervising all the administrative activities to facilitate the smooth running of the State Office; he/she will also handle all human resource management functions, as well as processing all necessary documents for the commission". This is not a mere post, you can show the job description to a close friend to analyse it also. Note that I am not in any way discouraging or creating fear in you, this critical reasoning together will also help u if called for interview, cos you will be asked about your role.@ Pechiko, I largely agree with you on salient points u have made. You are on point. They are key positions organisations are very sensitive about, and are very much likely to recruit based on ''Special recommendation'' or Man-know- man as u pointed out. HR is very key. The are likely to be very selective for this position. Legal positions falls in this category too. While it is not to discourage any candidate that apply for these positions, but i it pertinent to say that candidates for these positions should be on top of their role. Be sure you know the job specifications very well. You are likely to get the job only and only if you are exceptionally good and give them reason not to drop you. Best of luck |
kentblues: please what about the remaining customer care, like customer care coperate customer and customer care officers they will call them in the next invitation. Cos the roles is remainin small ooMy earlier opinion was based on the schedule of interviewed done specifically today (which were Manager,State Coordination and Mgr, Customer Care). Incidentally, these were 2 of the last 3 positions listed for interview on NIMC portal. I dont know specifically if Customer Care Officers have been called for interview already or not. There have been list of positions for interview on the NIMC portal before the present one. But for sure, Customer Care Officer isnt amongst the ones listed presently on the portal. Head, Customer Relationship Manager; Head, General Public customer Care, Manager, Customer Care , are ones presently there and are the positions as Customer care designated in Customer Relationship Dept. |
naanamee: Hello House, pls is there any body that ws called 4 a legal position, particularly Legal Drafting and Commercial Transactions, or no one applied for this post in this forum? The role was among those ones updated on the website but am yet to hear anyone that got an invite 4 interview among those few ones that I know. Pls any one with useful info on this... Kindly share. Thanks.@ Naanamee, The position for Legal Drafting and Commercial Transaction was listed amongst positions that interview invites were said to have been sent. You should have gotten your invite by now. However, see my response to similar question on this page. (above). |
chigazam: I also applied for the position of public relation officer and has not gotten any invite pls is their any one in here that applied for same position or knows anyone that has been invited for interview?@ Chigazm and co, going by information on NIMC portal regarding interview invites (find below), it is obvious that invites for Public Relations Officers has been sent. This means u should have gotten one if you made it to the interview stage. Pls do well to use your ARN to confirm on the portal. If u made it, you will see ur interview invitation letter there. I was at NIMC H/Q for my interview today and can tell you categorically that the posts of Mgr State Coordination and Mgr Customers Care ( 2 of the last 3 positions on list below)were the positions they were interviewed today. My assumption is that: very likely, the position of Public Relations and others on the list must have been interviewed given the sequential manner NIMC operates in this recruitment process. Also, given that certain positions are commencing trainings on Monday 1st July, it is also likely that they are about to round up interview sessions( which they may tomorow). Pls this is only my assumption. I may not be totally right. Many thanks. Based on performance in the aptitude tests, we are inviting qualified candidates for interviews for the following roles: Head Business Development Head Commercial Services Head Enforcement & Compliance Head Regulatory Head Inspectorate Regulatory Head Customer Relations Management Head General Public Customer Care Customer Loyalty Internal Communication Public Relations Head, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Team Lead, Corporate Strategy Organization Strategy & WorkPlans Team lead, Knowledge Management Team Lead, Research & Development Medical Doctor Nurses Head, Human Resource Administration Head, Staff Training & Development Budgeting and Budgetary Control Cash Management Head Investment Treasury Accountant 1 Head Stores Management Partnership Support, Billing and Collections Head Partnership and Support Head Risk Assessment & Compliance Audit Head Investigations & Special Audit Legal Drafting & Commercial Transactions Head, International Bilateral Relations Head, Litigations Head Facilities Management Services Security Management Services Non Capital Items Procurement Services Head, Physical Security Head, Human Capital, Planning Employee Dev. & Performance Mgt HR Manager, Recruitment Services Head, Performance Management Manager, State Coordination Manager, Customer Care Local Government Coordination (SM) Successful candidates for these roles have been invited via SMS for interviews at NIMC HQ in Abuja. |
