camary: Ediiioooooottttt, what a write-up coming from a Nigerian. If DSTV is spending so much on the bolded, they would have packed their loads and go. This was how their MTN counterpart defrauded Nigerians on no-per second billing until GLO came onboard. Must i pay for what i didn't use? Its fraudulent as far as i'm concerned and should not be encouraged. Why didn't the GSM providers depletes our credits in our handsets even when not in use. Please, you this okija juju shrine, i dont know what you call yourself, you can make your contributions without abusing th OP or Nigerians.Good point. I was about to bring this this up. Nigeria is one of the largest market in the world, No service provider can run at a lost. These people just come here and milk out with the excuse that what is obtainable elsewhere is not possible in Nigeria. I remember paying 7k plus then to buy V-mobile line. (i know people that paid as much as 30k for same lines. The excuse then was that it was impossible to sell lines cheaper. Last time i check, same lines are going for N200 or even less. For your info, go to some countries in Africa, Blackberries are given out as free items when you shop in many shopping malls. Its only in Nigeria that everything is impossible. It bothers me when people justify unnecessary exploitations. |
There they go again |
freecocoa: Dowry in my place is #1,000 and some amount must be returned to you from it, so that one is too much gan sef.Are you saying you are worth N1000.00? I dont mean to be sarcastic, but permit me to say this... that is almost too cheap. |
Dude, hold your peace before you get hypertension. DSTV is a scam in Nigeria. And to tell you the truth, it is the government of Nigeria that is collude with DSTV to defraud Nigerians. In Many other countries (west africa) subscription by service providers are pay-as-you-go. Why is it that government agencies set up to regulate these activities arent up to their duties? Its because they are so corrupt and rather engage in colluding with these service provides to milk Nigerians and get their monthly kick-backs. Is it not recently ( after numerous complains) that DSTV allowed 2 or 3 channels to be aired without subscription. Most frustrating thing is that DSTV will yank you off air the very moment your subscription expires( even before.) And you know what, Hitv that would have been a good competitor is being strangulated by our Government. So long as our government officials are corrupt, we will continually be exploited by foreign business, period! |
Everyday way of life in the North! Marriage at the age of 16yrs was even late. N25,000 dowry plenty sef. They even pay far less in the north. How else will a man who can hardly feed himslf be able to marry as much as 4- 6 wives? |
jim jones: what the fc.uk is church? There are no such dirty phrase associated with "church". |
A-ZeD: Where will that leave you? Are you sure you are a Christian? Assuming religion is banned in Nigeria as you suggest, When you fill a form, where you have the column "Religion" what will you (in person) put? You are sure kidding me!!!! |
It is really unfair the extent people go on the internet to tarnish another person's image or career. This is sheer childish defarmatory post. Am wondering what the poster stands to gain by posting this thrash. Just maybe the story is true, Does the Poster have any moral stand to go public with it? Has the poster never done any act wworse than that? Anyway, the story is Baseless and very likely untrue. Seun, pls ensure that whatever is posted on this website is true. (Before someone engage you in acrimonous legal battle you dont know about) |
All are Terrorists groups, and that's all that Matters! |
I normally wouldnt want to criticize people's story, but there loads of "holes" in the story worth picking out. 1. Ekene dili chuckwu dont ply calabar route. 2. The said "good Samaritan" must be extremely good. not only did he carried 5 unconscious bodies to the hospital, he was very eager to cough out 250k for them to be treated. 3. Why would the robbers/ kidnappers be willing to take the risk of driving their victims all the way to a distance of abt 2hrs to calabar to dump them? Why bother when they can dump them anywhere away from their route? (i guess the robbers must be some nice guys). 4. If the poster's friend had just N6000 on him (as the poster said,) how come he was datained that long when it doesnt take much either to obtain 6k physical cash from him or from his ATM? Loads of holes in the story. |
maninmood: How come you guys always make a ghost decision! The money could only be contract capital paid into his account by a company or an individual. It could be a loan. So if you were given a loan of 4.2million, you would take 100,000naira there just for flight? As a business man, I would not spend 100k on flight if I have 4.2million, I wouldn't take that risk. I would rather allow the so called armed robbers take it away from me since its 1 in 1000 risk! No wonder most rich Nigerians end up being broke a.s/s- Mismanagement of funds! I've seen a Nigerian having a net worth of 100million and flying a first-class to Australia; absolute ridiculous!Get your facts straight. Flights from lagos to Calabar wont cost you up to N30k (at the most), And besides, with N4.2m at his disposal, why would he be willing to take the risk of a night journey if he can spend less than N60k to and fro via flight? |
