Confirm! Agadinaagwuofe: This is exactly my annoyance with many Nigerians. I will just want to believe all these monikers are paid agents. who in his right senses that have lived in this country for the past 7 years won't be seriously angry about the affairs of the nation. Everyone should be showing too much aggression in disrupting the status quo. Is it the hunger. insecurity, economy, education etc just name one thing that has been right for people to decide to give these "scavengers" another 8 years. Obi might not be saint but we need to break the duopoly if we have any chance of moving forward. Obi win will usher in an entire different perspective and alter the political landscape of this country. I am sure I m giving my vote to Obi irrespective of what. wetin be structure? make structure choke anybody wey talk am there |

Nonsense and ingredient Be like suffer no dey tire you With the reality on ground, you go see soon TooNoisy: Keep deceiving yourselves. Peter Obi will not get 25% in any northern state. He is unknown over there.
He is not known in Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo. No chance of him getting 25% in these SW states.
He wouldn't get 25% in Edo and Delta for sure. Oshiomole/Obaseki will secure Edo for APC/PDP. Okowa will secure Delta for PDP as he is on the ballot.
Obi cannot win any South South State. Udom will secure Akwa Ibom for PDP. Duoye Diri will do same in Bayelsa. Wike will probably join APC or at least remain in PDP. Cross Rivers will be split between 3 parties. |

Nonsense! Be like suffer never tire you under Apc and Pdp abi Dey blow grammar there while your future been sold and looted already festacman: In Nigeria, the victory at the presidential polls is sum total of the effort of local political heavyweights in their wards and constituencies. That's structure. Does Labour Party or Peter Obi Campaign Organization has local political influencers all over Nigeria? Even the negative tendency of vote buying still require structure to accomplish.
Another major challenge facing Peter Obi is that he is the sole financier of his presidential bid. And presidential campaign sure requires massive funding with substantial leakages caused by people who would collect money without doing assigned task. Can Peter Obi open up his wallet wide when winning is not 100%? |

You said it all! Originalsly: If you check ....the persons returning left when they were like 22 or older. They are rooted in Nigeria .... know a whole lot of people and can hang out with them ... have a social life....with little stress. Abroad... at 22 ... you will not make many friends... and those few friends may not live anywhere close to you. I see retired people everyday .... lonely... short of friends... same routine... wake up and get out... on warm days... get their folding chairs... sit at a certain spot... the meeting place.... and greet the passers by on their way to work. Retired people... limited friends... friends because they are retired and have nothing to do. If not healthy enough... they remain indoors... a home aide is provided to assist them... but they are basically isolated... solitary confinement... just existing. Returning home... same weather all year. One can always find old friends... unlimited because you knew sooo many people from school and the neighbourbood... never mind 75% of them have moved away and passed on ... there are still many around. You can relive experiences... reminisce....share experiences... catch up on what's been happening while you were gone ... enjoy good food.... no stress of bills and schedules....
Monday afternoon I have to put out the garbage after 4pm for Tuesday morning pick up.... Tuesday morning I have to get up before 8 a.m and double park the car to allow for street sweeping or face a fine .... then 9:30 I have to find parking or face fine for double parking.... Wednesday I have to pay the phone and internet bill or everything shut down.... Thursday I have to go grocery shopping or face the crowd Friday
....life on programme. Back in Nigeria... none of that stress... I sleep and wake when I wake. Even people not retired... the ones in their prime... returning... do you ever notice how excited they be (unless pestered by beggars)?... the stress off of them you can't tell.... but you can see how excited they are about food ... local food.... regardless of price... they will eat... and eat... and eat... missing in their lives. If one has left Nigeria after a certain age... he will never feel at home in a foreign land... he was there for the opportunities and the money... but after all has been achieved... and he is retired.... then two sayings make a whole lot of sense......
a house is not a home... and there is no place like home.
He will return for peace of mind and comfort in friends. |

