Politics / RE: Open Letter: Presidential Bauchi Visit, Musa Azare And The Rest Of Us by Enyinweofia: 6:57pm On Dec 11, 2016
RE: Open Letter: Presidential Bauchi Visit, Musa Azare And The Rest Of Us

By Abdullahi B Darazo

I just stumbled on a very sly and deceitful article titled; 'Open Letter To President Muhammadu Buhari' by one Musa Azare. After reading a few paragraphs of the piece, it was apparent that it was sure a sponsored piece and the writer has just one motive - only one, to malign and tarnish the image of Bauchi state governor, Barrister M A Abubakar.

I am not surprise by this show of bad politicking from opposers of Governor Abubakar about this President Buhari's visit. In fact, I will be baffled if there ain't lies and falsifications against the governor over this significant presidential visit from the enemies of progress in Bauchi state.

With the wonderful progress and development brought by the administration of Governor Abubakar in Bauchi state, the opposition and their cohorts have been reduce to agents of lies, deceits and negative propagandas, and unfortunately for them, the people of Bauchi cherish and appreciate what the governor has done for so far.

In his open letter, Musa Azare, another agent of lies and deceit tried to keep the reader's attention and garner sympathy from the public by commending President Buhari in his first few paragraphs.

In his next paragraphs, the writer deceitfully claimed that he is writing the letter to intimate the president about the happenings in Bauchi state, another big lie because, it's clear that the writer is far from the true happenings in my dear state as you can ever imagine. All of his claims are false and hoax.

The writer claimed that, for the past 19 months, the governor has been unable to pay workers' salaries and just recently, two months salaries were paid. That is malicious and maligning. It is an established fact that there is a big economic challenge in the country, but Governor Abubakar has done everything humanly possible to pay workers' salaries at the end of every month.

Azare also stated that Governor Abubakar is paying large sums of money to contractors. It may interest the writer to know that Governor Abubakar is building roads of the same kilometers, better quality in less than half the amount his predessesor built them. I think Azare and his sponsors should be proud of having a governor that is paying for contracts, not a governor sinking the state in contract debts.

Azare further alleged that there is a planned protest against Governor Abubakar during the presidential visit and the governor has arm-twisted the NLC into warning their members off the protest. It is clear that this writer is out to totally mislead his readers, there was never any plan for workers' protest except of course in Azare's delusional mind. The workers in Bauchi state value and respect the governor and all his efforts to make life better for them.

Azare also claimed that there is a big clearance of refuse and all the street lights are working now because of President Buhari's visit. It is at this juncture, that I realized that the writer knows nothing about Bauchi state. It is apparent he doesn't even reside in the state, he is just one of those Abuja sponsored writers that write bad things about our state.

In the state capital alone, there are over 46 strategic refuse collection points and refuse disposal has been a key environmental work for the administration and the streets of Bauchi have always glowed at night since Abubakar got to office, even a toddler in the state can attest to that.

Azare's mischief knew no bound as the writer also chided religious clerics and scholars; he claimed that they were given foodstuffs and cows to tell lies to the president during his interaction with them. That is so insultive and denigrative. If there is any one group of people that truly deserve respect from Azare and his allies, it's our religious clerics.

Governor Abubakar has always supported our religious clerics and scholars in the state, and no amount of blackmails and falsifications from Musa Azare and his likes will make the governor stop this goodwill reach.

The most absurd part of Musa's open letter was his claim that Bauchi state is the most badly governed state in Nigeria today. That is the most unfair and partial thing I have ever seen about a state governor in our 17 years of modern democracy. I will tell you why.

A man of many firsts, Abubakar used his magic wand to turn around an hitherto sleepy state into a centre of attraction in the nation. His massive progress in health, infrastructure, sports, education and youth empowerment are well documented.

On assumption of office, he vowed to ensure that Bauchi youths are not used as political thugs. He has delivered on this front as his youth empowerment programmes have adequately engaged a lot of the youths in the state.

Abubakar has delivered on all fronts to his people. His policies are geared towards the betterment of the down trodden in the society and they were effectively implemented to the latter. It is not for nothing that the good people of Bauchi state pay little or no attention to agents of bad propaganda like Musa Azare..

