Akpakomiza2: What is your problem? Did you read the whole message? There was no ward agent who testified, only the unit agent. Show me where there was a ward or unit agent. Does ogugwa balance his reports? He always writes about pdp winning, why can't I do the opposite If I say that you're not following the tribunal but choosing what to write this is one of such by you.

Akpakomiza2: By Daily Trust Fri, 31 Jan 2025 6:02:03 WAT A key witness for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) testified at the Edo State Election Petition Tribunal on Friday, detailing instances of over-voting in alleged favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako East Local Government Area.
Appearing before the tribunal as a Polling Unit Agent, the witness demonstrated how the total number of votes cast at his polling unit exceeded the number of accredited voters recorded by the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
There's nothing I don't know about electoral matters. As you can see above, it was a mere unit agent. You see why PDP are always failing against APC. A unit witness can only testify for only his unit and not another talk less of ward or a whole LGA. Asue has failed It's not only unit agent that comes to testify ward agent also testifies. That is why I asked That you balanced your report This is the Message You're Quoting Yet you did bring the complete message

Desyno: Over voting is hard to prove because court don't recognize bvas yet. This was the same scenario in Osun where APC raised concern about over voting but could not proved it at the end of the day. this is from osun State Appeal Judgement. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had on March 24, affirmed Adeleke as the actual winner of the Osun governorship election, citing evidence from the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine and voters’ register. Ikpeazu had argued that Oyetola used incorrect polling unit results uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) back-end server at the tribunal. In its judgment yesterday, a five-man panel of the Supreme Court, led by Justice John Okoro, whose lead verdict was prepared by Justice Emmanuel Agim, held that while Oyetola argued that the presiding officers who conducted the elections in 774 polling units did not use the BVAS machine, they could not substantiate it. It said since the BVAS was the sole foundation and focal point of the appellant’s case, it was imperative that they produced the content of the BVAS in those affected polling units. According to the apex court, based on INEC regulations and guidelines, election results can only be collated if the results agree with the figures in the BVAS and the ones transmitted to the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IReV). “It is glaring that the appellants could not prove over-voting,” the court held. |

seunmsg: The witness no even get name and the story was reported by only this blog. No credible platform published anything like this and still, it was moved to the front page by the usual anti-APC moderators of Nairaland.
Anyway, Nairaland can keep up entertaining the mobs with false and biased reporting of the tribunal case. It changes nothing. The 2024 Edo governorship election has been won and lost already. I think the best thing to do is to give the right Information regarding the Teibunal, this gaslighting the OP is not the way to go. You can do better |

Based on the appeal court judgment, Amaewhule is the lawful speaker and the apex court will uphold it. Whether he represents the budget, represents nominees is not important. The assembly has been legalized and they will move for Fubara's impeachment.the die is cast The case at hand is not about Amehule legitimacy They were hoping to use this as a way in. The judgment is about Budget. It has become academic exercise |

F117nighthawk: quote author=DeLaRue post=132035023]I often wonder at the basic lack of understanding often displayed by some lawyers.
This is a recurring issue with Mr Agbakogba and Mr Falana because they often chook mouth into things outside the law that they don't really understand.
Especially Mr Falana, you see him jumping from one news station to another pontificating on every topic from international economics, to science, monetary and fiscal policies among others, and in most cases, he just misfires, showing very little knowledge of the subject matter. Yet he has convinced himself that he is an expert in everything.
Mr Agbakogba:
1. NNPCL has not set any price. As a buyer, NNPCL approached Dangote refinery, a manufacturer, on a willing buyer, willing seller basis. They negotiated and agreed a price.
ÑNPCL, then announced to potential buyers the price it would sell to them.
How does that constitute 'setting the price of petrol' in Nigeria. Petrol importers are free to sell at any price they like. Is NNPCL forcing them to sell their petrol at a stipulated price?
2. You say crude oil is a natural resource. Yes, but it stopped being a natural resource the moment the country sells to and receives payment from a 3rd party buyer.
The crude that Dangote refinery bought ceased to be a natural resource the moment the government was paid for it. And from that moment, the government can't dictate to Dangote refinery how much he can sell the byproducts of the crude.
So, any suggestion that the government, NUPRC, or NNPCL can dictate price to Dangote refinery because the crude is a natural resource is clearly wrong. Why is NNPC not allowing other private Companies to buy the fuel directly from Dangote |