Nicely analysed BigDawsNet: Weather : when you get old... the freezing cold get into your body and knee.... it's not fun... People who know they have a place with warm weather will park back and relocate immediately
Taxes: they are tired of paying taxes.. they wanna go back home and live like a king with less tax to worry about
Properties: You can't hav more than 3 house here... it's not above the law...but where u won take get $500k*3 to get a house... rather they channel it back home... just 150k$ will build standard high rated 2 duplex
Extended family not all family get the chance to move to abroad. Old folks return home to create new life with this people they left decades ago...
Political they wanna get more involved in politics.
So they return home to support, vote and some may be lucky to get appointments |

Alaigbopress: I came to this Forum to complain about how my Girlfriend always posts pictures of her ex on her Status and uses his pictures as her screensaver.
Here is the link to the thread https://www.nairaland.com/7133811/girlfriend-keeps-posting-ex-pictures
After her explanations which looked like Truth. We moved on and I have to make a Counter post where I nearly insulted Nairalanders who came to my help with loads of advice to dump the Girl. Here is the link to the second thread I made which also made the front page. https://www.nairaland.com/7138678/lost-girl-friend-followed-advice
Please Nairalanders forgive me for not heeding to your advice, and also the way I spoke to You guys. I am really sorry about that.
This morning I woke up again and went through her Status and saw another guy she posted on her Status. Jokingly I asked her if this is the Okechukwu (not my name) she is talking about and putting Love Emorji for because she has done that several times. So I was expecting her to tell me that the guy is her Cousin or a relation and to my chagrin she told me the guy is her ex and that she just loves the picture.
I now reprimanded and scolded her that I had warned her not to post anything ex both pictures or videos on her Status. That was when this same girl told me that it is over between us that I complain a lot bla bla bla.
WHY AM I WRITING THIS I am writing this to advise my fellow guys. Guys please You have to be careful with these girls, some of them are very heartless, wicked and very manipulative.
Today I am joining the Redpill Gang full time. |

You said it all QueenOfTheCoast: all of a sudden Nigeria will need a man like Tinubu to fix Buhari's mess. all of a sudden after 7 years they've now realised that Buhari's government is now a failure since campaigning for continuity of their party's failure means mocking Nigeria. all of a sudden buhari is no longer the best thing to happen to Nigeria after cat fish pepper soup. all of a sudden they're now Buhari's critics just to project and tested failure within the same party. because how will they explain to Nigerians that their party is the cause of their problems. how can they explain to Nigerian youths sitting at home that their party is the reason they're rotting at home when they're supposed to be in the school. how will they explain to Nigerians that their party is the cause of ravaging insecurities we found ourselves today and that their presidential candidate will be recruiting 50 million youths into the army to feed them agbado and cassava. how can they explain to Nigerians that their party has failed them in every aspects.
of course they have no explanation for all these hence their only hope is to go tribal and play their usual old tribalism and tribal card tactics. but you as a citizen of this country ask yourself this question. will tribalism better our economy to at least prior to 2015? will tribalism end insecurity and make everyone safe? will tribalism send our children back to school and equip our schools. will tribalism make life better for an average citizen?
so after pushing for a failure to be President what next? when the suffering comes will it select other tribe and leave yours? today all Nigerians are suffering but Buhari got the highest votes from the North.
dear fellow citizens it's time to look into these people's eyes and tell them to go to hell with their division tactics. at a point all major tribes never believed in Nigeria but today they made it look like they love Nigeria most but keep presenting bad leaders ruining this country. it's time to say enough is enough.

Mtchewww! Pandev: 2023 is a done deal for BAT don't twist the whole things for Pete's sake. Jagaban was explaining to Oba of Lagos the reason Lagos people must be encouraged to get their PVCs so that someone from Lagos will clinch the position. Kastina has done it twice and the campaign point of Buhari to his kastina people then was that 'my veevu, you know our son, in person of Umar Musa Yar'adua couldn't complete his tenure as vresident, so, a pote por me is a pote for Kastina. We must not allow this veevu to cheat us'. So let the city boy do it. |