It is a sure thing that Abubakar will be leaving Bauchi state much better than he met it. From education, health, security, environment, water, power down to infrastructural development. Abubakar has shown that Bauchi can work if the right people are in the right positions.

No news medium is enough to capture the numerous successes of M A Abubakar as Bauchi state governor in such a short period of time. Abubakar has made it clear that he is only interested in building an economic empire in the state and not a political empire. Making Bauchi state a better place for the good people of the state has always been his number one priority.

One of the reasons why the Barrister has succeeded so far in his position is because he stayed away from too much politicking. He is focused on the issues of governance and the development of Bauchi state. A feat Musa Azare, his sponsors and other enemies of Bauchi State fail to appreciate.

As Musa Azare and his likes continue to spread false and gloom stories about our state. We, the good people of Bauchi state will continue to pray for God to give our governor more foresight and vision to continue his good work in the state. Amen.

I rest my pen.

Politics / Gov Of Bauchi Posts Glorious Pictures Of Yankari, Says, #buynaijatogrownaira by Enyinweofia: 12:51pm On Feb 16, 2016
"It is now too expensive to go to London, Dubai and America. Come and holiday in Yankari! #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira". - @GovMAA

As the value of the Naira reached an all time low, and with states struggling to generate enough revenue to pay their workers, the Bauchi state government has come up with a solution to generate more revenue - tourism.

Governor M. A. Abubakar who took to his official twitter handle (@GovMAA) called on Nigerians to holiday in Yankari, Bauchi state, as it is now too expensive to do so in Dubai and London at the prevailing exchange rates. The governor who posted scintillating pictures of the games reserve, caused a twitter storm. Most Nigerians seemed to like the idea including former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, and Senator Ben Murray Bruce who retweeted the governor’s tweet. Others however, raised security concerns about visiting the North Eastern state.

The governor in subsequent tweets allayed any security fears, saying that Bauchi is not only safe and secure, the people are also peace loving and accommodating. He further stated that his administration will take advantage of the slump in international tourism to grow the local economy, and Yankari Games reserve remains pivotal to the growth of tourism.

Politics / EXPOSED: Tinubu's Plan To Rig Lagos by Enyinweofia: 6:16pm On Apr 10, 2015
EXPOSED!!!

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Mr Ambode has finalised plans in secret meetings with the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos, Mr Akin Orebiyi, to disenfranchise non-indigenes, particularly Igbos, in the forthcoming elections this Saturday. The plans perfected in secret meetings held in a discrete location in VI, is to ensure that voting is delayed until the next day being Sunday in areas where Igbos are the predominant population in Lagos like, Festac Town, Satellite Town, Amuwo-odofin, Aguda, Okota, some parts of Suru-lere , amongst other places. It is calculated that since the Igbos are predominantly Christians, most won't come out to vote again on Sunday, after spending time waiting to vote on Saturday so as to give advantage to the APC's. candidate.

Re-Bc to all non-indigenes on your list.

Politics / Re: Jaykay Pharmacy Tax Receipts - #fasholalied by Enyinweofia: 1:54pm On Feb 25, 2015
Oga, did you read the last letter from Comm of Finance (dated 2014)? He asked JayKay pharm to pay their outstanding charge (about 500k which they paid) while they continue contesting the penalty imposed on them. Did you read that, or are you a typical Tinubu puppet?

Jimi Agbaje didn't even have to respond to the useless allegation, but he did. Fashola who is learning how to be stupid should prove that indeed JayKay pharmacy has not paid. Or paid after his accusation. Nonsense.

WisdomFlakes:
Bros, you middle and must be Maradona else you would've read where BRF clearly stated that your employer, Jimi Agbaje, has paid his Land Use Charge dues for 2013 & 2014, but is still owing back charges for years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012. Here's the portion quoting BRF:

Land Use Charge: Publish your receipt, Fashola tells Agbaje
on January 30, 2015 at 10:09 am in News

As Agbaje decries attack by APC

By Dapo Akinrefon & Monsuru Olowoopejo

Lagos—Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State yesterday challenged the People’s Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, the owner of Jaykay Pharmacy, to publish receipts showing that he had paid N1.6 million land use charge debt.

The governor, who made the statement while addressing the crowd at the APC campaign rally held in Epe Local Government, said that revealing the facts on land use charge debt of JayKay pharmacy was not for personal reasons but for the development of the state.

