TravelRe: Fatal Accident On Ogun Expressway. Graphic Photos by emmysam2: 12:13pm On Jun 13, 2016
It is obvious that drivers of trucks, lorries and trailers know very well they won't be victims in cases of fatal accident with smaller vehicles. With this in mind, they care less for smaller cars and are often reckless against smaller cars.
And the drivers of smaller cars often fail to have thee facts at the back of their heads when they see these lorries and trailers.
When am driving, I take extra caution when I see a Trailer or Lorry coming. I take extra effort to horn well before overtaking.
Life is too short to waste Or stake against Aboki trailer driver who doesn't value his life talk less of yours.

All these Selective Prosecution by EFCC is ridiculous.
For Gods sake, is Amaechi not a Looter? What of Fashola and Tinubu?
Why are these ones yet to be harassed by EFCC?
Where did Buhari campaign funds come from?
Granted, the last Administration looted big time. It was on that basis that I personally wanted the last administration out of office. But I don't make sense of the biased and selective prosecution by EFCC.
Firstly, every single Nigerian is a thief. The primary motive of getting into office is to enrich themselves.
Secondly, Every politician that was in govt in the last administration stole.(Governors, Senators,Ministers etc)
Thirdly, if EFCC wants to go after looters, then they must go after all of them.

Am still trying to figure out how a "prized article " in captivity can be allowed to wander off alone in the forest, all in the name of going to fetch firewood. It doesn't add up by my rekorning. The story is half truth or not true.
Was she sent to fetch firewood alone? And with her baby too?? That would be a prelude to escape, and the Boko Haram terrorists who have held on to these girls wouldnt allow such silly loophole.
I think the girl was deliberately released for some unknown reasons.

Fond memories

Rest in peace, John Ene Okon
John Okon Ene was a highly skillful and brilliant Mildfielder. I watched him severally played along with Finidi George, Imama Amakpakabo and Celestine Nzekwer in their days with Calabar Rovers.
Infact, John Okon was the player that made Finidi shine and got called up to super Eagles then.
He also played in the star Studded Chile 87 Flying Eagles. He later played in Super Eagles shortly after Friday Ekpo exit.
So to hear his death.

PHOTOSHOPPED.
Pls take a look at the 3rd Pix. Notice the distance of the towing truck from the edge of the river? Distance is enough for the Truck to land sideways on the ground without falling into the river assuming the car being towed is heavy enough to pull it sideways.
Secondly, from the distance of the truck and the position of the towed car as shown in the 3rd pix, there no way they could have arrived on Pix 4.
How did the towed car drag the towing truck without it falling sideways?

PoliticsRe: Can #BuyNaijaToGrowNaira Save Nigerian Economy? - CNN (pics) by emmysam2: 5:41pm On Feb 18, 2016
Promoting "Buy Made in Nigeria" goods is a laudable campaign that should be adequately enforced in the face the ailing Exchange rates of Naira against the Dollar.
While Nigerians need to look inwards for their needs, the Standard Organization of Nigeria and Manufacturers Association should collaborate to ensure the standardized quality and durability of the Made in Nigeria goods.
These will be a right direction in improving our ailing economy as well as provide a needed diversification of the economy.

It is very easy to be so engrossed in touch lighting corruption that took place in past govts, while officials of the present govt will be engaged in the same act of corruption.
My advice is: while penalizing the past looters, also turn round and touch light your govt to ensure there arent looters in the present govt.

But seriously, what business did he do for GEJ that warranted such payment? Was it GEJ personal funds or public funds?
All the accused in the Arms deal are passing the buck to GEJ and he has remained silent in all these?
Its either GEJ had Clue to these Arms deals or he was indeed Clueless!
It is becoming clear that GEJ wasn't Clueless.

Jonathan should be left to enjoy his deserved peacehuh I can't believe this is coming from a sane being!
1. Does it occur to you that we are talking about $2.1 billion public funds being stolen by few?
2. Does it occur to you that some of the culprits have admitted taking the monies and indicted Jonathan?
3. Does it occur to you that our Soldiers were poorly equipped and sent to war front to combat well armed Terrorists and our soldiers and civilians were being slaughtered while Monies meant to equip the soldiers were being shared by cronies of Jonathan?
4. Does it occur to you that point 3 above tantamount to War Crime, and Jonathan can be persecuted for war crimes if any one takes up this case to international Court of Justice?
5. Does it occur to you that Olissa Mettuh has boldly claim that N400milion was paid to him by Jonathan as payment for a private deal he did for Jonathan? Does it occur to you that the source of the alleged monies was public funds and definitely not Jonathan's money?

