dustydee: With due respect sir, no one will ask you for a bribe to give you a job with NNPC. If the person is in a position to help you get a job then that person will gladly help you. And chances are that rather "sell" the position, the person will give it to a relative or friend. And by the way the ultimate "influencer" will not be below the rank of a manager. What I have seen in the past is that some youth corps members especially those serving with HR organise some of these scams. The impression a lotof people outside have of NNPC is erroneous.@ dustydee, you are quite right and we are saying the same thing. A Senior officer within can likely help you secure the job if you are qualified and underwent neccessary recruitment process in NNPC. If you read my earlier comment well, you will realised that i never said a candidate cant be helped or staff arent bribed to secure the job but these instances are likely to be situations where the candidate did apply for the job, was qualified for the job, and underwent different stages of the NNPC Recruitment stages. This is because NNPC jobs are such that their Recuitment processes are constantly being assessed by govt & other supervising agencies. Helping a Candidate who doesnt meet these requirements can backfire. Besides, all NNPC positions have reference codes, and any candidate applying for any position in NNPC is automatically assigned a Reference number for the position applied for. It is the Reference number with which the candidate will undergo all other Processes for the job. How then will a candidate who did not apply for NNPC job undergo interview and be given the job without a Reference code in NNPC database? If only some people can actually be straight forward and think less of corrupt practices and backyard deals, this argument wouldnt even be neccessary in the first place. Like you said, '' The impression a lot of people outside have of NNPC is erroneous''. |
ceejay4real: My friend just STFU!!! Na ur papa get NNPC? Smh 4 u!@ Ceejay4real or whatever you call yourself, given your comment above, i was prompted to take a cursory look at your profile. I noticed you joined Nairaland sometime in January this year. But am appalled that more than 75 percent of your posts on Nairaland has been abusive and altercative. And to think that this is just what you post, Only God knows what you do or say. In what way are you adding value to Nairaland? People like you shouldnt be on Nairaland. Have you ever taken time to ponder at your useless life? Its either you are a psychic case or you are possessed. Which ever case, you are a no good to the society. |
ceejay4real: My friend just STFU!!! Na ur papa get NNPC? Smh 4 u!Young Man, To start with, who is your friend? Do i look like your mate? What kind of demented & disgruntled species are you? You just appear from nowhere, quote my response and throw tantrum at me without making any meaningful contribution to the subject matter. Please, In what way did my comment offend you? Do you just throw stones without even looking where your stones are landing? How uncouth? Obviously, you werent trained well. Either your parents didnt do a good job OR you were just doomed to be a societal nuissance you have shown to be. Am of a candid opinion that enlightened minds (which am absolutely sure you are nowhere in the cirlce) share ideas and opinions about issues to arrive at logical conclusions... and that is what Nairaland forum is supposed to be. You cant even make a concrete sentence in good English thats why you resort to pidgin and silly abbreviations. PEOPLE LIKE YOU CAN NEVER ADD ANY VALUE TO YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY TALKLESS OF THE SOCIETY. My advise to you;- You would do yourself more harm than good when you sit & dream that ''low-lives like you'' can bribe your way to secure NNPC jobs without meeting neccessary requirements. Get a Better life !!! |
lolade123: Morning guys, what sort of graduates get employed in NNPC, is it d petroleum enginering, geology, mech, economics only.Pls kindly reply n enlighten me on d choce of course. ThanksCuts across all fields,- Medical, Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities Etc. NNPC is well departmentalised. Recruitments depends on the position and specialisation needed at any time. |
naija noni: Despite being released from the home based Super Eagles camp to sign for Manchester City in England, it has been revealed to us that Kelechi Iheanacho is yet to sign with the former English champions.Greed, Greed, Greed is written all over this boy's career ever since he shot into limelight!! I pity this boy ooo. The boy's father wants to kill the poor boy's career even before he kick-starts it. Whoever told that Gold-digger of a father that his son stands any chance at high profile -star studded Man City? At best, Man City would loan him out to a less fancied club outside England and that will be the last we will hear of him. Why not look for a Middle cadre club in England like Everton or Aston Villla where you can secure a first-team place and play your way to lime-light? Kelechi should look his father in the face and tell him that '' this is about kelechi's life and destiny, only kelechi has the final say''. Abi na by force? Kelechi's father should go and sign and play for Man City himself if loves the club that much. |