According to him, “It is not that I hate him (Agbaje). But this is not a personal issue. This is an issue that concerns the development of Lagos State. I am saying this without mincing words. His pharmacy has not paid land Use Charge for year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012; it amounts to N1, 629, 064.62. But they have paid for 2013 and 2014.”

This came 24 hours after Agbaje accused the governor of distort ing the fact, saying “I have even been commended for paying my Land Use Charge on time.

“I didn’t say you did not pay two years Land Use Charge, LUC you did. But you have four years unpaid LUC. If you have paid all your LUC, please publish your receipt.”

Agbaje condemns Fashola, APC’s attacks on him

Meantime, Agbaje yesterday decried the constant attacks on his personality by the All Progressives Congress-led government.

Agbaje, who said this while addressing a rally organised for Amuwo Odofin and Apapa local government areas said that rather than resort to mudslinging, the APC should focus on issue based politics.

Addressing the supporters, Agbaje decried the campaign of calumny against him orchestrated by the APC and the Lagos State governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola.

He described the governor’s allegation of tax evasion as false and a campaign of clamuny based on fear of loosing to the PDP.

He said: “The more mud they throw at me, the cleaner I come out as you all know. The governor in one of the APC rallies had said that I am too old to govern the state whereas we are all in our 50s and I look younger than them. At another forum, he said I do not have experience to be a governor and I begin to wonder there where he got his own experience as governor before governing Lagos. I want you to know that governance is not about experience but qualification.”

It is really really shameful that the Fashola I respect(ed) so much has turned into a politician that lies and tries to tarnish another man's image for the sake of politics. Shame on him. Big shame!

See JayKay's tax receipts and the correspondence between the pharmacy and the Tax office.

Politics / Re: #fasholalied - Jimi Agbaje Is NOT Owing Tax by Enyinweofia: 10:34am On Feb 25, 2015
LOL. Out of desperation, Fashola has turned to a dirty politician. Shame on a once-upon-a-time good man.

By the way, these ones that are saying Jimi should publish his tax receipts, are they blind? Can't they see the link that shows where the initial response/tax receipts are?

Politics / Oga Fashola, Face Your Work – By Onye Nkuzi by Enyinweofia: 10:58am On Feb 01, 2015
A list of the best governors in Nigeria will be incomplete without Governor Fashola in it. He is seen as the model administrator and, by NIGERIAN STANDARDS, one has to say, it is true. (Emphasis on ‘Nigerian Standards’). But is it true? After this piece, that decision is left to you.

We have plenty respect for Governor Fashola, and we have tried to exclude him from our campaigns. We have tried to focus on issues that matter to all Lagosians and have left out the outgoing governor. But the outgoing governor would stop at nothing in his bid to tarnish the image of Jimi Agbaje, the PDP gubernatorial candidate. The outgoing governor will not let the proverbial sleeping dogs lie. The respect we HAVE for Fashola is becoming past tense. The HAVE is rapidly turning to ‘had’.

First Fashola LIED that Jimi Agbaje was 60 years old, hence too old to lead Lagos. We reminded him that Jimi Agbaje was actually 57 and opened his eyes to the foolishness of his statement, considering the fact that his presidential candidate is 72 years old.

He then called Jimi Agbaje’s #BoldIdeas bold inexperience and tried to say why they won’t work. Jimi Agbaje responded, as a teacher would to his errant student and schooled Fashola on why and how they would work.

Now he is calling Jimi Agbaje a tax evader. This is another unfortunate attempt to tarnish the image of our candidate, who has never owed tax in his personal capacity, nor have any of his businesses.

We could have campaigned by saying how the Governor and his master at Bourdillon have plundered Lagos. We could have campaigned by asking how the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge cost 29billion naira, 84 times more than the amount the same bridge should cost (according to World Bank standards). We would have campaigned by asking why Alpha Beta – owned by Fashola’s lord – is collecting a whooping 10% of ALL Lagos IGR as consultancy fee. We could even have campaigned by saying Ambode’s JAMB form establishes the fact that he is from Ondo state, not Lagos as he claims. These are actually issues, but based on the respect we have…had for Fashola and his oga’s cashier, we have rather focused this campaign on our strengths, our ideas, and how we plan to grow Lagos further.