gloryland: Ekene dili chukwu doesnt operate in Calabar. I doubt the authenticity of this story. Ekene doesnt have a park or terminal in Calabar. I wonder where he boarded d so called Lagos bound bus in CalabarYou are correct. I noticed that too. Ekene dili chuckwu dont ply that route, if they do... maybe they started recently. (But i doubt) |
I totally agree with poster on issues raised. It is a very very pathetic situation we have in Nigeria. Much of the bane of Nigeria's problem is that there are no clear cut Checks and Balances amongst the arms of government hence the escalating level of corruption. What we have is complete collusion on part of government officials to loot the wealth of the Nation. Legislative Officials in Nigeria have become larger than life, and assume sense of public wastages that only irresponsible government can tolerate. 1. Why do we need a Legislative Arm as large as one we have? (A quarter of the number can do same jobs even better) 2. Why dont we have a functional Public Complaint Commission or other medium to check the excesses of the Legislators? 3. In Situations where the legislature have unilaterally & unconstitutionally jacked up their salaries/entilements, what do the government agencies do to address these? 4. Why do we have so many Legislative committees with huge amounts of monies allocated to them to carry out senseless probes and other oversight functions that nothing ever comes out? (To me these committees are ways of looting the govt treasury. It is only in Nigeria that a committee will be set up and given N30 to probe why Mr A stole N20, and yet another committee will be set up and paid N50 to study the report of the initial panel's probe, and by the end of the day... Nothing). It is a pathetic situation, The legislative arm of the government that is supposed to provide a soft landing for the smooth running of government and ensure efficiency and prudency is the most corrupt arm of the government. Worst still, How do you expect corrupt officials to make laws that will eventually effect them? I dont subscribe to violence, but honestly sometimes I think a revolution that will flush out these legislative crooks will do the country some good. |
Am wondering what a man with N4.2million in his bank account be doing in a bus from Lagos to Calabar, let alone a "Night Bus". Its a very sad ordeal. Imagine the extent robbers can go to have money. Desperate Measures. |
Na wa o. Trouble in the offing. My problem with Fulani Herdsmen is that they are trouble wherever they go. What concerns them is that their cows and cattle must feed. They dont care if the animals feed on people's farm product or not. Infact, the Herdsmen are ever ready to fight the natives for even daring to complain. Much of the problem natives have with these herdsmen is that their animals graze and destroy farmlands. I dont see any reason why their state government cant create a grazing land for them in their states to avoid these incessant clashes between these herdsmen and natives of the land they go to. |
You need to have a good understanding of spiritual things to be able to answer this question. To the best of my knowledge, eating in the dream is bad. For many who doubt this, I want to ask these questions. 1. HOW ARE MANY PEOPLE INITIATED INTO WITHCRAFTS? (Ans: Mostly through food in dreams) 2. HOW ARE PEOPLE ATTACKED SPIRITUALLY? (Ans: Mostly in dreams- through spiritual foods) Same with having sex in dreams. Infact, i dont know which is more dangerous.... is it eating in the dream or having sex in the dream? My advise... change your perceptions about some dreams. Dreams are Spiritual realms. The "Spiritual" controls the "Physical". |
ytdivine: Mountain Everest. How did you know it was Mount Everest in your dream? Or did mountains carry labels? Anyway, spiritually your dream isnt good. Climbing the apex of a mountain and falling off can be likened to Attaining a height in life and crumbling. You need to cancel this and Pray that God sustain you in whatever you do and seek to attain in life. |
Nigeria is a very, very complex entity. Factors are interwoven- Religion, culture, tribe etc. Funny enough, given the natural geograghical divides in terms of Rivers Niger and Benue dividing the country, it would seemingly be easy to divide the country along these lines, but this isnt the true picture. Infact, it is "Very" unlikely to break-up Nigeria, given the hetrogeneous entity she is. Religion is a key factor here. And the religous structure of Nigeria is more complex and doesnt give room for break-up. What happens to a "christian" indigene from Borno and Nasarawa states etc, that wants to be attached to the North but wants to be associated with the predominantly Christian south? Permit me to say this, the worst thing that can ever happen to any nation is to break-up. Ask Former Russia(USSR), Former Korea, India and Pakistan, and recently- Sudan. These countries know no peace as their countries have been ravaged bt incessant wars by break-up parties. Ironically, the very issue that seems to be tying Nigeria together atimes seems to be the same issue that binding us together. For some people (regions) "the fear of no revenue from oil (in the case of break-up) is the beginning of wisdom." |