The Team striking force was simply wasteful, visionless and tactless. Brown Ideye was the worst culprit. Goalkeeping was OK, the Defence was fairly good but needs to be more compact( Echeijeile should be more settled when making pull outs if he overlaps, Ambrose Efe should be more confident and play like a professional he is). The Midfield played well and could have done better but for injuries. The Attack was absolutely poor. I cant remember any Super Eagles striker as useless and wasteful as Brown Ideye. Did he even score any goal? Not even against Tahiti. And he calls himself a striker. The guy called Babatunde .. wats he doing in that team? Ahmed Musa can sometimes be erratic, but he is ok. Joseph Akpalla was stage frightened. He got lost against the spanairds. Forget the 6-1 scoreline with the game against Tahiti, the striking flaws were very obvious. They couldnt bury the chances they had. Anyway, i wasnt expecting Super Eagles to beat Spain, but i didnt expect that embarrassing scoreline. 3-0? Thanks to our toothless strikers. I dont like the match would have been that easy for spain if Osaze and Moses were in the Super Eagles team. No matter how a team plays well, if they cant take their chances, the mildfield and the defence will bear the brunt. Pls,pls i dont ever want to see Brown Ideye in Super Eagles colors ever again joor. I think it high time Osaze was recalled back to the team... and perhaps Victor Anichebe. On the Average i will score the team 55% |
A middle aged housewife in Jos, the Plateau State capital is in trouble after she was caught in her matrimonial bed with another man by her husband. The woman simply identified as Gloria was caught with a neighbour, a father of three who lives some houses away from the couple when the husband returned unexpectedly at their Rukuba Road residence. The husband (names withheld) who sells clothes at the Old Bukuru Park was said to have barely left home for his business when his wife invited her man-friend, identified simply as George to come around as she was sick. According to a neighbour who was with her when she made the call and begged to be anonymous, Gloria told the man friend to buy a pack of Don-Simon and a plate of pepper soup when coming. The neighbour said: “She earlier complained of being ill. I heard her when we were sitting in front of the house telling the person on phone to bring a plate of pepper soup and a drink for her, although I never knew it was her man-friend. “When he came they went out to the woman who sells pepper soup and bought the whole pot. She told me to help her take care of the kids because she had a visitor.” Probably acting on a tip off, the husband returned home earlier than expected and caught her and her lover red handed. According to the husband, “I built a shop for her to sell provisions, so I went to the market to buy protectors to be fixed in the shop. I just came back to realise that the kids were outside and the door locked. So much for good Neighbours. My bet is that the anonymous neighbour called the woman's husband. Afteral she heard and saw all that transpired. Watch your backs for lurking neighbours when u go commiting adultery. lol |
It beats my imagination how these Nigerian Directors, Producers,Movie script writers an Actors (all put together) get their movie title from? ''STREETS OF CALABAR''? From the picture above, ''Streets of Calabar'' is likely to be ''Crime or violent'' inclined. The streets of Calabar that I very well know of and grew up in, is definitely crime and violent free. It is by no mistake that Calabar is termed as one of the most peaceful town in Nigeria. The title of the movie clearly contradicts the setting. Why create a negative and wrong impression of a town and its people in the name of acting out a script? This is why many people say Nigeria movies, its Producers and Directors are devoid of vision and creativity. In my opinion, Nigerian movies are JUNK. This movie - ''streets of Calabar'' by its muddled impression clearly depicts how junky Nigerian movies can generate to. |
bigheads: In life, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, If you say that Abati has deviated from what he is known for, good for him, Sure he has served the himself, the public and it is time to serve the government. All of us must not be onlooker at all times to criticize the government.Onlookers are any of cowards, traitors or saboteurs ......So what are you trying to say? My friend, the worst thing to happen to a man is when your conscience and integrity becomes warped! |