But, since the outgoing governor would rather attack personalities, maybe we should ask him a few questions. Like, why was he almost impeached in 2009? Why did he force Ambode to resign from the civil service? How many billions was Tinubu siphoning through Ambode before he was asked to resign or be sacked? Why did Fashola want Supo Sashore to be governor and not Ambode, before the December 2014 APC primaries? Fashola has done well, (in Nigerian standards), so why is he not focusing his campaign for Ambode on his achievements? Why is he so desperate that he is attacking Jimi Agbaje’s person? Has he seen the handwriting on the wall? Has he noticed that Lagosians want change? Has he been told that his government may have done well (by Nigerian standards again), but Jimi Agbaje will do much better (not just by Nigerian standards but by global standards) and the PDP candidate’s government will be more accountable? Has he realized that his cash-flow through the cashier his lord and master is imposing on Lagos will be plugged if Jimi Agbaje wins as the offline and online polls have predicted? Has he realized that Ambode has nothing to offer and can’t speak for himself as seen in that LICC debate? Is that why he is campaigning as if him, not Ambode is running for governor? Is that why Fashola has become one of them – politicians without class?

Oga Fashola, remember when you ran for a second term in 2011, Lagosians stood behind you despite the fact that your oga at Bourdillon did not want you anymore. Lagosians voted for you because you were seen as a technocrat who was ‘working’, not the average street politician. You are losing that by the minute. In 4 months you won’t be governor of Lagos anymore. Protect your reputation as an admired and respected technocrat very well. Leave mudslinging to dirty politicians. Focus on completing your tenure on a resoundingly high note. Oga Fashola, face your work. Leave dirty politics to dirty people. Face your work o.

FACE YOUR WORK!

Signed, Onye Nkuzi.

Politics / Summary Of The Lagos State Governorship Aspirants Debate by Enyinweofia: 2:20pm On Jan 17, 2015
Brilliant ideas to make Lagos a better city were in abundant supply at the 2015 Lagos State Gubernatorial Debates at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral in Ikeja on Thursday, as candidates vying to become the next governor put across their plans to the public.
Education, urban transportation, security and alternative ways of generating revenue for the state, and the economy dominated the discussion. Though some of the contestants clearly showed that they have no business vying for the governorship position of Nigeria’s centre for commerce, the overall performance surpassed previous debates.
The contestants relied on statistics from the government, World Bank and the United Nations to buttress their points. One thing was clear to the thoroughly thrilled audience: Except for a few candidates, whoever emerges winner in the February 21 election, Lagos would be in good hands if the words said Thursday are matched with action.
The event kicked off few minutes past 11 a.m. but the pew of the large church was already completely filled with members of the public and a good number of others, who couldn’t find seats, remained outside.
The debate, which was organised by the Lagos West dioceses of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion in conjunction with the Dioceses of Badagry and Lagos Mainland, was moderated by the Bishop Theologian of the Church and former Chaplain of Lagos State University, Dapo Asaju, who is a professor of Theology.
The panellists for the debate were President, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Femi Adesina, Managing Director Excel professional Services Limited, Oladimeji Alo, and Managing Director, Business World Newspapers, Ray Echebiri.

Below is our analysis of what the candidates presented as their plans for the state and our assessment of how well they performed. Candidates are rated on the scale of 1-10 based on how articulate they presented their plans and the practicality of some of their ideas. The scores only represent basically PREMIUM TIMES’ impression of how the candidates performed.

1. Abiodun Popoola, Labour Party
The surprise participant of the day is the Labour Party candidate. While other parties were represented by their substantive governorship candidates, Labour party was represented by its deputy governor candidate, Abiodun Popoola. Mr Popoola explained that the party’s governorship candidate was in Abuja for an urgent assignment and couldn’t attend. Mr. Popoola reeled out ideas that were so radically brilliant for a running mate that one had to wonder if the gubernatorial candidate was a super human.
Mr. Popoola was articulate and his plans for the state appeared well-rehearsed and delivered with the confidence of a star performer. He announced his entry into the race by declaring that Lagos can no longer afford mediocre leadership since a number of countries look upon the city as a beacon of hope in the continent.
Mr. Popoola, a career banker and pastor, said his party represents the teeming majority of poor Lagosians. He said his party’s main vision for the state is anchored on Education, Security and infrastructural renewal. Making reference to the high failure rate in the school certificate examination in the state, he said education in the state is in shambles. He promised a complete review of the educational policy and promised the re-introduction of school inspectors to monitor ensure standard are adhered to. He lambasted the Nigerians for paying too much emphasis on music and the entertainment industry while science and other developmental aspect of the society suffers.
On free education he said: “The problem with Nigeria are people who went to free schools.” He said professors of the Lagos State University should be flogged for asking for more subventions from the government. He said as professor they should learn to think outside the box for sources of funding the universities.
He was confident and articulated his point clearly. Mr Popoola’s performance at the debate underscored the need for the smaller parties to be more visible and articulate with their plans as some them have ideas that are particularly novel and worth trying.
Score: 6/10 | ******

