The father of the dead child knew that his child was dead. Jesus said she was asleep because he knew he would raise her from the dead, and when he said that girl was asleep the people present laughed because they felt he didn't know what he was saying until he proved to them that he was resurrection and life.

The first is a narration from a third party(Luke) reporting what happened Acts 9. While in Acts 22 Paul was giving his own encounter about what he saw....

The original greek word can used as both hear or understand depending on the context , they heard the voice but couldn't understand what was being said....

Muhammad was not alive to verify the Quran, the Quran was compiled during the reign of Uthman, about 20 years after Muhammad had died and Uthman and Zaid the chief editor destroyed the original manuscripts after they had edited the Quran and helped Allah to 'perfect' it, as Allah did a poor job that only humans could prefect for him.

So Muhammad never verified the Quran you have today, and there is no original Quran because it was burnt/destroyed by Uthman
