Family / Re: As A Husband, "Before You Ask Your Wife What Are You Bringing To The Table". by Entanglement: 2:52am On Nov 28, 2023
Rich4god:
Am lending my voice to this thread
https://www.nairaland.com/7922406/wife-why-life-women-complicated#127165126

A couple of days back, my wife put to bed using CS. Initially we had a baby before, I a know how complicated and painful the pregnancy and childbirth was.

Now I was in the theatre during the CS and I saw first hand how someone's abdomen was sliced open and the baby pulled out. I also saw how doctors were putting their hands into someone's abdomen and how they finally stitched her up. It wasn't an easy sight to behold. Right now, she's recovering, but the pain she's passing through is much.

To me, this is the highest form of sacrifice that someone can give for the family.

So to the men and husband out there..... before you ask your wife to be "what she is bringing to table", kindly think about the sacrifice they make in bringing your children to the world.

These white people will talk to you and treat you like a slave. A nobody.

And you will be aware that through out your whole existence in Nigeria nobody ever spoke to you this way.
I know you will say that you are interested in the money. But trust me working for a racist who obviously hates you is like being a young female in a toxic relationship. That's the feeling. You can't even talk or have a say!!

RACISM is real... It's worse than what you may imagine.
You just have to readjust and learn to live with a bruised ego for the rest of your life.

if a white man treat you like say slave! Definitely you enter that country throw the window (illegally) no white man will shit talk you or treat you like a slave if your paper is complete and if you are working legally undecided

1.Having a phd does not necessarily mean an interest in teaching. Some use the PhD to get an advantage in their careers.

2.To be a lecturer, you got to have an interest in teaching. Not everyone has that interest.

3.Promotion in university as a lecturer is by publication, publication. Not everyone wants to get on the treadmil.

4.Funding. Oga VC may need 50 lecturers in his university, but government would give him cash for ten. Where is Oga VC going to find money for the remaining 40?
oga! The highest advantage you can get in professional careers (note! Not teaching or lecturing) is your master degree.

The PhD are for those who are pursuing educational careers. Those who want to teach and educate.

Na so gold diggers dey do.

You knew his job and accepted to marry him. Did you reach any agreement with him that he would stop following Davido after your wedding with him? If you had that agreement, say it now. Otherwise, you are nothing but a gold digger who wants to eat her cake and have it.

After all, how many independent men are as rich as Israel? So many men suffer more humiliations than Israel does under Davido, yet those men are not as rich as Israel. You are just an inconsistent human being looking for an excuse to dump your husband and follow other men.

You never complained of infidelity or domestic violence in the marriage. His only offence is that he is a servant to Davido. But women whose husbands are drivers or getmen are peacefully living with those husbands. Is he unable to pay house rent and feed you because he is serving Davido?
I just don't know what that gender what undecided

You Catch Your Woman Cheating?, Don’t Fight That Man, Simply Do These 7 Things.

Discovering your partner cheating is tough. Instead of fighting, try these five steps to handle the situation wisely.

1. Stay calm. It’s natural to feel angry and hurt, but reacting with violence won’t help. Take deep breaths and try to control your emotions.

2. Gather evidence. Before confronting your partner, make sure you have clear proof of the cheating. This could be messages, photos, or any other evidence. It helps avoid misunderstandings.

3. Talk to your partner. Have an honest conversation. Share your feelings, and listen to their side too. This can bring clarity to the situation and help decide the next steps.

4. Take care of yourself. Emotional well-being is crucial. Seek support from friends or professionals. It’s okay to feel hurt, and talking about it can be therapeutic.

5. Evaluate the relationship. Consider if trust can be rebuilt. Both partners need to be willing to work on it. If not, it might be time to move on.

6. Establish boundaries for the future. If you decide to stay together, set clear expectations. Discuss what needs to change for the relationship to heal.

7. If moving on is the best choice, be ready to let go. It’s challenging but holding onto self-respect is important.

Romance / Re: A Pattern I Noticed With Most Working Class Ladies Have Dated From 27yrs Old. by Entanglement: 6:25pm On Nov 21, 2023
Godoverevery:
Note- this not a post to bash ladies.

A pattern I noticed with most working class ladies have dated from 27yrs old upward.
At the earliest stage, they claim to be tired of relationship, they are fine without a man.
They are doing fine without a man and in fact if not for pressure they don't mind not getting married...(mostly lies)

They say am financially ok without a man, i bought my phone, paid house rent etc without any man and i can never depend on any man hence why they can never be liability since they are working..(mostly lies)

Most claim to be doing fine during the wooing stage but immediately we start dating things turn out differently from what they claim.