2. Ishola Aregbesola, Action Alliance
Mr. Ishola was the class clown today and the butt of all jokes. He obviously hadn’t given the thought of becoming a governor any serious consideration. He seemed as one of those political jobbers who seek elective offices hoping to be called aside by the top parties and compensated with appointments.
He started by cracking up the audience. He announced that he did not prepare for the debate because he was not formally invited. He explained that he had only attended the debate as an observer but his name was mentioned as a participant so he decided to join the other contestants. He spent the first 10 minutes granted each contestant reeling out his life history and could only manage to say he would ensure free education in the state is legislated before his time ran out.
Score: 1/10 | *

****

4. Jimi Agbaje, Peoples Democratic Party
By miles Mr. Agbaje was the star of the debate. He literally took other contestants to the cleaners with the masterful delivery, use of statistics and data from government and other international organisations. Unlike the raucous response some of the contestants elicited from the audience, any time Mr. Agbaje spoke, the audience stayed quiet.
He started by saying being a small scale business man himself, he knew what it takes to run a small scale enterprise and his government would give priority attention to SMEs in the state.
Mr. said his vision for Lagos is for it to be a mega city where a Lagosian would live in a secure and prosperous environment. “I want to build a Lagos where people can realise their aspirations,” he said.
He said the incumbent government is paying lip service to the development of primary education: “All that we do with education is to pay recurrent expenditure 80 per cent of the budget of education is spent on recurrent expenditure. The government spends 3 per cent of its budget of primary education. This is poor,” he said.
He said he would revitalise vocational skill and education so people with vocational education don’t mere end up as roadside vulcanizers and welders of burglary proofs.
He promised to create an all-inclusive Lagos that represents the cosmopolitan nature of the state: “What makes Lagos bubble is the fact that it brings people from everywhere. The day you begin to deport Lagos becomes a village.”
He also tactically directed all his responses to the policies of the incumbent, APC government. This was a smart move as it placed his policies side by side with the incumbent’s and allowed the listener to quickly appraise the better.
Score: 9/10 | *********

5. Akinwumni Ambode, All Progressives Congress
As the candidate of the incumbent party, Mr. Ambode was placed on the defensive most of the time and this affected his performance during the debate. However, he gave a good account of himself. With a boyish smile permanently stamped on his face, if he was worried by the attacks and taunts directed at him by the other contestants he did not show it. While he spent most of time explaining how he would make the policies of the incumbent administration better, he did not articulate so much of his own original ideas.
He said public service is a noble service and promised to bring the wealth of experience he had garnered from over 25 years of public service to running the state.
“I am an accountant you can count on me. My call to you is to stand up and be counted.”
He said his vision for Lagos is that of leadership and accountability, good governance and quality service.
Mr. Ambode promised to build an educational trust fund to carter for unemployed youths in the state. He also promised to build studio apartments for the teeming youth of the state to ease the housing difficulty in the state.

Politics / Why Tinubu Is Scared Of Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 10:30am On Jan 16, 2015
Why Tinubu is Scared of Jimi Agbaje
By Yaya Adeyemi

Jimi Agbaje has always being Bola Tinubu’s worst nightmare! Agbaje’s emergence as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made the prospect of that nightmare becoming real a distinct probability and Tinubu is now scared, very scared! That explains why he has gone on a paranoid offensive in a futile attempt to prevent Lagosians from voting for a man of honour, pedigree, integrity and courage, virtues which stand Jimi Agbaje in stark contrast with his traducers!

