Hello,
I am traveling to Canada by end of March, but I am a but unsure of how much money to take with me. I was planning to take only a small part with me and the rest to transfer it to my bank account once i arrive there.
Does the immigration officer at the border want a proof of funds again? Should I take all my money with me or a bank statement is enough? |

After I send my Passport and proof of fund again to the embassy my ECAS just updated the last line that says:
4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
Is this positive or negative news?? |

Did you receive the passport request by e-mail? Slya: Greetings people. Sorry i am just responding to this. I have been on transit the last two days. Just arrived and its good to know that most of ur querries to me have been handled already. As for my timeline/experience, i believe i shared this in here (some pages back), but i will repeat for benefit of those that do not have time to go back.
Application received at CIC Novia Scotia - 30th April 2014. Credit card charged - May 2014 PER mail - 5th June 2014 Additional Documents/Medical Request -28th October 2014 Medicals done - 30th October 2014 Additional doc received - 13th November 2014 Passport Request - 26th November 2014
The experience has been great (ofcourse it could not have been without everyone in this great house- special thanks to all the seniors). My candid advice to everyone still in this process; PLEASE learn to wear the garment of patience and always ask when not sure! Also learn to be meticulous and pay serious attention to details to avoid mistakes. Check, double check and tripple check!!! |

damkollins: For nowwww ,you are gonna need a lot of patience. Accra visa office is clearing backlogs of application from FSW 2011/2012 while also initiating FSW 2013/2014 processing with the issuance of medical requests. Depending on the mode they want to follow,FSW 2014/2015 which happens to be your stream will be next in line. From experience ,you next step is to wait for medical request from Accra just that the timing is undefined for now. Cheers. my visa office is in rome |

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office. Your application has now been placed into processing. |

Hi,
a college of mine applied for the NOC 1112 category ( same as me), but she didn't have enough money saved to support her stay. Thus her family signed a document certified by a notary that they will support her economically and give her the money if she is qualified for the program.
Would this work? Thanks. |

Hi,
I applied for NOC 1112 category this year. I send my application sometime before the 16th of May 2014 and they still haven't send me an answer. From what I can the GAP for this category is filling up quickly.
Can anyone that has applied for the same category tell me if they have got an answer yet and what to expect?
Thank you,
Eni |
