So much talk about Love, but very few know what it is. As a word, Love has variety of meanings, it is used for mighty passion that moves the heart of God, but also it is used with such things as the fluttering of heart, an extramarital affair, even chocolate or sport. The Greek language is much richer in this respect. It has four words for Love. One is Eros: meaning love between sexes, Another is Storge meaning family love, Then there is Philia which is the affectionate human love, lastly and the most powerful is Agape; The unconditional Love, the Love that resides in the heart of God.
With the preceding it is possible to be compelled by the love of achievement of success, of a cause, etc. Respectively, i ask; What compels you? The love of a cause or the Love of God? 2 Corinthians 5:14 says ...." For the love of Christ 'constraineth' or other translation puts it as compel. It is important to note that the very nature of faith we can embrace is Love.
Agape love is considered divine because it is not the give and take kind of love, or a reciprocal love. Nah it is the love showered or the deserving and the undeserving. This kind of love never fails, though it may not always have an effect on others and change them, it most definitely affects us. WE ARE BETTER FOR LOVING!!!