In 1999, both Jimi Agbaje and Bola Tinubu were members of the Alliance for Democracy. Unlike the AC, ACN and APC, which were/are Tinubu’s projects designed to supplant it, AD was not owned by any individual. It was a political platform floated by the honourable leaders of Afenifere after the death of Abacha. Of course it is general knowledge that these leaders of Afenifere-Chief Abraham Adesanya, Otuba Solanke Onasanya, Chief Olanihun Ajayi, Chief Bola Ige, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, and others gave Tinubu the governorship ticket in 1999 against the real winner of the party primaries as compensation for his supposed role in NADECO.

Tinubu’s reward for these elders has of course been to denigrate them at every opportunity and seek to destroy them and the legacy of Afenifere which was instituted by Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Michael Ajasin, Adesanya and other proud Yoruba leaders. Tinubu has done his best since then to render these men of integrity and true service irrelevant in Yoruba politics substituting new straw men for those real leaders and trading off the Yorubas into national alliances solely negotiated by him for his interest alone. That is the quality of people who now seek to arrogate to themselves the leadership of the Yoruba people; the lifelong “ownership” of Lagos State; and through surrogates the proxy ownership of other South West states; and is now making a big gambit for the rest of Nigeria using Muhammadu Buhari’s desire to occupy Nigeria’s presidency once again before he leaves the stage.

Tinubu recognizes in Jimi Agbaje an individual with the charisma, knowledge of the intricacies of South West politics; strong connections with the authentic leadership of the region and relationships with professionals across other regions in the South and North; strong pedigree and goodwill in high and low places, to obstruct his carefully laid-out agenda for expropriating the common heritage of Lagos, its indigenes and residents.
When Jimi Agbaje ran for governorship of Lagos State in 2007, he gave a very strong showing in spite of the fact that he was candidate of a small, largely insignificant party, the DPA. Tinubu has done everything to frustrate Jimi Agbaje’s political career to no avail, and is deeply worried by the fact that Agbaje has retained huge goodwill and indeed expanded same in spite of not occupying any public office. Tinubu fears that Jimi Agbaje is one of the few people who can disrupt his elaborately executed plans since 1999 to transform Lagos into his personal fiefdom and to secure a “majority shareholding” and “Board Chairmanship” in what he conceives to be his “Nigeria Plc” with a dispensable Buhari as nominal CEO and his surrogate as Deputy CEO!

If Jimi Agbaje wins in Lagos, all that Tinubu believes he has “worked” for will be undermined!!! Fortunately most citizens and residents of Lagos increasingly recognize that Bola Tinubu’s permanent hegemony is not in their interest. They know that Tinubu has ruled Lagos directly and through proxies for sixteen years and that his design to now install an absolute puppet as stand-in governor for what he envisages as his defacto fifth term, should be prevented if their freedom and welfare is to be protected. They know that Lagos should not become the personal property of one individual and that Jimi Agbaje is the only one who can prevent that evil design.

JimiAgbaje2015:

Hello Aresa,
You could have passed your message without resorting to the use of abusive language. We are all frustrated by these attacks and no matter what political parties we subscribe to, we are first of all Nigerians and must unite to eliminate this scourge.
Like earlier mentioned, the Defence Spokesman has given updates on the situation in Baga. We remain certain that one day very soon, Insurgency will no longer exist in Nigeria.
God bless.
aresa:

I was very generousness with my choice of words because heartless, cruel, corrupt and incompetent leaders are many times worse than the terrorists killing Nigerians because their uncaring, corrupt and incompetent ways promotes and creates opportunities for terrorists to slaughter Nigerians at will and unchallenged by the same worthless, crooked, corrupt and incompetent leadership which this Agbaje man is a proud member of..

17 people died in France and the French government showed strong leadership and great courage, the government was and is still visible, they are still consoling and morning with the people of France, but your own heartless president is yet to utter a word after the mass slaughter of his own people, the same people he swore to protect, but you are sitting here happy and telling us about some silly speech by the defense spokesman? Is this your own interpretation of leadership? Do you even have a leader in your country?

As a Nigerian, my choice of words really should be the least of your worries, you should be more concerned about your own safety, your family's safety and the deaths of thousands of Nigerians this worthless government failed to protect...

Shame on you...

