press9jatv: OSUN 2026: Ogundokun Rallies Support For Oyetola to Return to Power
An elder statesman, High Chief Abiola Ogundokun, has rallied support for return of the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, to power as governor of Osun State in 2006.
In a statement on Thursday, Ogundokun said Oyetola leadership style in his first tenure as governor was a turning point in prudent management of the scarce resources of the state and a remarkable performance in many sectors of its economy.
The Iwo born philanthropist noted that though Oyetola faced serious economic and political challenges as governor, he maintained that he "still managed to manoeuvre and deliver to the admiration of open minded Osun residents and citizens, except those in the opposition."
Ogundokun also commended Oyetola for trying his best to harmonize diverse interests in and outside his political platform, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Describing Oyetola as a patient but thorough and sound professional, he said his strength lies in running a purposeful and responsive government, which according to Ogundokun was devoid of sentiments and sectional interests.
He said Oyetola's patience and humility, "rare to find among modern day leaders," should not be mistaken for being weak, adding that what Osun needs and deserves is a responsibile leadership.
He said: "Oyetola's years of experience in the competitive private sector before he ventured into the public service, no doubt, has helped him to build a network among stakeholders, set achievable goals, demonstrate unequalled integrity and show commitment to the people.
"I really appreciate his quite demeanor and mien in the face of stiff opposition and provocation. This is what some negative elements perceive and mischievously promote as his weakness."
According to him, Oyetola in his present assignment as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy has continued to lead with distinction.
He noted that his sterling performance has earned him a well-deserved title of the Best Minister, saying: "His efforts in unlocking Nigeria’s maritime potentials and the promotion of a sustainable development in the sector have left an indelible mark on the nation."
Ogundokun, who was the National Publicity Secretary of the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN), advised the people of Osun State to support Oyetola to return to power so that the state could be repositioned for greater future achievements.
"To me as an elder and a stakeholder in the state, I believe the present season calls for a serious concern from all reasonable residents and citizens of the state to begin to think on how to return Osun to a path of recovery from its misrule. Oyetola, being a tested and trusted leader, has tremendous capacity to deliver and achieve this for us," he concluded.
High Chief Abiola Ogundokun The Obanla of Iwo and Basorun Musulum of Aiýedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa Local Government (AYEWOLA). Haaaaaaa Joke of the millennium |

The Appeal Court has not even set a date whether they will hear it or not. Again, this is a case they abandoned since 2/12/22, if you are a Court on a matter they left for 23 months, will you sit on that case again?
This is the exact reason they are running away from that APP case. No wonder they are playing to the gallery, How I wish the Appeal court fine them heavily |

press9jatv: Oyetola paid a lot of arrears of pensioners Aregbesola stopped. Oyetola built schools, Oyetola built bridges, Oyetola built inter towns roads . Oyetola renovates hospitals and health centers. Same Oyetola saved more for rainy days. Oyetola start full payment of salaries unlike the clueless fraudster Adeleke that destroyed things that’s going on fine in Osun State. This same Adeleke sacked over 10k civil servants and health workers Oyetola employed in his government. These people that he sacked are Osun indigenes. Some that did cope with health challenges died in the process. We will see in 2026. As far as I’m concerned, Adeleke will be rejected in the 2026 governorship election. Adeleke is a goner already, handwritten of defeat is written on the wall already. Can you point to 1. how many months backlogs salaries and arrears when he assume office, and many did he pay, and how many salaries arrears did he left behind. 2. 11bn refund on Aregbeshola federal road project what happened to the money 3. $20 million dollar grant for health centre's Renovation what happened to it. how many health centers did he built or renovate and equipped. 4. Workers deductions, where they paid to the Appropriate coffers, what happened to the money. 5. What is the road conditions when he assume office and when he left |

What did appeal court said concerning the high court judgement January 15 2025, APC appeal was dismissed for failure to file in their brief of arguments on the APP court judgement nullifying the election. This is totally different from PDP case. APC are only now trying to re-enlist the Appeal, which the Appeal court is yet to attend to. So at it Stand the APP high court judgement still stands |
