ladon1:
That you are a son, does it means that you can't server your father? hmn.
luke 15:29 answers your question.
Anyway, serving is an allien thing to Nigerians. That is why son of the soils assume office without serving their father land.
bro, these are different bibles. some say he's SERVANT OF GOD others say he's SON OF GOD. Luke 15:29 you referenced is about parables not status of Jesus. Act 3:13 talks about who Jesus is, SERVANT or SON?.

And besides, many Christians believe Jesus is God anyways. So what you talking about. Watch this from 8minutes to see the question

Besides what's the nonsense about "serving" being alien to nigerians. Anything new about it?

Acts 3:13 English Standard Version
The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.

New King James Version
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.

King James Version
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

The Message
The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his Son Jesus. The very One that Pilate called innocent, you repudiated.

All other Bibles i have wrote "servant Jesus". These are different descriptions

My question is, is Jesus servant of God or son of God ?

Let's say basics. Let me give 2 options:

Bricks right round (some 6 ft high) with gate

Some sort of barbed wire or iron right round the compound

This is just for securing the land from intruders

Okay, i see you posted this on the other thread seeking answer. Well, Muslims are humans just like you people. We are bound to have differences, in thought, conception, methodology, and even ideology. What does not change with Islam/Muslims is we all believe in the same Quran. Quran is one in its original Arabic text and that's it.

There is nothing like a verse was forgotten or removed from Quran. Quran is for past, present and future. It's a misconception among some Muslims (i:e their understandings). This is a matter of methodology. Those who believe there is or are missing verses from Quran got the wrong mandhab (methodology).

Look at it this way, if there were abrogated or missing verses in the Quran, it would have been impossible to have same copy of Quran worldwide in its original Arabic text. True or not?.

This is the verse of Qur'an that speaks of abrogation (2:106):

Sahih International
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?
The verse does not in anyway refers to verses within Quran. It's talking about previous Signs (i:e ayat, verses) in Revelations like Torah of Moses and or Injil of Jesus). The Quran is only giving more information in the verse above. It may be contradiction if we accept such silly allegation(abrogation within Quran).

Quran frowns at contradictions within it in sura Nisa(4):82

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction.
In a nutshell, i am aware of some scholars who claim some verses of the Quran are abrogated or removed. This is not appropriate. I don't care how highly they are regarded. They are simply wrong in their interpretation of 2:106. Only Allah and His messanger (Muhammad- Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) have the right to tell us what is or what is not in the Quran. It doesnt matter what a hadith says. Any hadith that says otherwise is false. Hope this answer your question.

Allah knows best

Note, if you don't know something, it would be appropriate to ask rather than making jest of religious text all over NL like you guys are doing. Thank you

This sounds like healthy civil dialogue unlike a rogue whining all over nairaland trying to impose what she perceived truth about Islam. I can't deduce anything from such discussions.

This conversation however is healthy, polite and matured despite being bumpy as some point within the discourse. And I'm not talking a lunatic attacking Muslims on every thread even though she made little uncivilized contribution here.

Keep it going.

Ok. Jazakum Allah khayran. Will love to get some titles of their books.
I dont know of any known book(s) published by them. If any, most likely with enormous political views. But I see their articles on their twisted verses of Qu'ran online. You can definitely see lots of that.

They reject sending salaams on the prophet (saw). The one we have here said it's shirk...that we invoke rosul doing that. His heretic views attract fanatic Christians on NL. If you ask them (Quraniyun) why they dont say salalahu alaiy wasalam (i:e Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) when prophet's name is mentioned, they say it's not in the Quran, therefore, not necessary according to them. Not even shias agree with them.

The one we have here said we muslims are polytheists. He doesnt call himself Muslim either. He plays tricks with it....fooling himself. He has problems with Sura 33:56.

I see no reason why this topic was not posted in the muslim only section, or is your your muslim only section now a desolate waste land of inactivity that you now post a topic that should concern only muslims in the general religious page?
Mods should please do their job and send this thread to the islamic section where it belongs.
To be honest with you it was not intentional. I thought it was in the right section.

Hope mod ( OAM4J )will move it. Please mod, kindly move this thread to Islam section if you can. Thanks