This is what is wrong with Nigerian kids. This is why I'm sure many politicians do not make statements about issues like this because instead of digesting the information you people will rather display your lack of home training by calling your father's mate names.

Is Jimi Agbaje the president? He made a statement in his capacity as a Nigerian and you're here calling him names, because he is in a political party you do not like. Has any other PDP person made a statement about Baga? Is everyone in the PDP evil by default? Are Donald Duke and Nuhu Ribadu not in the PDP? Does it change the fact that they're perceived as awesome people?

Shame on you for hiding behind a keyboard and abusing a man whose only crime is deciding to run on a platform big enough to dislodge Lagos from the clenches of oga Bourdillon

When did he say this? When? Has it gotten to a point where lies will be told against a man to smear his good name?

eighTHREAD:
not only that. He called all yorubas lazy by saying lagos would have been a village if not for the intervention of the non-indigenes. I guess he meant to say that all other yoruba states with little percentage of non-indigenes are villages. We await you at the polls.

Hehehe. Why is LASAA removing his posters and ignoring those of his opponents? What if his supporters start removing Ambode's posters and that leads to an altercation? Let us be reasonable abeg

Mynd44:
LASAA says "Don't paste posters indiscriminately. If you do, we will remove them"

You violate the law, they take action and you threaten violence.....wow Jimi Agbaje is so smart.

Even if they are supporters when did tearing posters become something that should be met with violence? Hey, do the same to them and call it even.

You mean good roads like the one in Okota? You mean good BRT transport that has like 500 people waiting for it at Oshodi every morning? You mean good housing schemes that has someone pay huge sums as rent for 2 years + Agent and Agreement? Good education that has seen more kids failing WAEC than before? Oga, if I say Fashola did not try I'll be lying. But he would've done much better if he wasn't remitting a huge part of our IGR to oga Bourdillon.

pendy79:

I don't know who place anyone under bondage. If bondage is good roads, good housing schemes, good transport with BRT, good and free medical for children and elderly people, prompt payment of salaries amd even bonus for the month of December and lots of good governance that abound then I implore you to go enjoy the freedom in Abia, Ebonyi, Kogi, Benue etc and leave lagos to be in your so called BONDAGE.

I never knew you had shackles round your neck tying your yansh down in Lagos.
Politics / Re: Mischievous Misconstruing Of Statements Made By Mr. Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 9:24am On Jan 10, 2015
Please ask someone who is unbiased, and knows Lagos politics very well why Tinubu put Fashola in power and why they eventually fell apart at the tail end. Also ask why Fashola sacked Ambode and did not want him to be governor.
ilugunboy:

I will rather remain under the bondage of Tinubu that gave us Fashola for 8 years than under Bode Jimi Agbaje George.

Lagosians know who can protect them...definitely not PDP
Politics / Re: Mischievous Misconstruing Of Statements Made By Mr. Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 9:23am On Jan 10, 2015
Fact remains, everything he said is true. And he was asking us to think. Think about the effects of our decisions first.
Why do you think all the PDP leaders in Lagos are behind him? He brings two things: Integrity and his own personal massive structure/support. A combination of both will ensure he wins Lagos. It is a symbiotic relationship and would definitely not make him anybody's puppet.

oduastates:

Nope.
He was obviously trying to scare up votes.
The politics of fear.
Unfortunately, you cannot remove the party from the man .
The " I voted for jonathan and not PDP " will not work in lagos.
A man who had no governing structure, was not involved in the party formation and had no base within PDP is definitely going to be a puppet to those who put him there.
Like a king without a throne, people are not ready to mortgage the future of their children to Bode George aka "Governor do Nothing " or Ogunlewe " Mr know nothing"
Politics / Re: The Right Kind Of Experience For Lagos - Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 9:17am On Jan 10, 2015
Fashola is the best governor Lagos has ever had. Unfortunately, Fashola sacked Ambode. And did not want him to be governor. Why do you think so?

