My brothers and sister, I am sorry to say but Nigeria is slowly becoming a failed state. Today is thursday august 5th or 6th, 2021. Presently I have no voters card because I see no need to own one. Moreover the process involved is too cumbersome - thinking about it alone gives me headaches. Mr president sir, nobody I know in benin city voted you into office... all my friends and family (including my foes) all voted for Atiku Abubakar. God made our parents gave birth to us as Nigerians. I remember when you were coming into office, you promised us change - we never knew that change would actually be a negative one. When ex president G.E.J left office for you, $1 was N160 but now it is going for N410 - as a result things are so expensive. Now to get a haircut is N500 (some people are barbing hair N1,000 in Benin). Transport in Benin is something else. Now the cheapest android phone, is not less than N30,000. Mr president, I remember it was during your regime that the END SARS protest happened. Nigerians let us wise up - we are tired of these politicians and their sugar coated promises they make to us during their presidential campaigns. Whoever is coming after president Buhari in 2023, is going to be as bad as president Buhari (if not worse). What about vision 20-20-20 they used to tell us in the early 2000's: NEPA light for all, education for all, employment for all. Now 2020 is long gone and nobody remembers those sugar coated promises. Just like we call white people to coach us during the olympics, so they can use their technology for our athletes... If you live in some parts of benin city, then you ought to have witnessed what happened today July 27. I received a phonecall from a family member around 5pm, that I should be home before 6:30pm, that he heard something bad was going to happen today in benin city. I was hungry and wanted to buy food at a restaurant nearby. All these people that claim to have fixed match, they used to behave somehow. There was this guy I met on livescore.cz from either Uganda, Kenya or one of these african countries. He first gave me correct score of 2-0 (from Ukraine league) and it worked. I didn't play it because the odds were too low at 6 or 7 odds (that is, too low for somebody I did not know before for that matter). It was supposed to be a pay after win fixed match, so he started asking me for "his payment" after this. He started messing with my head by telling me how afraid I was to take risks and how I did not trust him or his predictions. I challenged him on this issue, that it is possible he sent different correct scores to different clients for the same match. That it is possible I happened to be among the lucky people, that received the 2-0 prediction. Guess what? I was right all along - his next fixed match was a disaster. He gave me correct score of 4-0 that Al Ahly would win. He also told me to use my "life savings" to place this bet on Ah Ahly. He pretended to be angry, when I told him I placed the bet with only N2,000 naira (instead of listening to his advice to use as much money as possible). Being the safe gambler that I was, I didn't bet on the 4-0 correct score he gave me - instead I bet that Al Ahly would win by 4 or more goals in the -0:3 handicap market @ 10 odds to win N20,000. At the end, Al Ahly drew 1-1 and he blocked me on Whatsapp. So please OP, where is your bet slip ID for your winnings of N3.8 million naira? That Banger TV +18 poster you added to the screenshot, is covering much of the bet slip ID. Please provide it for us on nairaland, so we can know your winnings were not photoshopped

I've always known that UNIBEN is (and will always remain) a stupid university. That was how I lost my admission, because my stupid course advicer did not bring out my result. My offence? I did not do my course registration. Before this, I had applied for temporary withdrawal twice (on health grounds), so I could not check my result online or pay school fees from my portal. Thank God I am in National Open University now - final year. I was at home (and suicidal for several months) when friends told me to write JAMB again - that was when I discovered National Open University. I have said it - none of my children or grand children will go to UNIBEN