gabito4luv: please house is it possible to get a job in NNPC without advertising the said position? You mean your friend did not apply or undergo any recruitment process in NNPC and expects to secure a Big job as that of NNPC just by paying a token? Please who is a bigger fraudster... The man that is asking for money OR your friend? I always say that only the gullible and the greedy are the victims of scams. For the benefit of doubt, there are Standard procedures for employment in govt establishments. NNPC is one of the juicest govt establishment and recruitment therein are taken seriously. Freshers (Entry level) requirement is strictly First Class or Second Class Upper at the least. Second Class lower is only accepted if a candidate has a Masters OR not less than 10yrs working experience. Here, quota system also thrives. A candidate may meet the neccessary requirements, undergo the recruitment processes and still not get NNPC job - (based on quota). This is not to say that monies dont change hands in the NNPC recruitment processes. My take is that when such arises, the person asking for money to help (usually a top level officer) would have assessed and seen that the candidate has met the required qualification, undergone neccessary processes and stand a good chance of securing the job even without internal help. (in which case, the candidate may have likely secured the job even without paying). what he may have done is to influence and ensure that the candidate scales through in case where the quota system becomes competitive. I am almost certain that your friend in question does not have a First Class or Second Class Upper. He is likely not to have up to 10years working experience either. Worse still, he may not have applied for the NNPC job. Yet he believes he can secure NNPC job by paying someone? Anyway, there is no Harm in fantasizing... tell him to Dream on ! Lastly, anyone paying money to secure a job that he/she did not apply for OR is not qualified for is a big time fraudster, and deserves whatever un-palatable outcome he/she gets. |
mallamsk: if u call me a scammer, I wunt ague. But let me tell u dat d info dat u people (next to d DG) can't give to people is wot I'm givin dem. If u're really a staff (next to DG) as u said, u should kno dat d names of d next set to be call for induction has been compile since 2 weeks ago. Dat's y I gave people d no to call to comfim if their name is there. Let me also tell u dat I told everybody dat I gave d no, to make sure they tell d whole world wotever happen btw dem and d guy on dis trend (u can ask dem), dis is to prevent scamming. I also told a guy openly on dis trend nt to give money to anybody. So @felo2470(deputy DG), u can call me anytin u like. I wunt stop givin useful information to people dat need it.@Mallamsk, you actually have a point. I want to believe you tried to help with information in good faith and with clean intentions. However, i dont know how you know your contact, but i will only assess your integrity based on the fact that i can remember you did say they should not pay any money to anybody. That was a warning enough to show your intentions were clean. But If along the line, things went sour and shaddy, all you need to do is to exonerate yourself and express your regrets about it. It is natural for people to feel you havent exonerated yourself enough. In the future, dont be too quick to make such referrals for people you dont fully know or trust, else you will be getting these kinds of backlashes even when you meant well. Lastly, if you are privy to information, do well to share with your other colleagues who are desperately in need of them. Your good intent will in the end establish you. |
Teddy2010: Pls sum1 jst told me he was paid 200k plus as december salary. He is entromnt officer LG. Can any body comfirm if its true pls?Would you possibly expect them to tell you what they were paid? Have you forgotten that they are now ''insiders'' and you are not? Where are all those that were so frequent and desperate in their search for information on this forum? Have you heard from them anymore, either to confirm or refute issues? They have formed a BB clique to share information among themselves. Actually, I am not on this cadre/ position but i happen to be privy of information from a source that they were paid over 200k ( which was salary plus various bonuses). Am also told that the salary for this cadre (level8) is about 132k monthly. I do not see how passing across a simple info to people heading in same direction as you, can take away your job or salary. Selfishness is a Nigerian culture. My prayer is that as many of you that have laboured for this job are still expectant concerning it, God will surely bring your expectation to reality. Do not be dismayed, you will surely get your Appointment letters and become staff too. Let ''the BB clique'' continue to hide and hoard information, when your time comes, all the so called classified information that they are hidding shall be open before you. It will surely come to pass! Your time is near.!!!! |
Do people still attend Celestial Churches in this time and age Am just asking.I thought it was meant for the ''Dark Ages'' ![]() |