Goood and indeed very helpful post. If only we have more of these insightful posts on Nairaland front page (instead of Petty issues about Tonto Dikeh). |
What is it about Tonto Dikeh gaining front page for ''petty'' and most-times nonsensical issues as this? I guess a group of people have found solace in using Nairaland as a medium of promoting cheap publicity for Tonto Dikeh. Honestly, i dont have anything against Tonto Dikeh ( i dont even know her accept the frivolous things i read about her here), but it is annoying that these pettty issues dont ever fail to find their way to the front page. These kinds of undue publicity stunts are fast making Nairaland a cheap gossip forum. |
Why wont they be back? Can you seperate a local dog from shyte? ![]() |
Agreed, Boko Haram "may be" the product of poverty and social stagnation in the north. But lets face the truth,.. they should have their leaders to blame and not meccessarily blame the present government. The Nigerian situation is unique. The Bottomline is every political issue is always Religion. America may not neccessarily understand the true picture. Consider these facts? 1.The North and its Corrupt Leaders have Ruled and Ruin this country in many years than their southern counterparts. The Northern Leaders were better placed to turn around the lives of their citizens but fail to do that. Coupled with the fact that the Northern Religious doctrine encourages Class Structures that rather enslaves and enpoverish the masses... hence the situation where the gap between the rich and the poor is alarmingly wider in the North. 2. Will Boko Haram have come up had it been a Muslim North had won the last Presidential poll? No! No!! No!!! To tell you the truth, Boko Haram is nothing but a calculated attempt to bring down the present government. This agenda is very clear. 3. What are Boko Haram claims? Do their claims justify the senseless killings? Why are the killings targeted at christians? I bet anyone, If power should go back to the North and we will no longer hear of Boko Haram again. I rest my case |
No doubt, Ngozi Iweala is the best Candidate for the World Bank job. She has the Credentials and Experience. She is way ahead of her leading opponents in these regards. However, there are intrigues in World Politics and Appointments. Mind games are potential weapons in these schemes. There are loads of interests that doesnt want her on that seat. The UN offer is just one of the schemings to divert her attention from the World bank job. To scuttle her ambition for this top notch job will require lots of will power and intrigues.... And the bus has just been kicked started. She is our own. Let all Nigerians support her. (That the least we can do) |
The Thread and all the comments above are product of the Nigerian society.... A warped, degenerated and decayed populace! In my opinion, am thinking that good thread as this that should have called for sober reflections shouldnt degenerate into a war of words. Worsestill the poster got himself neck deep in the mudslinging. Leaves much to be desired. What I expected were critical analysis of the subject matter and long lasting solutions proferred. What we have here are mindbuggling insults and name callings. Does these address the issue on ground? DEFINITELY NOT! Anyone reading the thread and all the comments will defintely have a clear picture of Nigeria. Very typical of Nigerians. The leaders and the lead, the Rulers and the Ruled, the Superiors and the Subordinates are all the same! Same thing that happens in the National Assembly were serious issues needing attention are turned into verbal attacks, same in this Nairaland Forum. MAY GOD HELP US!15 ![]() |
Why is it that some threads dont have the "quote" and "like" options , which makes it difficult to quote. Any alternative? |
The Legislative arm has never been devoid of corruption. I wont be surprised once again if we witness yet another mud-slinging by both Diezani Madueke and the Senate committee. The senate probes only crop up whenever a Minister or Director General has refused to settle the Senators. The Senate probes have long become legalized means of extortions by the legislators. |
Kobojunkie: Brics seek greater power in IMF in return for extra fundsAll the BRICS' contributory funds to the IMF is just a drop in the ocean compared to what the US and Europe put on the table. If they like, they can withdraw their funds, it wont make any difference to the IMF pool. |
Callotti, Callotti, callotti. .. you are a real case! You never cease to amaze me. Am even confused about your gender. Callotti : What is this bushman griping about now? Abi you forget to suck Congo meat (Ejine) today? |
