well for e-books covers... Amazon has default templates for every book cover from every niche you are writing about... but sometimes people choose to design their own book cover, probably because they want to make it more creative and attractive at first glance for buyers.. Anyone goes, if you can't design a good book cover on corel draw or Photoshop, then you may use Amazons recommended book cover.. For formatting, well that was my initial issue.. but it's basically easy if you are good on msword.. the recommended font size is 12, you could make it 13 also... after writing the who book, you highlights all the text and justify it (Ctrl j) so it can be straight... Also your book should follow the format of title page, dedication and acknowledgement (optional), introduction, then a clickable of content, so that whenever each of these table of content is clicked it navigated straight to the chapter....

okay... I could just share you the link but this is all you need to know about the page formatting... you first have your title page (that should also carry your copyright declaration), then dedication (optional), introduction, a clickable table of content and then before you start your write up... Usually it's best you use font 12, but you could make it 13 at most, also you should use a spacing of 1.5 so you words can be easy to read and not conjested.. remember to highlight all your content and justify them after the write up... I think the only part you may want to know is how to have a clickable table of content... I should send you a link for a YouTube download now

Since you said Kindle does proofreading of manuscript, I'm thinking if it's possible for me to upload my manuscript first so I can possible get my errors first before getting a cover design... is that possible.. ?

Secondly can you recommend a good graphic designer for me, one that is good for cover design... note I can design myself if I choose to but I want real professional touch for my cover book..

it's very easy, had similar challenge with it earlier but scaled through, I could send you a video that would lecture you all on it... for every of your chapter ending use "page break" before entering a new one... Your table of contents must be clickable, it's advisable you use font 12, your spacing may be 1.5 but font 12 Is best and justify your work when you are through

i have just finished reading through all these pages in this thread.. started from page one, and this is my first comment... it's very educative I must say, one things stands out... one has to put in effort and not just read thread alone.. I must thank Op,. MK, he has been very very helpful, I also thank every contributor in this thread... However I have some few questions please to ask..

1. I have written my manuscript and should upload at most on Monday, is there a free editing software that can run a check through my content.. I know of copyscape, I'm just asking if there's an alternative free software

2. How has the business being lately in terms of money made, it is expected that at this lockdown, people spend more time indoors and invariably would purchase more books online..

3. I'm having issues only with the table of contents .... however I should check YouTube for tutorial but any help here could be useful.