In recent times, the rate at which Nigerian Mobile subscribers are bombarded with unsolicited text message from Registered Mobile Service Providers and other unknown sources are very appalling. These text messages often require Subscribers to reply /text ‘’ YES’’ to whatever they are vendoring at a fee. Most exasperating is the fact that most of these SMS do not ''add any value'' to the Subscribers but merely meant to generate revenue for the sources. More so, much of the content of these SMS can be so meaningless, childish and annoyingly silly, that as a subscriber you are forced to start wondering how on earth they had access to your mobile number to send such ‘’junks’’. Imagine the content of an unsolicited SMS that I received recently: '' Try out today the LOVE METER to calculate whether you two are the perfect match for each other! Send your name + your partner name to 33550. N50, Ex: @ Bello + Passion. ‘’. Imagine, I should send my name and my spouse's name to a faceless individual who doesn’t know anything about me or my spouse (and who probably knows next to nothing about the intricacy of Marriage or Relationship) to tell me if I and my wife are a match. And to think that I am required to pay for this outrageous service? How annoying, childish and frustrating can these unsolicited SMS get?!!!! And they do come in various context too. Some are in form of subscriptions for Junk music from some Junk artistes, while others come in form of request for subcription for daily inspirational quotes (that anyone can access free-of-charge via Google ) As a frustrated Subscriber, just as you make frantic efforts at deleting and finding means of permanently getting rid of such unsolicited SMS, you are bombarded with yet another of such SMS from other unknown sources day in, day out. Given these frustrating trends that Subscribers are forced to contend with daily, the questions that readily comes to mind are:- 1. How do the Sources of these SMS have access to Millions of Subscribers’ mobile numbers to send such messages? 2. Are the Sources from which the unsolicited SMS emanate collaborating with Mobile Service Providers in these schemes. Is it a collusion to defraud un-suspecting subscribers of their monies as some of these SMS are such that once a subscriber replies them, the unsuspecting subscriber faces daily deduction of the unsolicited SMS charge. 3. Are the NCC, FIRS and other Regulatory bodies aware of the Billions of Naira these unsolicited SMS (scams) are generating from unsuspecting subscribers? And are these bodies on top of their jobs to ensure that not only do they protect the interests of the subscribing public, regulate the activities of these sources but also adequately tax and levy these SMS sources to generate the much needed evenue for the government. While it is acceptable to seek legitimate means of making money, it is out-rightly appalling the extent to which people tend to go to ‘’ extort’’ monies from unsuspecting subscribers all in the name of offering services that are devoid of Professionalism and lack content creativity. Unfortunately ( and worrisome too), our regulatory bodies are mere statutory bodies that are established to promote and protect interests other than those of the public. Otherwise, there aren’t acceptable reasons why the Nigerian Public should be allowed to endure the agonies these Service Providers unleash via their unsolicited SMS scams, while they smile to the bank with Billions of Naira at the detriment of the subscribers. This is a call to the Regulatory Bodies to rise to their responsibilities and put an end to these scams and unsolicited Nonsense!! |
Labakeakin: Access bank asked all the executive directors and top management officers to resigned with immediate effect. Sadly no redundancy package. Salaries weren't paid to them after 3 weeks of resigning. Cars, generators etc were taken awayfrom them.I am not saying workers shouldnt be laid off but they should be sorted out and made happy for working for years at the bank. It's sad that the board of access bank as turn a blind eye to dis injustice. I have watched Access bank attitude towards their staff over the years it's appalling and sad. Access bank staff work with fear!!the fear of the deputy managing director is the beginning of wisdom. They are insulted and tramped under. They sometimes go to work employed n return home unemployed, the DMD who plays god. It's indeed a black Christmas for Access bank executives. God in His infinite mercy guide and prosper these executives. You are talking about the Deputy MD? Abeg, the MD is worse. He runs the bank like a tin-god and with Silly ego. I know 2 Access Bank Managers who once shared with me the unbelievable fright they go through when ever the have Managers' and Regional Managers' MPR. Some of them induce themselves with substances inorder to be able to confront the MD. I hear the guy dey remove shoes fling at Managers for not being able to meet stipulated branch targets. Both MD and DMD run the Access bank Mafia style. Arrogant guys that constituted clogs to the growth of GTB when they were there. Staff of Access bank are shabbily treated and dismissed without notice. The egoistic MD prides himself that his bank will only employ 1st Class and "2nd Class upper candidates, meanwhile i hear say na 3rd class he graduated with. Please, Access bank isnt a place to work. |
