Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has described Nigerian youths as the best in the world, lamenting that the under-privileged among them have had to struggle hard to make it in an environment without viable and equal opportunities. The governor was reacting to a statement credited to President Mohammadu Buhari saying that many Nigeria youths below age of 30 were lazy and only wait for cheap and easy way out. Governor Fayose who told the 2,300 corps members deployed to Ekiti State during the swearing in ceremony, on Monday, at Ise-Ekiti orientation camp, said that Nigerian leaders believe strongly in them, their industry and strength of character amid daunting socio-economic odds, urged them to keep hope alive as a new, younger and energetic leader would soon emerge to better their lot. Said he, “Without being immodest, I join other Nigerians to condemn the statement that undermines our youth, describing them as lazy, I rather say our youths are the best in the world ” with great determination and lack of opportunities, you have been forging ahead and struggling to make it; we believe in you , that you are the best , the entertainment industry is greatly populated by the youths and you have fetched great fortune for the country. So, it is inappropriate to say you are lazy. We need younger and energetic Nigerian as next President. I assure you of our best hospitality and protection.” Governor Fayose also said the need to advise the corps members and identify with them and made him to personally grace the occasion. He appealed to the young graduates not to be tools for election-rigging particularly in the forthcoming governorship poll in Ekiti State. ” I will never asked you to do anything that is unbecoming of Nigerian youths, the country looks up to you in the coming elections. Please don’t allow any politicians to influence you to rig including myself. ” Run away from inducement and politicians that would call your attention to do evil. You will be remembered for whatever you did. The Lord will keep all of you for me. The youths should not allow themselves to be used for thuggery or to rig elections by the politicians. “If I Ayo Fayose asked you to rig election for me, you should decline. Your parents have spent fortunes on you to be a graduate. You should not disappoint them. Those politicians will never call out their children to die. Don’t allow yourselves to be used. “Those of you that are being sworn in today will be around when the governorship election will hold in July, don’t allow yourselves to be used. Your parents expect you to return home alive, hale and hearty,” he said. http://sunnewsonline.com/fayose-to-buhari-nigerian-youths-best-in-the-world/

OP why calling her private line, for what reasons. if you can answer that then, you argument will be considered and we will continue from there |
at OP: Read it again and compare to what you wrote above: In the days following Governor Donald Duke's departure from Washington and our extraordinary conversation. I was mulling all this over and trying to figure out what it would mean should I accept the assignment when the attack began. Friends and family alerted me to a spate of articles that had begun to appear in a Nigerian online news outlet, Sahara Reporters, that were attacking me and the notion of my return to government as Finance Minister.

OP 1 question For you, Why did Sowore called her on Family line and not official Line, At least thats what she said |
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Monday charged the National Assembly to commence constitutional processes against President Muhammadu Buhari for allegedly withdrawing and spending $I billion from the Excess Crude Account (ECA) without the constitutionally required legislative appropriation. PDP in a statement in Abuja through its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan said President Buhari was aware that his unilateral spending of $496 million (N151.374 billion) from the ECA, without recourse to the legislative approval of the National Assembly, was a gross violation of the laws and constitution of Nigerian. The opposition party further said, “By this action, President Buhari has technically suspended the 1999 Constitution (as amended), plundered the inherent powers of the National Assembly as the principal institution of democratic rule, while re-enacting a sole administratorship in governance as if our nation is operating a military regime. “More disturbing is the revelation that President Buhari paid the $496 million for the purchase of military aircraft from the United States, ignoring allegations of overprice and issues concerning due process, just to achieve a political expediency of currying President Donald Trump’s support for his 2019 re-election bid. “The PDP states that President Buhari’s action amounts to a gross misconduct and betrayal of public trust because in the bid to push a personal agenda, he deliberately side-stepped statutory legislative scrutiny and acted in clear breach of section 80 (3) (4) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). “While section 80 (3) states that “no moneys shall withdrawn from any public fund of the federation, other than the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the federation unless the issues of those moneys has been authorized by an act of the National Assembly”, section 80 (4) provides that “no moneys shall be withdrawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund or any other public fund of the federation except in the manner prescribed by the National Assembly.” It also added, “The resort to falsehood, deception and secrecy in the withdrawal from the ECA and the reported $469 million payment for the military aircraft raises very serious issues regarding the integrity of the Buhari Presidency”. Ologbondiyan said, “It is shocking that President Buhari, whose administration prides on claims of transparency and zero tolerance for corruption, elected on a platform that lay claims to the height of progressivism, who boasts of the highest standards of integrity, can mundanely resort to a violent abuse of our constitution just to suit a desperate passion of seeking re-election” https://www.dailypost.ng/2018/04/23/pdp-urges-nass-sanction-buhari-withdrawal-1bn-eca/amp/

