stonecoldcafe:You missed it. Igbos were more united than any other tribe in the last concluded elections. Check the pattern. Igbos both in the southeast and diaspora all voted for PDP or APGA. That's unprecedented and unmatched. |
Yungwizzzy:Taking a political position is what you are calling hate. The Igbos merely chose PDP over APC for reasons best known to them. You can't call that hatred. It's a sound political move. The southwest didn't have any of that positions in over five years and they didn't fare any worse. There is no way the whole country will follow just one political party. We are in a democracy, remember. |
Where is Obingwa and Ugwunagbo?? They should cancel the elections in these local governments also. |
Stop deceiving people. Alex Otti is the people's choice. PDP must be destroyed in the east. We don't need criminal and viciously wicked people as leaders. The impunity of PDP must stop. |
APGA won in every polling unit. PDP plans to manipulate the results will be resisted. |
It's enough. The Igbos have been vilified enough in recent times for their democratic expression. First it was GEJ, now it's Lagos. The indigenous people of Lagos, the Yorubas, have to accept it as a sacrifice for national unity that the Igbo political power in Lagos is waxing stronger every year. The number of federal legislators of Igbo extraction will more than double next time around. No one can do anything about that. It's democracy and democracy is all about people opinion. Since the Igbos have the numbers to effect a political change in Lagos, so be it. These being said, I feel the Oba was speaking out of sheer anger about Igbos being able to help elect six PDP candidates into the federal legislature from Lagos, some of which are Igbos themselves. Everybody should forgive and ignore the Oba and ensure that you exercise your constitutional democratic right by voting your conscience. |
ChinemeOkpan:Stop making mockery of yourself even if you are not Igbo. The whole thing is disgusting to any sane person. The Oba should issue an unreserved apology. |
gudluckgreat:APGA can declare support for APC led federal government just as APGA did in the last PDP federal government. This does not call for defection. And, of course, this is on the table. |
Abagworo:It is expected that APC national leadership should declare support for Alex Otti, hence the visit to the APC governor in the east. But Alex isn't with APC but APGA. And don't forget that APGA can declare to support APC led federal government just as they did for PDP federal government. This does not mean defecting. |
Gr8amechi:I can give it to you on good authority that APGA won the Abia Central and South senatorial seats. Same goes with most house of rep. The fact that the criminal, incompetent Ochendo, T.A rigged the elections didn't make any difference to the results from the polling booths. Seems you've not heard of court tribunal cancellation of a declared poll. Wait for these ones. I can assure you that it's no longer a business as usual thing in Nigeria. |
gudluckgreat:Alex Otti isn't much interested in helping to massage Rochas' ego by defecting to APC. Abians are 98% behind him as I'm writing this. I'm there. Alex Otti defecting simply means that he wants to help boost Rochas ego. This is not on Alex Otti table. |
modath:The report from the Sun is a very lazy one. Alex Otti of APGA is going to win the Abia state governorship, and he's not defecting to any APC. There's no truth whatsoever in this lousy report. Instead, Rochas is trying to ensure that he succeeds in winning a reelection in Imo. |
omenka:You're totally wrong in your imagination. (How do you guys even expect every political block to support your "change" in a democracy?) The Igbo have decided to support PDP. That's a very clear political direction they've taken. The presidency isn't that important for the Igbo. (Ask any Igbo man or woman). Besides, the Igbo have a better chance of attaining any post they want in PDP than APC. GEJ has not lost. Igbo is for PDP and you have to live with that. The Igbos are very comfortable with PDP. |

MARCH 28, 2015 : ENIOLA AKINKUOTU formerer Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was embarrassed by a thug, Ise Aye, while Tinubu was doing his accreditation at polling unit 047 on Kaffi/Sunday Adigun Street, Alausa, Ikeja. The thug, who had scars on his face and tattoos all over his body, shouted at the governor and accused him of neglecting some of the youths in the area. While shouting in Yoruba, he said, “You abandoned us here. The leaders here did not give us money. I know what I have suffered in the hands of the PDP all because I refused to join them. We remained loyal to the APC because of your late mother (Iya Mogaji) that lived here. “Anytime I come here looking for money, they refer me to Bourdillon in Ikoyi but no one allows me to enter your mansion.” Tinubu, who felt insulted by the outburst, described Ise Aye as an untrained young man lacking in wisdom. He said, “Do you have any sense at all? Is that how you were trained to talk to elders. Get out of here, you are embarrassing me.” The young man eventually prostrated for Tinubu. Tinubu, while addressing journalists at his late mother’s home, said he was impressed with the conduct of the elections so far. The APC leader admitted that it took a few minutes before the card reader could authenticate his finger print but added that it still remained the best option. He distanced himself from text messages purportedly sent to Lagosians by him that they should vote for President Goodluck Jonathan. When asked by a reporter why he supported Jonathan instead of Nuhu Ribadu of his party(the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria) in the 2011 elections, Tinubu said, “You must retract that statement. If not, I will assume that you are working for the PDP. http://www.punchng.com/afcon-2013/thug-accuses-tinubu-of-neglect-at-polling-unit/ |
At the end GEJ will win. |
The president has been standing for more than 25minutes and the INEC card reader has so far failed. Whereas that of Buhari went smoothly in less than 4minutes. Could this be premeditated by INEC? |
Let's preach peace to everyone. GEJ till 2019! |
Mark this "Though we know there are also elements within the political class that would not want a normal election process to come and be put behind us. “I will appeal to politicians and their followers and supporters to keep the peace, maintain the peace and ensure a violence-free elections… and whoever wants to invoke or provoke violence will meet organised violence waiting for him.” This election will come and go. GEJ will continue till 2019. Nigerians, abeg don't join those that go to the streets for any kind of unlawful action. After the 'celebration of democracy' coming up on 28 March and GEJ is returned elected everyone should think of what productive activity to engage so as to keep our economy going forward. |
The head of Nigeria’s army on Wednesday vowed a violent crackdown on election-related unrest, as security tightened before this weekend’s presidential and parliamentary vote. Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah said the armed forces, police and other organisations had made “adequate arrangements” for security at this Saturday’s poll. Bloody election-related violence has been a major concern at previous votes in Nigeria, especially between supporters of rival political parties. In 2011, around 1,000 people were killed in clashes after Goodluck Jonathan’s victory over Muhammadu Buhari for the presidency. Minimah said heightened security would be in place both for the presidential and parliamentary vote on Saturday as well as on April 11, when gubernatorial and state assembly elections are held. “I do not envisage any issue because this is just an election and it will come and go,” he told a news conference. “Though we know there are also elements within the political class that would not want a normal election process to come and be put behind us. “I will appeal to politicians and their followers and supporters to keep the peace, maintain the peace and ensure a violence-free elections… and whoever wants to invoke or provoke violence will meet organised violence waiting for him.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/army-chief-vows-crackdown-on-election-unrest/ |