kennysalami: Hello guys, please note that if u av accepted ur appointment letter and signed the non disclosure agreement, u are restricted from sharing any privileged information concerning nimc. I'm sure that is why inputs on this thread has dwindled over time.@ Kennysalami, I took the pains to read your post word for word and line by line. Very disgusting post i must say. You are such a shameless self-centred degenerate hypocrite !!!! Is that all your contribution to this thread? And to think after posting such gibberish above, you had the effrontery to add '' one love guys''. What love are you talking about when you are sowing seeds of discord and dissuading willing and well meaning people from sharing information that can help others and give solace? This same forum that u are trying to stop people from sharing info was the same that (your last post) you were asking/seeking info. You are a big selfish hypocrite. All you care about is yourself and no one else.. It is because of people like you that this country is in such low level it is. For your information, this thread is on the record as longest and most committed thread on nairaland. It is so because, there were people who were committed and showed love and sincerity to each other in sharing information ( that am sure you benefitted from). As it is, you have gotten your appointment letter, you feel you are now '' an insider'' , and people on this forum are '' the public'' abi? And you can now spit on the forum which most likely gave the pivot for securing the job, isnt it? Very typical nature of hypocrites like you!!! It would have been better you quietly desist from sharing information ( which you never had in the first place) than you coming to post that you wont share. How lowly you portrayed yourself. Thank God there are some few sincere people who got their appointment letter and have resume but still somehow find time to give information on this forum. They know better not to bite the fingers that feed them. Lastly, for as many of you who benefitted from this forum and went ahead to form a blackberry forum to stiffle this forum information.... you are all the same Degenerate Hypocrites. Please, Happy to miss you, And good riddance to low-lives like you! |
mallamsk: new people will be call for induction very soon. if u want to kno if ur name is there, drop ur email id, so that I CAN GIVE U D NO TO CALL@ Mallamsk, you arent specific when you say '' new people will be called for induction soon''. What psoitions are you talking about? Is it Still ERO or other Experienced Positions? How soon And how reliable is your source? Many Thanks. |

I cant say precisely about further interviews for any position for now. Those that have already done interview are yet to do induction/ resume. The positions that have done training/Induction are yet to resume. NIMC has been way too slow on these things. While people are speculating January 2014 for full swing resumption, one would have expected Nimc to hasten the process this December and conclude all pending matters regarding this recruitment. AS we can see, nothing seem to be happening. |
diarbolo: No 1 say any tin abt STATE COORDINATION, has any1 here bin kol for training? Cos my intv was as fa back as 6month no inf. Any1 dat has more inf pls carry me along via daudaumar95@yahoo.com.Am in this position, Nothing has been happening regarding this position after the interview.. I have been in contact with people from my batch, No one has been contacted yet. what state do you represent? You can email me on emmysam228@yahoo.com. We can share |
ely4real: .Are you kidding me?? You mean an Organisation can owe up to 3months salary and then when it decides to pay, it can pay all en-block without stating clearly what months are being paid? How then will the staff clarify / reconcile salaries paid? If you are owing x,y, z months and you decide to pay en-block & state that the salary is for z month, isnt that ridiculous? Why state that its for a month whereas its for 3months? But pardon me Ely4real, are you a staff of NIMC ? Is that how things are done there? If I should believe you, then something is very wrong in NIMC mode of operation. Hmmmmm, I reserve my comment!!! |
@ Sojiformular, I do not agree with your analysis. If the account statement uploaded by posteritychild (is actually the salary alert for Level8 ) says NOV 2013 Salary, why would you come with a contrary analysis to tell people it is for Oct /Nov salary and all what not? It is stated ''November 2013 salary'' , it would have stated Oct/ Nov 2013 salary. This is a clear case that doesnt warrant a debate. Why will you see white call it black? Are you saying there was a mistake in the credit analysis? Are you in NIMC Accounts Dept or the Bank personel that posted the Transaction? Anyway from my yrs of banking experience, a transaction analysis is always clearly stated to capture a true picture of the financial statement. And that was clearly done - as ''NOV 2013 salary''. Unless you are very very sure of your fact and can prove beyond doubt that the Banking officer that posted that transaction commited an error of ommission of not capturing the true details as ''Oct/ Nov salary'', then you dont have a point , And as such, the salary captured was for a single month of NOV 2013 as stated. Period! |
