The Lagos State Government is demonstrating that it has no tolerance for misbehavior from its employees.

The State Government recently sacked five officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA. They were relieved of the jobs for offences ranging from extortion, harassment and violation of Lagos State Public Service Rules.

General Manager, LASTMA, Olawale Musa disclosed this on Thursday, saying that the agency recommended five of the unruly officials for dismissal and demote 14 others, adding that 15 others were issued letters of warning, while three were exonerated after careful investigation.

According to the GM, LASTMA, “The affected officers appeared in the month of April before the Personal Management Board (discipline) to defend and make presentation on various actions that bothered on indiscipline against them,”

In addition, Musa condemned incessant attacks of traffic officials by motorists, especially commercial drivers, saying the officials were on the roads to ensure motorists and commuters get to their destinations without stress and discomfort.

Good evening. I'm a corp member serving in a school and I stay in the lodge provided by the school together with some other female corpers.
Now here lies my problem ; there is this particular female corper who keeps bringing me food randomly.

Lets say d CBN prints d money give it to the FG, d govt in turn use it for project nd other things(government spending). We need to understand dat money moves in a circular flow, and government spending is a form of injection into d economy, simply put, govt spending pumps money into d economy. Now, excessive government spending cud lead to inflation whereby derz too much money in circulation, persistent increase in prices and too much money purchasing too few goods. The value of naira will fall in d domestic economy and dis can lead to total collapse of d domestic economy if inflation is not remedied. So,it better to avoid inflation or keep at a reasonable level...

Many often ask why government’s don’t print more money to deal with the problem of national debt.

The reason is that printing more money doesn’t increase economic output in any way – it merely causes inflation.

Suppose an economy produces £10 million worth of goods; e.g. 1 million books at £10 each.
If the government doubled the money supply, we would still have 1 million books, but people have more money. Demand for books would rise, and firms would push up prices.
The most likely scenario is that if the money supply were doubled, we would have 1 million books sold at £20. The economy is now worth £20 million rather than £10 million. But, the number of goods is exactly the same.
We can say that the increase in GDP is a money illusion. – True you have more money, but if everything is more expensive, you are not any better off.
In this simple model, printing more money has made goods more expensive, but hasn’t changed the quantity of goods.