Uche2005: 75% of Nigerian, do not like Jonathan Goodluck. What do you stand to benefit from this kind of thread? Besides, where did you get your data from? So silly! |
bilms: THE REAL PARASITES IN NIGERIAGoing by your opinion above, last time i checked, these are more predominant in the Northern parts of Nigeria. Your points 1 & 3 resemble the Almajiri class structure. Your point 2 is very typical of Northern political elites( OR is there any other political elites that has exploited & stolen the Nigerian wealth more other than the Northern elites?). So where does these leave us? ..... The North! ![]() |
I disagree. Can GEJ and Tukur stand where Atiku stands in politics. GEJ was only lucky than the North shot themselves in the leg by fielding more than a candidate in the last election, and the East support him. |
bittyend: I believe in God but I don't believe in religion. Is there any correllation between God and Religion? If Yes, then your statement is silly. |
I throw up each time i hear Nigeria's idea of Revamping the railway system in Nigeria. Has any one seen the recent trains they purchased for this project? 1975 Indian "Junk" Technology trains! Whereas economies have gone so far in railway systems ( with China recently launching 520km/hr speed trains), Nigerian government are busying themselves celebrating their backwardness. Imagine the China trains that can travel from Lagos- Abuja in about 2hrs, how drastically it will change the economy! |
How about using the funds to build sustainable industries and agricultural projects where the indigenes can be gainfully employed and reasonable revenue can be derived from these projects? |
How my people perish for lack of knowledge! Am really stunned when i read pieces in which people openly claim they dont believe in the existence of God. Regarding the Topic, Is it "NORMAL" for one to eat something in the dream that you can never eat in real life? Absolutely Abnormal. It is a sign of manipulation from the spirit world. I once had a dream that i ate akpu in my dream, whereas i dislike akpu in real life. I woke up and prayed the spiritual food out of my system with annointing oil. Siddon there dey eat food for dream say na normal. Una go soon eat shit. |
Story, Story!! Na today? Sounds like his promise that there will be constant power supply in Nigeria by end of 2011. Na 2012 we dey now, power supply don decrease greatly. |
Hey !!! You all miss the point. Where is the groom in the picture? She could possibly have been giving the 3rd Finger to her husband to be ... for doing a "disappearing act" without permission on their wedding day! ![]() |

Am not surprised about Obama's nomination. Ngozi Iweala may have the credentials & credibility for the job(and perhaps be the top notch for the job), but it doesnt work that way! There are more to International politics than mere sentiments and rhetorics. The World Bank Presidency job is a big, big positon. Diverse economic interests are at staked. Just maybe the Developed countries are willing to concede the position to an "Emerging Economy" but definitely not to any country that they believe cannot protect "the interests at Stake". Ngozi Iweala has an uphill task contending for the prestigeous job. Even if she doesnt get the job, it is noteworthy to acknowledge it in the anals of history that she was credible enough to be nominated. I stroongly wish her a big success at this Herculean ambition! |
Sabotage !!! Bunch of Criminals, they are...all of them Government Officials. Arson, that is always the true picture. Why do they always have fire outbreaks where official details are kept. Why dont we ever hear of fire outbreak in government restrooms and dinning rooms? We know for certain that whatever evidences that are likely to incriminate them are gone with the wind. Corruption Continues!!! ![]() |
Ndu-chucks. Honestly, while i do understand your case for re-adressing the Almajiri system, i cant undestand the essence of your tying this to the senseless atrocities of Boko Haram. Moreso, i do not see the logical point of comparing the case of Boko Haram with MEND. MEND were a bunch of petty thieves and criminals using thier whims and caprice to extort from the government using the deplorable condition of their environment as basis of thier actions. MEND knew their limits... they rarely killed to champion thier cause. Boko Haram on the other hand are a faceless blood thirsty terrorists who dont care a shit about who gets killed. For the records, i dont subscribe to amnesty and any form of negotiations with terrorists or militants. Once you compromise with these people, they will keep asking for more. It was a wrong move on the part of FGN to negotiate with (less harmful)MEND, it will be a big blunder to negotiate with Boko Haram. |