Really, we have to put all the blame on the door steps of our Regulatory Bodies. They are the causes of the inhumane treatment of their fellow countrymen by these arrogant indians. Ironically, the same Regulatory Bodies that are supposed to enforce Regulative laws to protect thier indigenes are the same people who sell them out to these Indians for selfish motives. Most of these Indian working in Nigeria as experts are actually laymen and fresh graduates. I onced worked for an Indian oil servicing firm. During my interview, we had agreed to amount i will be paid. I was told to resume and my appointment letter will be given to me and other things regularized as soon as possible. To this i complied. They kept making excuses regarding my appointment letter. I worked for 2months without pay and without appointment letter. At a point, I had to go and ask the stupid Indian woman who runs the company as the MD for my salary and Appointment letter. She then told me they dont give appointment letter to staff there and i will be paid half the salary we agreed on monthly ( i either take it or leave it). I shouted and abused her, I almost slapped her. Do i look like am desperate for peanut salary? I told her i wont collect the pay and i will rather leave and save my face than lose my integrity and accept that salary. I guess she had in the past made such threat and have people succumbed and accept her condition... That wasnt going to happen with me. I stopped working there. She sent people to call me back that she will increase her offer. i didnt bother. The problem with many Nigerian workers is that they are willing to accept anything. To many of them '' half bread is better than none''. Until Nigerian workers learn to stand up and call the bluff of these arrogant indians and lebanese, thing will continue to be this way. Please stand up to your rights... You shouldnt be enslaved in your own country by foreigners !!! I pity anyone working for indians. |
But honestly, if we fail to win our match against Iran.... sorry, we may likely be on our way out. Iran is the weakest link in that group. We must not allow them pick any point from us. Bosnia is the team to be careful against. Dzeko may seem to be slow but very deadly in arial balls. Argentina isnt palying at thier best presntly. All Nigerian players need to do is never to allow Di maria space to run his passes to Messi. To stop Argentina, we need to play dirty. But definitely Nigerian players go collect cards ooo against Argentina. |
Nigeria couldnt have hoped for a better group than this. The Good thing is that we will be playing Iran first and Argentina Last. A good win over Iran will boost their morale for a win against Bosnia. Probably by the time we play against Argentina, we would have already qualified. Lol. But seriously, we couldnt have had a better group. I just pity Ghana and Cameroon for the group they found themselves. Chances of Ghana qualifying is dicey. |
The Choice of who you want to marry is strictly personal. Though there can be advice/ counsel from close relative or friends, but ''no one'' is expected to influence your decision regarding this. As Christians, it is expected to carry your Pastors/ marriage counsellors along in the marriage process. This is only when you have (already) decided as to who you want to marry.( Not neccessarily before that decision is made). In this scenerio, you must have approached your intending partner and spoken to her and gotten her consent before informing the pastor/ church about this. Going to see your pastor before getting the girl's consent is like putting the cart before the horse. This is because the role of the pastor/church is Basically to pray for the success of the marriage process as well as give neccesary counselling. Though there have been instances where an intending male speaks to the pastor/ church concerning a female he seeks before approaching the lady.( In my opinion, this is sheer cowardize on the part of the intending male ,with the hope that the church will help convince the lady to accept him) Summarily, I do not think any Church or Pastor has the right to insist you inform him before deciding who u want to marry. You have the sole prerogative to decide on your choice. Not even your parents have a say (though they can only advice). Marriage is a very serious business. Its a decision that you and no one else can make and be ready to accept the full consequence in the future (good or bad). |
I read through all posts and noticed that only one or two people mentioned : Celine Dions' - ''My Heart will go on''. That song remains one of the best all time tracks. I can listen to that track over and over again. Same goes for Whithney Houstons- ''I will always love you''. Not to mentions all Classics by Julio Iglesias. ( I can never get tired of Julio Iglesias, one of my all time best Artists) Bruce Hornsby- The show goes on. - Mandolin Rain. Yanni- Almost a whisper -The Promise Gerald Levert - I'd give anything. Great Country songs by Vince Gills, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and Brad Paisley. |