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will on April 24, 2018 attend the inauguration of the new headquarters building of Deeper Life Bible Church. The new complex is located at the Church’s old auditorium in Gbagada, Lagos. A statement from the office of the General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor William F. Kumuyi said several state governors would also join Osinbajo at the event.Among the governors are the Lagos State Governor, Ambode Akinwunmi and other dignitaries in and outside the country. In the statement, Kumuyi commended leaders and members of the Church worldwide for their contributions and patience, in the face of harsh economic realities. He said the 35,000-seat edifice and the already commissioned car park, has a bridge and traffic lights around the auditorium. While commending the contributions of leaders and members of the Church worldwide, he added that the construction lasted for a little over a decade.“Their contributions in terms of finance and human resources, despite the challenging times, have been heart-warming and praise-worthy,” he said. The General Superintendent explained: “The project is not in any way an advertisement of self or riches. It is served to accelerate the earnest fulfillment of the Great Commission. There are no riches to advertise anyway, because the resources came from all strata of membership of the church. “Everyone contributed his or her mite. It was a determination to give God the very best.”He explained: “When you read through the scriptures, you would find that tabernacles were huge edifices that evoked the aura of the Almighty.“When you read about the nature of the building that King Solomon built for God, it was magnificent and befitting of worship of the owner of the whole universe,” he said. https://guardian.ng/news/osinbajo-governors-expected-as-deeper-life-church-opens-new-headquarters/ OFFICIAL COMMISSIONING OF INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxLqLjwYZLI lalasticlala

Nigerian youths not lazy, they must vote against Buhari in 2019 – Fayose Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has called on youths in Nigeria to show President Muhammadu Buhari that they were not lazy and uneducated by voting against him in 2019, saying; “it is painful that the President could describe youths in Nigeria that are daily struggling to make a living under a harsh economy as lazy people.” Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said; “Contrary to the morale-killing comment of the President, Nigerian youths are hardworking, intelligent and enterprising. Their future was mortgaged by past leaders like President Buhari, who had everything at their beck and call as youths. I imagine the youths of today having half of the opportunities available in the 50s and 60s.” He said; “At 19, President Buhari left Secondary School to join the Army. At age 21 (two years in the army), he was commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Within his 24 years in the Army, the President was Governor of North Eastern State, Minister of Petroleum, Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Head of State. Where can our youths get such opportunity today? “Under his watch as Minister of Petroleum, N2.8 billion went missing from the accounts of the NNPC in Midlands Bank in the United Kingdom. That N2.8 billion as at that time is like $2.8 billion (over N1 trillion) now and here is he insulting the youths whose existence his likes mortgaged.” While telling the President to stop de-marketing Nigeria and its people in foreign lands, Governor Fayose reminded Nigerians how he (Buhari) said in an interview with UK Telegraph in February 2016 that some Nigerians in the United Kingdom were disposed to criminality and should not be granted asylum there. The governor, who insisted that the negative foundation the likes of President Buhari laid for Nigeria has made life impossible for the youths, asked; “As Military Governor of the North Eastern State, what difference did President Buhari make in the lives of youths in the North?” He described Buhari as an analogue President, saying; “There is no connection between him and the youths because I doubt if he can even use common android phone. One can’t really blame the President; he does not understand what is obtainable in the country anymore. That’s the reason he was still seeing West Germany and Deutschmark in 2015.” Urging the youths to use their votes to send President Buhari out of office in 2019, Governor Fayose said; “I did say before now that majority of the youths that voted for President Buhari in 2015 never knew who they were voting for because they did not experience him (Buhari) as a Military ruler. Most of them were those that were born in the 80s and they did not witness Buhari’s clueless and draconian government. “Now that our youths have seen President Buhari and he has top his cluelessness up by going to London to insult them by calling them lazy and uneducated people, they should be prepared to vote against him next year and installed a President that will value and respect them.” http://metrowatchonline.com/nigerian-youth-not-lazy-must-vote-buhari-2109-says-fayose/