Am greatly dismayed that people can't overcome their gullible sentiments in the face of glaring truth.
Nigeria is continually corrupt because ithe very citizens that are supposed to hold public officials accountable are the very ones defending these corrupt officials and emboldening them to engage in their practices.
So long as the government is a product of its citizenry, the people will always deserve the kind of govt they have.
SportsBetween Yaya Toure And Mikel Obi: Who Is Truly A Better Player? by emmysam2(op): 1:49am On Jan 10, 2014
The 2013 African Footballer of the Year has come and gone with Ivorien Yaya Toure winning the Award ahead of Nigeria’s John Mikel Obi. But there has been lots of cries of foul and unacceptance of the Result by many Nigerian fans who believe that Mikel Obi should have won.
The controversy as to ''who is a better player'' amongst the two players can never be brought to an end if both players are not compared individually. Given this we can used certain yardsticks (which may not be far from the normal criteria used) as a simple evaluation:

1 Average Playing Time (Club and Country)
2 Market Value
3 Total Goals scored in 2013
4 Assists made in 2013.
5 Trophies won in 2013
6 Contribution to Club- 2013 ( In a rating of 1-10. 10 being highest)
7 Contribution to National team 2013.( In a rating of 1-10)
8 Work Rate. (Rate in Percentage)
9 Creativity, Finesse, Dribbles. ( In a rating of 1-10)
10 Image Acceptability : Int’l rating. (Rate in Percentage)
11 Technicality ( In a rating of 1-10)
12 Rate of improvement 2012- 2013. (Rate in Percentage)
13 Prospect in 2014. (Rate in Percentage)

Using the above , (Be very fair in your Judgment), Between Yaya Toure and Mikel Obi, who was a better player in 2013 and more deserved the African Footballer of the Year?

Your Evaluations and comments please…..
SportsRe: Yaya Toure Is CAF African Footballer Of 2013 by emmysam2: 12:31am On Jan 10, 2014
jotey: pls wot has yaya toure won..wot did he win last season?..caf is cheating nigeria..if it was individual brilliance they used den y didnt okocha win it in 2004?
African Footballer of the Year is an Individual award, Not a ''Team'' award. Much of what Mikel won was based on team. Individually, can you say Mikel has achieved much last year? I even think Enyeama achieved much more than Mikel. Yaya has been outstanding individually for Man city and his country.
It was unfortunate that Okocha couldnt win it then when Samuel Eto was doing equally very well in Europe.
There are many criteria being used in these selections. Sometimes it might just boil down to international acceptability. They probably gave it to Eto then based on this.
As in this case, can Mikel really be accepted by the world when placed side by side with Europe's best? Certainly Not.
Imagine Mikel as African best and standing beside C. Ronaldo, Ribery and Messi.
But Yaya Toure can possibly pass and be a better representative. (My Opinion though)
SportsRe: Yaya Toure Is CAF African Footballer Of 2013 by emmysam2: 12:06am On Jan 10, 2014
Am a Nigerian, Am a Chelsea fan. For patroitism sake, I wouldnt have mind if Mikel won the AFOY. But Let us leave sentiments aside, Yaya Toure deserved it than Mikel. Haba, even a blind man can see clearly that Yaya is more resourceful and a better player than Mikel. Yaya is indispensible in Man City, whereas Chelsea can do without Mikel.
Imagine flaunting Mikel is African best to the world ! Abeg, Abeg Yaya Toure can be readily accepted by the world as AFOY than Mikel.
I keep hearing people talking about how many trophies did Yaya win last year compared to what Mikel won. African Footballer of the year is an individual award, not a team award. Individually, if we want to compare them, Yaya is way ahead of Mikel. Is it in terms of market value?, Is it in terms of team and national countribution?, Is it in terms of goals scored and assists made? Any coach will definitely certainly pick Yaya Toure ahead of Mikel Obi if he has to choose between the two.
Imagine both of them in the same team in Chelsea alongside Ramires. I can bet the money that Yaya will definitely bench both Ramires and Mikel.
Mikel should up his game and do more this year.
Thank God the awards took place in Lagos. I bet people would have cried more foul if the award was done outside Nigeria.
SportsRe: I Never Knew Mikel Could Score Goals - Mourinho by emmysam2: 9:59pm On Jan 05, 2014
Mikel is a good player, (obviously the best holding midfielder Chelsea has),but his major weakness is shooting ability. He obviously lacks shooting confidence when he goes upfront, thats why any coach will always play Ramires ahead of him. He will increase his value by redressing this areas of weakness. If only he will up his game and grow more in confidence upfront.

We've been held up for some minutes now, in a military checkpoint, reason being that a soldier confiscated the phone of a co-passenger cos she was answering a call.
Pls when did it become an offence for someone to answer a call at a military checkpoint?
@ OP, You wouldnt believe the occupational risks and hazards these soildiers face daily in the terrorism prone areas. Imagine yourself as a Soldier at a check point amidst numerous and unknown vehicles carrying unsuspecting occupants with unknown intentions and un-identified devices, and from the least suspected vehicle you are faced with terrorist gun-shots abd explosives!!! Not a palatable experience, i guess.
These soldiers are prone to these situation daily, and they have cause to suspect every electronic device carried by any passenger.
Unfortunately, these are the Perilous times we have found ourselves in this country, we have to adjust to the situations.