repogirl: Nothing on suncity but the pic is up there. Abuja rent is something else, the thing don tire person. What do u mean by '' except you want to build in bushes and areas like Karu & kuje? What are you feeling like running down Karu area like that? Do you know Karu well? you Better go to karu & Lugbe to see the quality of houses in these places. I have read many comments showing discontentment with the NIMC pay most especially for the level 8 (57k). Though i havent seen or read the actual details on their APL as regards the pay, but my candid advise to all on this cadre is '' DO NOT BE DISSUADED''. Wait until you receive your actual pay. My bet is the actual pay is likely to be more than the 57k as stated on the APL. Moreso, there is high likelihood of salary review soonest. Secondly, I read that some people ( Enrolment & Registration officers) have been posted out of their prefered statse to Abuja or other states other than their choice. For many organisations and many govt agencies, when these situations arises, they normally pay inconvenient/Risk allowances as compensations to affected employees. Nimc wouldnt be an exception not to pay. That would tantamount to Injustice to humanity if they dont. Infact, they stand to face legal actions and other liabilities if they dont. If you are in this category of employees, u can almost be certain you will be well compensated. This is also hoping NIMC would expedite the process & call the Managerial positions for our Appointment Letters so we know actual pay details as contained in the APL. Finally,Let me use this opportunity to congratulate as many Enrolment & Registration Officers that have gotten thier APL. Congratulations!!! |
How did this topic find its way to front page ? Am appalled! At least the introduction could have been better packaged. Pure Junk for a front page!!! |
Surprisingly there have been claims on this thread that some people have been called up for interview on specific positions while others are yet to be called for same position. While such claims may seemingly dent a blow to the credibility of the NIMC recruitment process, I personally don’t have any doubt about the fairness on this recruitment process so far. In fact, I would like to commend the Management for a job well done so far. The process may not be 100% fair, but it has so far been above reasonable standards (compared to recruitments by other FG agencies in the past). To this end, I would like to clarify thus: 1. For anyone worrying why he or she hasnt been called for interview, the first question he/she should be asking his/herself is '' Did i Pass the test?, Did I pass very well?'' For one, am almost certain that candidates called for interview for each position was based purely on merit. I stand to be corrected if there are situations that anyone that have done interview lobbied. Based on this premise, it is likely that candidates with the best scores were called for interviews first. If you haven’t been called, it is also likely you may have passed but don’t meet the required pass level that are being called for interview presently (My opinion though). I assume other people with lower pass level in the test will be called later. 2. On the other hand, Lets not forget that, A candidate can only be called for interview only IF he/she passed the aptitude test. That a candidate wrote an exam isn’t a guarantee that he/she passed. With due respect to all candidates that wrote the NIMC Test, we all know what happened in different Centres. The free for all collaborations during the exams at various centres didn’t help matter. What many candidates didn’t know was that the Aptitude test questions weren’t numbered same. Question 2 in Candidate A’s template, may be Question 7 in candidate B’s, and same question may be Question 19 for candidate C etc. Now imagine a situation where a candidate copied all question out and answers same as .. question 1a, 2d, 3c, 4b etc and shares same with other candidates yet to write. What will happen when 60% or more candidates in a centre uses same to answer their questions? I can say for certainty this happened in my centre, same scenario may likely have played out in many other centres. Invariably, some candidates fell into this trap and went home fanning themselves that they did well in the Test, not knowing they goofed. Did anyone think the Examiners were dumb to set same questions for candidates at different days interval? 3. Am not too sure of the Examiner’s marking criteria, but sometimes most Computer based test are meant to test candidates’ I.Q. In such cases, points of reference for such I.Q Evaluations may be (a) Consistency in answering questions correctly, (b) time spent in answering each question etc. To this end, the computer may be programmed to capture & assess candidates based on these (and marks may be automatically deducted accordingly when candidates fall below par). A candidate will have to score a high mark to PASS if he/she is not consistent in ‘’Timing’’ or else marks deducted will affect him/her adversely. Am not saying these were the scoring criteria used by NIMC, but I wont be surprised if it was. However, Any candidate ( for any position) who has not been called for interview but wrote the test and is confidently sure that he/she would have passed the test (and didn’t indulge in free for all exam mal- practices and hence fall a victim of my analysis in 2 above) should be Patience and keep praying that he/she will be called for interview in next batch of call ups. The NIMC project is yet at the kick off stage. NIMC is not likely to call all candidates at once. Many more people will likely be called at every stage of the NIMC project. The Management knows what they require at every stage and will likely streamline their recruitment process and its requirement to meets its target accordingly. The good thing is that each candidate that wrote the test has a (APPTITUDE TEST) REFERENCE NO. Your test reference number is what puts you a head above anyone that didn’t write the test at any point when more hands will be needed for the project. For those that ‘’believe and can pray’’, you can use the same number as a point of reference in your prayer. ( If you didn’t cheat during the exam). Keep faith and God will answer your prayer. Best Regards. N/B; Pls Do well to visit : www. Restralrecruit.com - For the NATIONAL ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION recruitment. |
