Please is that how it's been done? I bought a land early 2018 and now I feel like selling out. The families who sold it to me said they are entitled for their own percentage from the money the buyer is offering. Please I need to know if that's how it's done. I only went to inform them I would be handling the piece of land to a new owner and thought kola nut and palm wine would be it, since they also sold to several people there and also have some available I thought I should let them know for future reference... instead they are asking how much I am selling and wants to know every details of it.

Meanwhile the deeds that's about to be prepared would be in my name and that of the buyer, what consigns the family?

I had to tell them that's not possible it's my own land I bought from them I am selling, he went further and said it's either they buy it back from with same amount I bought 2018 or I give them their percentage from the appreciating amount or I develop and let matter rest.

I hope mumudients miscreants and all the developer isonu will return home as a matter of urgency to save their gully erosion ravaged land from total collapsing. Instead of concentrating yourselves in lagos and other places to drag land and space with the inhabitants. Pls it'svery wise to go and save your land. And pls leave or quit fight for other people land, when your own land is begging for help and attention. If not, you guys will just wake up one day and discover that no place to call home again. Gradually, everyday about 1000sq²m of land is been taking away by this dangerous gully erosion. But instead of you rodents to fight to save your land, you people just bussy here fighting for other people's land. Don't let your ancestors hard work go down in vain.

A massive erosion on the Oba axis of Onitsha-Owerri Expressway is threatening property running into billions of naira.

The gully created by the erosion which had already cut the Owerri bound carriageway of the Federal Highway and is threatening the second lane, is approached a filling station and a nearby hotel.

Already, the Anambra government has barricaded the affected part of the road, thereby transferring all the burden to the second lane which is on the verge of collapse.

The popular Rojenny Stadium and Games village, with about 30,000 sitting capacity football pitch, is also at the risk of collapse if urgent measures are not taken to arrest the gully erosion menace.

Some residents, who spoke to journalists on Saturday, called on the Federal government to urgently step in and address the challenge before it degenerates to ecological disaster area

Mr Johny Obinwa, facility consultant at Rojenny stadium, said over 350 residential buildings, acres of undeveloped land, a filling station and a two-star hotel are all threatened by the gully erosion.

Obinwa said facilities worth millions within Rojenny had been destroyed as result of heavy flash flood from Ichi, Nnobi, Ojoto, and Uruagu-Oba whenever it rained.

He said perimeter walls around the stadium, parts of spectators’ stands, tennis, handball courts had collapsed, while the tracks had been pulled as result of being water logged.

Obinwa said: “Our Olympic side swimming pool has overflown, the flood causing this gully erosion flows from Ichi, Nnobi Ojoto and Uruagu-Oba communities in Idemili South Local Government Area. It is also because the gutters and water channels are too small.

“On our part as management, we are doing what we can to mitigate the disaster, but we need a lot of work to do to protect the sporting facilities that are in the Games Village, that is why it is important that Federal and Anambra governments come in.

Mrs Amaka Obi, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, who spoke at the site, said the State government had made efforts to control the gully erosion menace but the situation had not abated.

Obi was represented by Mr Uchechukwu Ubadi and Mr Nzubechukwu Ibe, Councillors representing Oba Ward 1 and Oba Ward 11 respectively.

She said all the controls done so far, including the water channels constructed about three months ago, had collapsed because of the heavy flood.

She also pointed out that when a proposal was made to fill the gully with refuse at the budding stage, youths in the area refused, placing a charge of N5,000 per trip as a condition.
