Poverty no good,

I have seen alot of people , even on this Nairaland ,who still think covid 19 is fake in Nigeria.
I don't blame them really, cos if they are close to doctors or medical personnels they won't think like that.

But surprisingly, these set of people still wear mask , use sanitizer and wash hand regularly..

But why are they taking precautions, when covid 19 is fake to them ?

In all the states that has it, do you see people dying or people hospitalized, it is high time we don't support irresponsibility,

Lai Mohammed may be wrong by not following rule of law for arresting the Oba Akewi, his brothers and his wife.
But many people won't take what the man said lightly and dont act or take action, talkless of our politicians that are power drunk.
If anyone listen to the audio of the poem, the man talked many unprintable words, and he boosted that he wasn't afraid of prison, but I wonder why he ran away for so long and left his family to suffer before surfacing.

But for anyone who cares to know, The poem/Ewi was sponsored by political enemies of the Lai Mohammed, and seems the man was paid heavily for that...

In the audio what the OBA akewi said will annoy anyone. And they are highlighted below
- He said any mother who born Gov oyetola of Osun state is to be praised, but any woman who born Lai Mohammed just burnt/destroy her virginal.
- He called Lai Mohammed a Thief and he should be in jail.

-He called him animal.
- He called him Arm robber.
-He called him liar..
-He accused him of collecting money from saraki when people thought he was against saraki when kwara was under saraki dynasty.
- He called him olori buruku.
-He said Buhari should remove him from his cabinet.
- He also called minister of humanitarian-Buhari concubine, a liar, a thief and she should be replaced too with a named woman from osun state

We all want freedom of press, but we wont support media people to be used to damage any character of an individual without even any fact.

I PITY THE PEOPLE WHO THINK GOVERNMENT IS LYING ON COVID 19 CASES, MAYBE THEY THINK IT PAYS GOVERNMENT TO BE WASTING MONEY ON TESTING, ISOLATION CENTRE , FEEDING AND MEDICAL ALLOWANCE, WHEN THE ECONOMY IS DOWN

No govt is really prepared for this...I pray we won't have a time when govt will be overwhelmed, and people are treated at their homes

The Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, Kabir Zubair, has said testing for COVID-19 remained a challenge in the state.

He said the state has recorded a number of suspected cases but without tests, such cases could not be ascertained to be positive or negative.

Zubair stated this on Thursday while reacting to the report by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control that only one test sample has been sent in by the state since the start of the pandemic which returned negative.


He explained that the challenge of inadequate testing led to agitation from members of the Association of Resident Doctors, who said they have been receiving suspected cases of the virus at the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja.

He said, “Although no confirmed case has been reported in Kogi State till date, a number of suspected cases have been attended to at FMC Lokoja and members of ARD are among the first to attend to these patients and as such, they might be exposed to the highly contagious COVID-19.


“The NMA is aware that they have become agitated and apprehensive in the last few months due to the community spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

“As a clinician, standard practice demands that the moment you have a clinical suspicion of infectious diseases, the ideal thing is to carry out laboratory confirmation.

“COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease responsible for the ongoing global pandemic. In Nigeria, new cases are reported daily and community spread is accelerating. This is the reason why members of ARD are agitated as testing for COVID-19 has remained a challenge in the state.”

Seems the woman is not alright mentally

Condition of corona virus patient can be any of these three:

1. Mild
2. Asymptomatic or no symptoms
3. Severe

And in any part of the world , the condition of severe is always less than 20%,
Government need to educated the illiterate population that will have, even including people who claim to go school.
People are isolated here because government don't want it to spread.
in countries that are overwhelmed, their government don't take responsibility of isolating people...most people are at home, only the critical ones are taken to hospitals, and even there may not be a bed space ,,so thats why we see people dying in their homes abroad..let us thank God , our case is not like that

I always see news and picture where our people compare coronavirus patients of Nigeria and the ones abroad. And how they conclude ,it is a hoax here..
I won't blame our people , I will blame govt ministry of information and NOA, National Orientation Agency,who can't educate people well on covid 19.

Its very easy for wife to turn the children against their Father, especially if you are not so rich and this has been the common case..
So you wonder, is this what u suffer for from wedding ceremony, footing house bills, doing naming ceremony and training your children in schools..