This thread is meant to seek and give information, frank advice that will help douse fears, encourage and give succor to numerous applicants hoping to secure the NIMC jobs in various departments . At some point in time on this thread, I made efforts to give advice/info and answer some questions so as to douse some worries and concerns. I am not a staff of NIMC, but having worked in various fields of endeavors, I have good experience on many issues earlier raised on this forum and I tried to explain/ answer in ways I could, but I was wrongly abused and insulted. Many other contributors have suffered similar fate. It is unfortunate that a group of contributors formed a clique to counter and make mess of other people’s opinion however genuine and credible. A contributor (Belexy) made salient opinions and genuine advise (even as an insider) but was attacked. This was absolutely unfair. So far, much of my opinions about this recruitment process have turned out true and justified. Despite my earlier resolution to opt out this thread because of the incessant tantrums and abuse on some genuine and candid advice offered by some contributors, I am however compelled to contribute this once again so as to shed more light on salient issues and reasons why there may be varied opinions on issues. Firstly, I wish to reiterate the fact that lots of people from various fields and various levels applied for these NIMC positions. There are Managers, Head of Depts/Units, Supervisors from the Banking sector, Oil and Gas, Medical, Legal, Education etc, and of course Private Organizations that applied for the NIMC job. Given the diverse orientations, variations in pays and other pertinent job related issues, these people are bound to ask, offer opinions based on where they are coming from. A Banker’s perspective regarding PAY and other terms of service may entirely differ from that of a teacher or Fresh graduate. A Banker earning over N350k monthly will definitely want to weigh options as to why he should leave his pay in the Banking field for a much more lower pay. He/she would want to consider the prospects in where he is with that of where he is leaving to (How far he/she will have grown in next 3yrs considering the options). Honestly, these are credible evaluations to make. Lets not forget that, no matter how you love your job, the bottom-line is what you take home with. No one will be utterly out of line, if he/she is much interested in his/her pay as a yardstick for taking up a job. Personally, I have a career that have spanned Private Sector, Oil & Gas and Banking, so I can better understand their point of view. In Banking, career progression is Performance driven. It is possible to rise to level of a Manager from Fresh Graduate level within 5yrs. This is almost impossible in the Civil Service. Some people are willing to make a ‘’Balance’’ between PAY/ CAREER PROGRESSION (of Banking & other sector) and JOB SECURITY (of Civil Service) , and hence are willing to quit their high pay jobs for the Civil Service. Though somehow on this thread, other people have voiced out their dismay after considering these. But that’s not a basis that they should be attacked for their opinion. With due regards, many people on this thread are Fresh graduates and many more without jobs. Their opinions may not be akin with opinions of those already working and earning high. Everyone is entitled to his /her opinion. We should learn to appreciate each other’s opinion, and not necessarily attack a genuine opinion/ concern just because it doesn’t conform with our Value judgement. Secondly, I observed that many opinions and desire for NIMC jobs and other Civil Service jobs is purely based on the ‘’illusionary’’ Job security. More people see the Civil service as a sector where they can hide and be un-productive and be rewarded with job security, hence their penchant for Civil Service job. But honestly, If anyone thinks there is job security in Civil Service any more… Sorry! The retrenched staff of NIMC and other Parastatal will tell you more. Good Enough, NIMC and some other proactive Parastatals are now ‘’Performance Driven’’. These days, we have Marketing units in Civil Service. You work hard… you Fly, You are Redundant and unproductive….You are Kicked out! No doubt, the NIMC project is an enormous one. I must commend NIMC and its Management for a thorough Recruitment exercise. They strike me as a World Class Parastatal seeking to recruit best hands for a Strategic Mission. Anyone that is given the opportunity to work with