When he was sacked, he had 31pts from 20games, that's barely 1.2pts per game.

He even had a loss record, he managed 63 games, won 24, lost 26 and draw 13. That's a poor return.

If you limit it to the premier League, he managed 47 games, won 15, lost 19 and draw 13. Still a poor return.

I do accept that maybe we should've given him more time but the result didn't lie and the sack was deserved.

Is this stats for both seasons he was here? Or the comparison is the improvement on his first season?

The pattern too clear. For any sustainable growth, there has to be a period where the team is bent into shape. The results won't be pretty but it has to happen alongside strategic signing of players. I'll love to see it happen any other way but it's been about 5 years now I think

I am only interested in the interest of the institution called Manchester United. However my point is that Carrick turned a disastrous season around from the road to perdition Amorim had it headed and got the club European football. His precedent means he deserves a chance to turn the fortune of the club around after only 4 league matches of which he has won one,drawn one and lost two.

The season is redeemable. Except for the Hull and the Brighton games which was poor,in the City and Everton games United were very unlucky and could have won both games.
I repeat the season is very redeemable!