Callotti : At least she succeeded in doing something in the NORTH! She should have tried it in ANY part of SOUTHERN Nigeria. She would have been kidnapped or killed! She needs to go back to Akwa Ibom to continue her good works! CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME!!!! Boko Haram in not interested in western education or 'Chemistry' lessons. She should try to get herself reposted from the North. I am concerned about her welfare. This is no time to play "the hero" in Northern Nigeria! Ime? Get your arzzzzzze back to your village ASAP! Na who sen you message? I am soooooo not impressed o! I would have been happy if she invested her time and energy in HER own village! Callotti, you are simply unpredictable! Sometimes, your response make me laugh, sometimes they are so frank and true that they make my want to cry. And sometimes, (like the one above)they are outrightly unthoughtful. You are just like a weather! ![]() |
Tropilo: What part of Abuja are "we not complaining"?You are Right. I live in FHA (along airport Rd) and work in Asokoroko. Light situation is poor at both ends. (Maybe just a little better in Asokoro) |
Granted, China has emerged not only as a fastest growing economy but also as a world super power. But my problem is that China seem to oppose everything America proposes. In her bid to stamp her authority in International affairs, China has strategically allaigned with America's enermies and refrained from America's allies. (North korea and Iranian nuclear issues are instances). Same has been China's stance regarding World issues. It is disturbing because (in my own opinion) America has to a large extent played a dominant role in maintaining stability in the world. Global Terrorism has been on the front stage of World's politics for past decades. While America has been doing a great deal to ensure Non-Nuclear Proliferation, especially as it gets to the hands of "supposedly" dangerous nations, many opposing country has come to view America's stance as a domineering one, hence they oppose. Presently, China has emerged as America's strongest opposition. In order words, a strong threat to world peace! |
Cynthiafred67: Here in abuja we are not complaining. Not yet anyway!! Cynthiafred67, Pls which part of abuja are you that you aren't complaining about PHCN? I live FHA,along Airport Rd and work in Asokoro, the situation is same... Poor! It was better late last year and early this year. Its very poor now. Infact, we dont expect to see late at night. |
MIND GAMES... That publication isnt meant to propel Ngozi Iwela's candidature and eventual winning the job. It is strategically meant to pave the way for her to lose. No doubt, America has a stronghold on the World Bank and just "if" Ngozi Iweala can break that stronghold, the writer has just thrown it open why Ngozi Iweala shouldnt be allowed anywhere near the World Bank Presidency. America knows the way round when it comes to international politics. Pulling a string here and there is enough to turn the polls against or in favor they choose. Ngozi Iweala has an uphill task, i must say! We can only wish her the best. |
Ekans: Opel omega,ol boy,i have a friend that once used that car and he went for a deliverace service with the car.F rom the day he bought it,engine overheating became his portion and a 20liter jerrycan filled with water never left his booth. Overheating problem is common in every other cars. It is either due to Fan malfunctioning or Radiator problem (leakage or blockage). All he needed to do was either change the radiator or fix the fan |
First Question is: How do you differentiate a good car from a bad one? Durability, Reliabilty, Work rate,Cost of Maintenance(Parts), Rate of Fuel Consumption are key factors. It is important to say that, That your brand of car gave you problem doesnt neccessarily mean the same brand or brandline is bad. To tell you the truth from experience, a lot also depends on how you maintain your car and how good your mechanics are. I know someone who owns same Honda as mine and who has been complaining bitterly till i introduced him to my Honda mechanic. Also, I didnt have a good mechanic for my Peugeot and ended up spending much on the car. At a point i parked the car for over 3months after several mechanics tried to no avail and even changing the engine. Guess what? Someone recommended a electrician and he fixed it in no time. It was a minor electrical problem with a part that was less than 10k. However, I can say that most Toyota and Honda cars are good, economical and cheap to maintain. Peugeot Products are very durable, reliable and performs greatly but can be expensive to maintain.(Their Parts are expensive) I have never used a BENZ & BMW, VOLVO, but i know a couple of people who complain about cost of maintenace and high fuel consumption. But one thing is certain, Have a good mechanic / electrician who can precisely detect and fix faults of your can,and you will be sure you wont have much problem with your car. |