Am dating a lady currently who works for a fashion house on the island...During the wooing stage we actually spoke alot for about 2 months and she claimed to be financially ok and doesn't need a man money. Infact she told me how much she paid weekly which is very decent with free accommodation and feeding.

We just started dating not up to 3weeks and this lady have been making demands which I find very childish and too disgraceful for an adult working.
She always complaining of money despite earning above minimum wage weekly.

This morning she called and i didn't pick........I chatted her up and she telling me her cream have finished and i replied hmmmm.
This a pattern have noticed with most working class ladies have dated......they tell you am an independent woman during wooing stage but once relationship start it just seems they are working and not earning with the way they demand and still be pressuring you with marriage talks.

(just want to know if am the only experiencing this or is just normal)

Note: this the fourth time this lady is demanding from me in 3 weeks and they are embarrassing to me for someone who earns.
if you want to experience love 💞 without billing! And choking love all over you. STOP dating Nigeria women undecided

Family / Re: Court Marriage Without Paying Bride Price by Entanglement: 4:56pm On Nov 20, 2023
UncleKoboko:
IN MY OPINION:

Paying bride is very symbolic and important. It is not the amount paid that is important, in many cultures (aside from those people in the down map that usually sell their daughters....) some still collect as low as 10k, but you might still be given a long list....

BRIDE PRICE IS TRADITIONAL AND SHOULD BE BASED ON WHO YOU ARE MARRYING.
ONLY VIRGINS DESERVE BRIDE PRIDE, OR AT LEAST, BRIDE PRIDE SHOULD BE BASED ON BODYCOUNT.
NON-VIRGIN WH0REZ DON'T DESERVE FULL BRIDE PRICE.
THEIR BRIDE PRICE SHOULD BE DIVIDED BY THE NUMBER OF THEIR BODYCOUNT.

EVEN AS A MILLIONAIRE, GOD FORBID THAT I WILL PAY FULL BRIDE PRICE ON A GIRL THAT IS NOT A VIRGIN.
EVEN IF HER PAPA SAY HER BRIDE PRICE IS 10K, I WILL STILL DIVIDE IT BY THE NUMBER OF HER BODYCOUNT.
let's say your woman has a body count of 100 pennisss and her bride price to be paid is 10,000 naira!

That's 100 pennisss divided by 10,000 naira
(100÷ 10000)
Which is Equal to 0.01.
So therefore you will be paying 0.01 naira grin grin

SUPERPACK:
Yes, you are legally married. Court marriage don't require bride price nor consent from family members.

But for the sake of peace and avoidance of future wahala pls pay the bride price before going ahead with the court marriage or even after.

I don't know where you are from but here in igboland they don't joke with bride price, it is important and will be talked about for ages. Your children could be regarded as outcast to the extended family too.

But if you get a very understanding family that agree to court marriage only then no issue as they have the right to wave it or make it very affordable even down to just #50 so you will have no issues.

My community here in Enugu will most times say bring #100,000 and when it is presented they will take only one note from the whole money and return the rest to the groom's family. They will tell you that there daughter is not for sale and if maltreated they will take her back.

If the family insist on bride price please do not force your way through with the court marriage as it could be risky, the tussle is not worth it.
but in imo state they do sale their daughter's with huge sums of bride prizes and expect the man to build house for his in-law undecided

PuZZyNegro:
I traveled from Lagos to Port Harcourt to see my future in laws family. My girl wasn't around as she's still in Lagos schooling.

I went there with a family member and got them some items like shortcake biscuits and juice.

They offered us food and we ate. After the meeting and normal questioning, we were set to go when surprisingly, this people brought out two loaves of bread and gave us. I told them that the food we ate was enough, that we don't need the bread.

We haven't even gone far when my girl started texting me on WhatsApp angrily asking me why I rejected her mother's gift. That she gave it out of love, this and that.

I told her that bread is the wrongest gift the mother could give me. I am supposed to buy them bread and not the one way round. I intentionally refused to buy bread for them because I assumed bread is an everyday food that people buy and eat, so I decided to go with the package biscuits instead and here they are offering me bread.

If it were something produced locally by them like coconut or something, I can understand but bread?

Please, did I do anything wrong rejecting the bread?
to be honest!
