My job role has very few professionals in Nigeria/Oil and Gas, the last job I took up with Oando, I was the only finalist for that job role out of hundreds of thousands who wrote the test, whereas other areas like HSE, Finance, Business Development etc. had scores of people remaining.

Very few people more qualified than I am professionally will apply to NNPC. It's only interesting to me because I just hit the number of years needed to apply for a more snr level than I am now in the industry.

My interview went very well.

As long as they will recruit up to 2 people for that role, I'll be there.

Information reaching me from a genuine source states that, Apl could likely drop this week.

Thirty people were recruited from each state.

Taraba and Nasarawa state cut off mark was reduced, because applicants from these states didn't perform too well in the interview. So, they were tendered mercy.

Good day guys, hope the weekend's going pretty well? I just spoke with a big bro who's been a staff of NNPC for over decade, that's excluding his years as a contract staff. I briefed him on the cancellation rumours currently gaining traction. He immediately told me it's a lie from the pit of hell, but then i insisted on him finding out as opposed to just assuming. So, he made calls to 3 other guys, 2 of whom work in the HR department, and they all debunked such rumours..

He went on to enlighten me on how difficult it is to abandon a very credible recruitment exercise based on certain individual's grieviances. He also said, your connect has to be really tight to get in through the backdoor, especially in cases of a mass recruitment of this nature. Plus, those few top guns are usually not given more than one or two slots, and that depends on certain factors I'll rather not divulge, plus their names are also ascribed to whoever they put forward. I am not here to discredit anyone's source, put i really don't know where these cancellation rumours emanated from.

He also said, there is a lot of reshuffling currently going on and this is geared towards increasing professionalism, efficiency and productivity within the corporation. let's keep hope alive guys, God bless you all. Cheers..

The gist about attempt to cancel this process is real. Not that they have cancelled but some haters of transparency are pulling the string to ensure that this recruitment is abandoned. My padi said make we dey pray..he said that's the only threat else next week might be the deciding moment. I was shocked...as in shocked. He complained bitterly about people who prefer to destroy something that is going smoothly. I didn't like the info too...but I just have to share it. Please others confirm if this is true from your various sources.

I think the best hope we can give ourselves is actively developing ourselves, learning new skills and seeking new opportunities while we await the outcome of the interview (APL).

While we monitor this thread and every other source of information, let’s seek ways to improve our financial standings and overall well-being through reading books, learning crafts and what have we.

When APL shows up, you will add the income from these new ideas and skills learned to your NNPC salary and allowances and just live life like you are supposed to. Call it diversifying.

Is there any correlation between Performance in the test and the interview scheduling? This one that those of us who interviewed on the 1st July are experiencing a sort of reckless abandon with this t-fare reimbursement, am not understanding oh. I had hitherto surmised that those of us scheduled for 1st July were top performers in the test and should be giving preference in subsequent communications...(an assumption though, reason why I need someone to clarify me).

What's more? I belong to this class of people who believe Holiness(kind of) is prerequisite for getting this APL hence, I have not engaged in the OTHER ROOM with any babe since May the notification mail for test dropped. Perhaps, one of the reasons have made it to this extent in the process thus far...smiles
