The first time break that falls during Christmas is fixed based on schools curriculum that is approved by the ministry of education,it has nothing to do with Christmas,the Xmas holiday is just for 2 days ,Xmas has a fixed date of Dec 25th,so that's why it's almost constant that the first term break falls during the Xmas period,Ramadan on the other hand has no fixed date or month in a year,we can't always temper with the school curriculum annually to make holidays for Ramadan,if for example Ramadan falls during the waec season will you advocate for a total closure of schools thereby alienating millions of school kids from the first school leaving certificate exams?

Education is under state control, they can also fix their term holidays for ramadam if they wish. Why must holidays be located around Christmas and easter alone? Don’t you think that not everyone is a Christian in Nigeria?

Schools were closed during christmas because the students/ pupils are on end of term holiday according to the official school calendar written by the federal government through the ministry of education , this means all educational syllabuses and knowledge for that particular term has treated and passed to the students. Christmas holiday itself during this period is just two days holiday just like your two days sallah holidays. Would you rather prefer the students go on repeated academic sprees without any holiday? Everything about Muslims are odd.

They will also put their end of term holiday in ramadam. If religion does not stop you thinking that christmas holidays destroys others’ peace because not everybody wants holiday in Christmas then you can never get it.

Most of that money goes to Scotland. Oil revenue is very small part of UK revenue. Tax is the bedrock of UK revenue.

Professor of Thermofluid engineering have you heard of Octain rating and sulphur and lead content? In many western countries there is Super V petrol which is more expensive than ordinary petrol. If you know this why giving people false claims?

Funny that this thread has come up just as I am dealing with fuel headache from another vehicle that is actually on its second fuel pump assembly. Look at the terrible state it is in - picture taken just last week.

OMG!!! Please stick to Dangote petrol. Don’t ever buy NNPC oil because they are not trustworthy. They are the ones who have been producing the oil that destroys car engine.

Yes, but if the 'sludged up' fuel is still in the tank and he pours in fuel cleaner and runs the mixture through his fuel lines, things are not likely to end well. A couple of years ago, the insides of my car's fuel tank rusted out after several years of use. The rust slowly mixed with sediment from fuel and a lot of other rubbish in the tank to form a muddy sludge that eventually killed the fuel pump.

The technicians had to drop the tank, empty it of all that muddy rubbish, wash it thoroughly - before reinstallation (with another fuel pump of course). I saw it all with my own two eyes. If they had run a fuel cleaner in the tank instead of carrying out the deep cleaning they did, it would have been of no use. It would probably have dissolved the sludge just enough to move it through the fuel lines to the injectors - to cause even more serious problems. I will upload the pictures one of these days if i can find them.

Sorry I just remembered how terrible Nigerian fuel quality is. This is what we do in UK where such terrible sludge does not occur in our fuel tanks. I have done this before to my diesel fuel tanks when engine fault sign was always on the dashboard. And it worked. The quality of the fuel we use in Nigeria is so low that it damages fuel tanks and the engine. No wonder I see people servicing their car quite often in Nigeria. I do that usually service my car in UK unless I have run over 20,000 miles, because the fuel quality is good. But I will not advise that high mileage before servicing in Nigeria. For the OP I think he might need to check his fuel tank to see if bad sludge is causing his car problem.

If you have sludge in your fuel tank, you would be better served trying to find out what caused it - and then fully draining the tank - instead of running some fuel cleaner of dubious value. No point running that muck through your fuel lines and possibly causing even bigger problems.

I gave that advice because he has already changed all the materials that could be causing the sludge, apart from getting good quality engine oil, and perhaps buying Dangote petrol lol.

Change the engine oil to a high grade oil. Don’t buy cheap poor quality engine oil. Then buy fuel tank cleaner. I have just forgotten the name but it helps to remove sludge in fuel tank. Make sure the tank is half full and the engine is switched on before you open the tank and pour the cleaner in it. Let the engine on for five minutes and you can switch off after that. You might have been getting engine service light on your dashboard for this problem.
