That claim was made by one religious mofos! She said God did it for her family as they moved into apartment without rent and how everything is going rosy for them in the youkay!

And yes, it has been Rosy. We have completed paying all the fees. Perhaps you need to develop a solid relationship with Abba Father. Why don't you test and enjoy this Grace and favour I have been enjoying. I am available to answer any questions you may have regarding returning to God.

NUMBER OF SELF-EMPLOYED

So I currently work for a Company. I also have a self-employed role to lecture/tutor. Now I have an offer to consult for a Law Services firm on a self-employed basis too.

Is there a limit on the number of self-employed roles here?

Please note I am on a Student dependant visa.

I know I have to register separate businesses and pay taxes for additional self-employed roles. Asides that any restriction?

Im sure u already planning coughing out about 12k pounds post study visa fee for all your 4 family members or getting a sponsorship outside care?

Is that one a problem? It will be paid. We will be done with School fees by June. So enough time to plan for that. By the way, we did not come in for PSW. We might switch to the Visa we had plans for originally, if we save up more funds and have enough time. Otherwise we will switch a year into.

Me I am speaking by faith. The same way I have always done.

Let's take a look at the analysis again.
Your husband is the student and has a 20 hrs job and the only holiday we had was December holidays which was 3 weeks of which he worked 40hrs.

Your self employed teaching jobs bring 500 to the table each month abi. Aside this teaching job is there any other job again

I have a full-time job which I have not mentioned the salary. But on the average we paid 4000 pounds per month for 4 months. We had no rent to pay in those 4 months because we had paid 4 months in advance in December.

Congrats on this.

Once you are done with tuition, open a LISA account for you and your partner and start saving towards your first home.

Thank you we will think about this.

U mean between between 5 months u where able to work 21000 pounds in this UK to pay fees? That job must be between 5000 pounds per month

Over 21000 pounds and salary is not up to 5000. Also we paid 2000 pounds already in October, so not exactly 5 months. I have a self employed teaching role by the side to raise feeding and house hold bills. My husband has a 20 hours job and worked 40 hours during holidays. Also since we paid rents ahead all our salaries for those 4 months went there. While we survived with the teaching benefits of averagely 500 pounds.

Also I had a tax refund of over a thousand pounds too. All of this went into fees.

Please note we also have 2 kids.

It takes discipline and self denial. No eating out and no purchases. Thank God we came with plenty clothes for our children and us.

Actually most of us feeling the heat at the moment are those that came tru student route and those that came tru all those care route (without shift/work).

But if na work visa with an organization wey get work ooo (even if na care/support work).

Trust me, most likely u'll break in financially in less than a year.

But u see those of us in the categories I mentioned in the first paragraph, we'll also break tru by God's grace.

It just that omoh....the sweats/blood/tears no be here (especially the first year) but the tenacity/believe that things will get better keeps us going.

Mind u, some people are on scholarship....those ones just dey ball🤣

I just want to encourage someone. My husband had half school fees, but because of a sudden development in the church we were running we had to divert the funds for a long term lease. So that the church can continue to run while we were away, and there was no other alternative. We ended up coming in with zero kobo and the school is a Russel Group, and students who are self paying can come in without school fees deposit.

Total school fees was 27,100 and even though we had housing challenges. I ended up with a good job in 4 weeks.

Long story cut short, in December we got a house with 4 months advance rent. We started paying school fees in January after the first 2000 deposit we made in October I.e. after so much pressure from the School.

Please note that we came in September 2023, and by end of May we will be having about 2300 left to pay as school fees.

My advice is, if you are sure that relocating is God's divine plan. Please relocate.

Stop this. We also came here last month and my husband is on his 2nd job. I as his dependent will be starting my job on Monday. Our children have since started school. If you want to come to UK come. But carry God along. He is the only one that is faithful.

Experiences are different for every one. My husband is on his 2nd job since we got here in September and he is schooling. We also got a house in 2 weeks by favour. I also just got a contract job and I will be resuming on Monday.

We did not pay a dime in school fees till now and no threats. School has accepted for us to pay any money we have monthly. The difference is that we have relied on God.

Our children have also started school.

We do have some bad days, but God has been faithful.

Try and network too. A Nigerian helped us in getting a house that allowed us to move in before paying rent couple of days after. The owner of the house is also African and he only took one moth rent and deposit. This journey needs God and faith. Pray to God and have faith!

Yes we
fullclub:
landlord are refusing to give out their houses to student.. especially to family couples.
they require you to make 6 months upfront or come with a uk guarantor
this is my observation

imagine paying 5m for house rent after spending all your money in nigeria.

Good Afternoon All,

I need your advice. Ok so I got a job to resume today on a salary of over 50k. I even signed a contract. Everything went well until I was asked to provide NIN. I came in to UK just last month and I applied for NIN on the 17th of this month. I shared my right to work code and BRP, however, since then I have heard nothing.

When I called HR, they referred me to my recruiter. I tried calling the recruiter but until now he has not called back. I used another number to call to see if perhaps my number was blocked as call kept being busy. Recruiter called back on that line but I did not pick. He is still yet to call my own number he has.

I feel so sad at the moment as it was a reputable Company.

Any word of encouragement or advice will do. Please note that I am a Dependent (Student Visa).

Thanks a lot.

I don't understand the NIN you are talking.about.
Is it the National Insurance Number at the back of your BRP?

Why apply for NIN when you already have it on your BRP or is it a different NIN you are referring to?

Hi. Goke. Thank you so much for your encouragement. I did share proof of applying for NIN.

Any idea how long it takes for the HRMC/UK to get back to me on the NIN. I felt kind of bad because I had some rejections at the application stage before now. Anyway, I will continue to apply and I trust God for good news. I am a Sis though even though I am a Son of God. grin
Goke7:

Did you show them proof of the application for your NIN? I think your focus now should be getting your NIN, you can always contact the company back and I think since you have signed the contract, the job may still be intact. if they do not respond again, Please move on, that you got such a job means you can always get another easily. Be encouraged bruv,

You do not need Transit Visa. I am using that route by next week. Please make sure you have your Yellow Fever Vaccine Card for Cotonou.

Dear my People,

I was given a grace of 3 days to hold a one way ticket from Cotonou to Heathrow on Sep 20 2023 with paid amount of 60USD.

The airline is Turkish and it has a 4 hours layover at Turkiye. I hope it will not need a transit visa before I make the total payment tomorrow.

Awaiting your advice sir and ma.

Did you have any legal experience in Nigeria?
Look for Legal Advisor roles. Also check out jobs requiring lawyers from Common Law Jurisdiction
You can also handle Data Privacy Roles.

Any one in Edinburgh. A family of 4 needs a shared flat to rent. About 2 rooms required as I understand UK policy on overcrowding.

It will be short term until they secure a good flat to rent.

The MA's school is resuming on September 11 and all students must be available on that day. Flight is for the 8th which is already late.

Cashmadam:

Hmmm I don't see the need for that move..

730 Dollars could have gotten a ticket from Lagos to Gatwick.

Anyway, glad it's sorted.