Jimi Agbaje needs the support of the massive PDP structure in Lagos. That, combined with his personal structure is the only way he can defeat APC. Sometimes understand that statements like that will be made for the sake of politics.
kingthreat:

Did Fashola not work?
His leadership is classic. The way Lagos state responded to Ebola was world-class. So if APC has so far transformed Lagos into what it is now, then why change. Jimi Agbaje will certainly lose as he promised to rule Lagos like how other pdp states like Abia,Ebonyi, and Ekiti are governed.
Politics / Re: The Right Kind Of Experience For Lagos - Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 9:15am On Jan 10, 2015
LOL. Leave them o.

rudedough:
Before i return to start my door to door campaign against APC in my neighborhood, what is your take on NURTW, Agbero and those dirty looking touts running around, harrassing and extorting Lagosians?
Politics / Re: The Right Kind Of Experience For Lagos - Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 9:14am On Jan 10, 2015
Going by this analogy, Ambode should go and continue working in one bank like that.

A vote for Ambode is not a vote for good governance. It is a vote for the continuous enlargement of Tinubu's empire at the expense of Lagosians. If Fashola had not sacked Ambode, I would have supported him. If APC had presented the brilliant Supo Shasore, I would have supported him, because with the lawyer, I know Fashola's strides would have continued. Ambode is oga Tinubu's accountant. Let it sink in

meracool:
Jimi Agbaje is a Pharmacist.. Let hiim stay in the Lab And help produce drugs.. that's Field.

Ambode Is a seasoned Administrator with wealth of experince To Admistrate Lagos Stae to greater Height..

At the Polls The strong message would be passed that PDP is not needed In Lagos State..

Vote Ambode for
Good Governance..!!!

Texykool:

Are you taking these ones serious?
I can see that Jimi's campaign team now have a moniker on NL... Seun suppose bill una wella o. Make my boy chop out of the billions wey Bode George and PDP dey use sponsor una.

How can you call someone who was a leader in Afenifere and has been involved in policy making since 1998 a Political Neophyte? Someone who single-handedly turned the DPA into a party that gave AC a fight in 2007? Someone who has massive support in every single ward in Lagos state? Someone who the leaders of PDP in Lagos are all behind? A political neophyte? Chai.

How can you call someone who is the Vice Chairman of Atlantic Hall School, Epe and Faculty Member, African Centre of Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) an educational neophyte?

How can you call someone who runs a thriving company and has 1000+ people under his employ an economic neophyte? Do you think it is beans to have all those people under your payroll?

laimo:
Jimi Agbaje can not win in Lagos.
Jimi Agbaje is a political, economic, educational neophyte.

JK wasting his time.
JK wasting clueless' money.

Lagosians are tired of being under the full bondage of one man.

Na by force? Lagosians don't want to have anything to do with PDP!
Politics / Re: The Right Kind Of Experience For Lagos - Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 8:52am On Jan 10, 2015
Bode George is not Tinubu. JK is not Fashola or Ambode. JK is a very independent minded individual. Why was he not chosen in 2007 even when APC delegates obviously wanted him? Because he refused to be Tinubu's stooge. He will now reject one godfather to be another person's godfather abi? Clap for yourself

dridowu:
Likewise Bode George who is finding his way to loot lagos also after looting NPA .
Politics / Re: Mischievous Misconstruing Of Statements Made By Mr. Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 5:16pm On Jan 08, 2015
People accused him of saying "Niger Delta militants will shut the economy down if we don't vote GEJ", without adding the fact that he was clearly making an analysis of the current quandary the Nigerian voters are in. How did he defend PDP's corruption? Is it a lie that some people have been tried by the federal government for corruption? Is it a lie that NOBODY has been tried in Lagos state for corruption? Is Lagos state corruption free?

huptin:
I took my time to watch the video. Jimi Agbaje said exactly what he was accused of saying, there is no distortion of facts here, he even went further to defend PDP's corruption by asking if there is no corruption in Lagos state.
Politics / Re: Mischievous Misconstruing Of Statements Made By Mr. Jimi Agbaje by Enyinweofia: 5:13pm On Jan 08, 2015
So the intelligent people of Lagos want to remain under the bondage of Tinubu abi? LOOOL. Make una continu!

pendy79:
The election in Lagos will show once and for all who owns Lagos and the voting strength of the indigenous people of Lagos as against online noise makers who claim to be 80% of eligible voters in Lagos.

I wish and hope Jimi didn't mortgage his company to contest against ambode because he will so lose that getting up again will be impossible for him.

Let him ask Ade Dosunmu what happened to his NIMASA loot and obanikoro until he got the ministerial post.

Lagos and true lagosians will never and can never vote PDP even if the Pope is the candidate.
