Being a legend is not just about quality. Solskjaer was already a fan's favorite before 99 because of his ability to score goals from the bench.

He was the favorite of one of my school friends back then BEFORE 1999.

He is a United legend. His coaching failures can't take away from his legacy as a striker. he scored loads of goals on limited minutes, playing as a sub for several years without causing trouble.

He scored the single most important goal in our history IMO.

He is and has always been listed amongst the legends in the official website.