NIMC should grab it. Given, the importance of the NIMC project to National Development, I have no doubt about its Work Condition and Pay. I am of strong opinion that the staff of the Commission will be well compensated for their work. For now, there shouldn’t even be cause of fear for present staff of NIMC who feel there is disparity in pay within the Commission or they are not well paid. I am also of the opinion that all these will be adequately addressed and regularized once the project kicks off. WHAT SHOULD BE PARAMOUNT TO ALL APPLICANTS IS GETTING IN & MAKING YOURSELF RELEVANT TO THE PROJECT AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Lastly, I wish all Applicants the very Best of Luck as you undertake your NIMC recruitment process at all levels. For those of you still praying and anticipating interview/ training call ups, do not worry too much, NIMC project is a huge and continuous project. Those presently being called up for interview/trainings are strategic for the kick off stage, hence they need to be on ground before others. More hands will be needed and called up at different stages. Put your trust in God, you will surely be called (if you took and passed the Aptitude test). Best Regards. |
hegelian: I LIKE VIBING WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU FACE TO FACE COS U ARE GONNA REGRET THE DAY U WERE BORN (U WILL LOOK EVEN MORE STUPID THAN MY KITTY CAT. MU..MU LIKE U)@ Hegelian, Frankly speaking if we were to go by Rank and file, I didnt have any business on this thread. I only made comments to give explanations and douse worries when i noticed some people were agitated and needed clarifications concerning their positions. If you are diligent enough to go through all my comments on this thread, you will observe this. Alasuomowei fell out of line with his post and I bashed him for his act. He is a very smart chap, and he quickly saw he was wrong and came in line. I commend and respect him for that. And i must apologise for bashing him that hard even though it was for his good. Now you Hegelian, i have gone throw ur profile and comments ever since you joined Nairaland barely 2months ago... in just a short period on Nairaland, much of your comments have been abusive and aggressive. Typical of who u are! Firstly, I noticed it is even NIMC job that brought you to Nairaland. Secondly, I also noticed you are yet to be called for NIMC interview talkless of Training.( Your frustration is the reason you are so abusive and aggressive). Obviously, Alasuomowei that you are busy fighting his cause is far far ahead of you. Thats the reason he took my bashing in good faith and made corrections. He is a lot smarter than you. He has been interviewed and presently undergoing training... and you are still hoping to be called for interview. It would have been more beneficiary for you if you spend your time praying that NIMC will evenyually call you for Interview ( that is if u even passed the exam in first place), than waste your time ranting and abusing your elders. Am wondering how many times in your delinquent life you must have made the comments u made above to your elders and probably your parents. I pity you. Lastly, like i told you earlier, i am not your age mate. We are not even on same Level if we are to go by Rank and File. 10yrs of you working for NIMC may not even take you to my level. (Its the bitter truth) And that is...if you actually get NIMC job in first place. You better go and pray NIMC will call you for interview. And dont even bother to reply me. Am done on this thread. |
(hegelian] it looks like you are the real immature one here. please would you care to re-read your post and see how childish and silly it sounds...gushhhhhh u are really so so little. what has the guy typed or said that is low and what is there in posting personal phone numbers online if that was his wish, bros abeg grow up or atleast stop what you are smoking. osiradarada jatijati jatijati Obviously, the Chap seem a lot smarter than u are. He is a fast learner. But for you, seriously, I wont go trading words with you cos i know very very definitely we are not age mates. You are very likely not even my Last brother's age mate. Am sure you would be very apologetic about your words above if we were to meet face to face. My piece of advice for you... Rule 1. Look before you leap Rule 2. Dont go carrying someone else's cross you dont know the nature. ( It may end up a lot heavier than u imagined). |
alasuomowei: Yes oooh.,@ Alasuomowei, sorry, i dont mean to burst your bubble, but am absolutely baffled and appalled at the utterly childish and irrelevant nature some posts can be on this thread. For your information, The NIMC project is quite enormous. It is one that required Maturity, integrity, Professionalism,Credibility, Discreetion etc. Honestly, most of your post (especially the one above)falls short of these criteria. Do you think NIMC will be a kindergaton or a circus? If you were an employer, will you honestly want to employ a candidate flaunting such comments as your posts? I wouldnt think so. By the way, who goes about posting his/her phone number in a social network? Pls maintain some level of discretion on your private life. If you cant do that, how will you do with a very important job as NIMC that requires uttermost discretion? |
Am just asking.