GEJ victory is assured. Majority of people in Lagos say that they'll vote GEJ. You hear this in public places eg, bars, public transport, markets, etc. Wonder how APC manages to get large online supporters. Maybe most of these online peeps are living abroad. GEJ till 2019. |

POPdecorator:These are EXECUTIVE members!! Not ordinary members. |
I can assure you that many prominent APC people will still defect to PDP within the next 72 hours. GEJ is destined to be in Aso Rock till 2019. Nigeria's time to develop has arrived. No agents of backwardness and destruction can stop it. Everyone can attest to the infrastructural revolution ongoing across the nation, and in every sector. Roads, bridges, schools, rail-lines, seaports(Onicha), Almajiri schools, agricultural infrastructures, airports, just to name a few. GEJ till 2019 |
Ten executive committee members of the opposition All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State have defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party. The group said they defected in order to render support to the PDP governorship candidate, Nuhu Ribadu. Among the defectors are Publicity Secretary, Mr. Padio; State Youth Leader, Usman Mohammed Danyaro; Assistant Secretary, Maiyani Yunis; State woman leader, Hauwa Agwu; Financial Secretary, Papka Medugu; Auditor, Musa Hero; Zonal women leader (South), Mercy Abraham; and Zonal Youth Leader (central), Abdu James. Already APC is vowing to revoke the 2nd Niger Bridge GEJ has initiated if elected. That's just one destructive aspect. Nigerians should not allow that. GEJ till 2019! |
By Chimaobi Nwaiwu Nnewi — Wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan, yesterday in Onitsha described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the name of an expired drug already rejected by Nigerians. Dame Jonathan said the train service, the analog former President and APC presidential candidate could not repair when he was in power was what her husband has repaired. Describing APC as an unsteady party that was always changing from one name to another, Mrs. Jonathan said the party would die its final death on March 28, 2015, presidential election when Nigerians would vote her husband into office. “They have changed their name again, very unsteady party, this time it is APC, the name of an analog expired drug Nigerians rejected because of its ineffectiveness, they will change name again to Ebola and then, they will die their final death, Saturday March 28 will mark the end and final death of APC because they will be disgraced again by Nigerians who have always rejected them,” she said She described the APC presidential standard bearer as analog, against digital PDP and urged Nigerians not to vote APC, being a backward party that would not offer them any reasonable thing. According to her, the opposition party will instead, destroy all the things President Jonathan and his predecessor had built. She said: “Before, we were using typewriter to type and it took all our time, today we are using computer to type and it is saving our time and energy, why should we go back to typewriter and leave computer, we must move forward. We cannot leave digital stage of life and go back to the analogue stage, God forbid.” She reminded Anambra and South East women that in 2011, they made her proud as one of their own, and told them that she was expecting more from them since she and her husband never forgot them after the elections. ‘’Remember what Jonathan did for us during the burial of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, he made us proud and ensured that he was given a befitting burial and this is the time to pay him back, by voting massively for him to ensure that some of the projects he started in Anambra State and in South East in general, like the second Niger Bridge are completed. “If you vote for APC all the projects President Jonathan started will be abandoned, it is their way; they do not build, but they know how to destroy that is why their Deputy Govornor and their members are decamping to PDP, you have to be careful with that party that is comfortable in jailing husband and wife for no justifiable offence,” Mrs. Jonathan said. She said that the welfare of women and their children was upper most in her mind, adding that the government of President Jonathan would fight to increase affirmative action of the PDP government to 50 per cent from its present 35 per cent. She said: “Do not vote for the presidential candidate that does not have regards for women; when he was Head of State, he refused to let Nigerians know his wife until recently when he was reminded by PDP women that women are no more for the kitchen alone, and he hurriedly decided to bring her out.” Also speaking, wife of former governor of Anambra State, Dame Margaret Peter Obi and PDP Director of Women Mobilisation, Mrs. Bekky Igweh, said, Dame Jonathan was not supposed to campaign in the South East in general because she and her husband had done enough to get their votes. She urged the women and their children to vote massively for President Jonathan. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/dame-jonathan-in-onitsha-describes-apc-as-expired-drug/ |
GEJ till 2019. Forward ever! |
